It is my understanding that Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey signed into law a bill that makes it illegal to counsel a child to repent of the sin of homosexual lust. Near as I can tell, here is a man following Satan. When your own personal ambition (he is a leading candidate for the presidency of the United States) causes you to ignore the will of the Lord, you are following Satan.
 
well at least i can see he wouldnt turn us into a theocracy if elected...has my vote so far. you worry far too much about the gays

Chris Christie is more interested in winning an election than he is obeying the Lord. You can find a better candidate than that.
 
I've heard of these so called "therapy" sessions for gay people. Some of them are pretty abusive from what I understand. You can't beat the gay out of someone. Recently there was a pastor in NY who recommended some parents beat their effeminate sons to try to get them to go the right way. That's sickening. If it's legitimate therapy to help someone he wouldn't ban that, but abusive therapy I'm all for banning that.

We are supposed to resist temptation, not give in to it. The only time sex is permitted is when people are married to each other, and Jesus said a man is supposed to marry a woman, not a man:

[6] But from the beginning of creation, `God made them male and female.'
[7] `For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife,
[8] and the two shall become one flesh.' So they are no longer two but one flesh. Mark 10:6-8 RSV

Actually, it sort of IS a homosexuality thread, specific to a popular candidate for president who, as I understand it, signed into law a bill making it illegal to counsel children to stop committing the sin of homosexuality.

GOOD! That's for a church setting...not the secular therapist setting. It's unethical for us to practice at all. I don't agree with homosexuality...but sometimes, as Christians, we need to show compassion. :)

We need to obey the Lord at all times. You can't say that in this particular "secular" setting, the laws of the Lord are null and void. Homosexuality causes great problems, and if you want to properly treat someone, you need to encourage them to give up the practice.
 
Just another in the long line of sad liberal republicans masquerading as conservatives.

The question of homosexuality is clear in the bible and Jesus would not be God if He could not change a person from a sinful life.....

period.
