Whatever ancient rituals you are talking about were
done in vain ignorance to appease their false gods.
I think I'm safe in speaking for the majority of Christians when I
say we don't bow down or offer sacrifices to our Christmas trees.
Our modern observance of Christmas is not meant to appease Christ.
It is ideally meant to commemorate His birth and act in His giving
spirit so that the lost among us might desire to have what we have.
Yes, we should live like that every day,
but it's not wrong to amplify it for a season of the year.

We are to worship in Spirit an truth, the Messiah's birthday is not Dec 25, it is arounf the Feast of Tabernacles most likely and since every Feast day is/will be fulfilled by the Messiah, and not just fulfilled but literally fulfilled on the month, day and minute of that prophetic shadow picture, this gives me insight that indeed He was born on the first day of tabernacles. Why re-purpose a Babylonian ritual and say its for the Messiah. And yet we are in the times in which I am spoken evil of for not wanting to partake in this ritual straight out of Babylon. And yes every part of it is taken from Babylonian rituals.
The Messiah is not amplified on Christmas; trees, santa, and gifts are.

You are right lost people are lost, and many times i lose sleep over it, but I realized, at times to lesser application, that it is not for me to make them know the truth, just to speak with the little ability Yahweh has given me, if they are really Yahweh's He will call them out of Babylon.
PS I do think it would be great if all the "followers of Messiah" removed all the pagan idols, icons, practices, etc, etc from this world, if this were done there would be less material for satan to mislead with, but I know we are in the days were removing the tools of satan is spoken evil of, the sad part is this is even spoken evil of in the "congregations."

In the wake of scandals involving tainted food and toothpaste from China comes word of a new concern from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission as well as the Food and Drug Administration – toys, makeup, glazed pottery and other products that contain significant amounts of lead.
While lead poisoning among children was once mainly caused by old paint, U.S. manufacturers long ago banned the ingredient. Today, a new rash of high lead levels in the bloodstreams of American kids is being caused by foreign products – mainly from China.
So serious is the resurgence of lead poisoning among U.S. children that the Iowa Department of Public Health is working on writing a new law to require mandatory testing of those entering school for the first time.
Lead poisoning, once a concern mainly in dilapidated urban areas, can cause learning disabilities, kidney failure, anemia and irreversible brain damage in children.
Rita Gergely, chief of Iowa’s bureau of lead poisoning prevention, specifically cited concerns about children’s jewelry imported from China.
Because of lead contamination, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of several children’s items all imported from China:
Children’s metal jewelry was found to contain high levels of lead. About 103,000 multicolored necklaces, bracelets, earrings and charms imported by Tween Brands Inc. of New Albany, Ohio, were affected. Some of the jewelry have the words “High School Musical” printed on them or include pictures of the popular movie. Others have frogs, hearts, stars, dogs with dog bones, flowers, and monkeys that hang from silver, black or brown chains or cords. The jewelry was sold at Limited Too and Justice retail stores nationwide.
Toy drums coated with red paint were found to contain excessive levels of lead. About 4,500 of the Eli’s Small Drums and Liberty’s Large Drums were recalled. They were sold in gift and collectible stores nationwide and were imported by Boyds Collection Ltd in Pennsylvania.
About 3,000 action figure toys called “Invincibles Transport Converters” contain surface paints with high levels of lead. They were imported by the Army & Air Force Exchange Service of Dallas.
Children’s gardening gloves imported by MTD Products of Valley City, Ohio, were found to have a stamp-painted logo on the backside containing high levels of lead.
Children’s turquoise rings imported by Cardinal Distributing in Baltimore were found to have high lead levels. About 300,000 of the silver-colored rings were recalled.
About 200,000 children’s necklaces, bracelets and rings imported by Spandrel Sales and Marketing Inc. of Tempe, Ariz., were found to contain high lead levels. The recalled jewelry included pendants that hang from silver-colored bracelet and necklace chains, and silver-colored rings with a charm on top. Charm shapes include silver-colored crosses, suns, moons, stars, butterflies, cupids, angels, keys, elephants, hands, cell phones, fish and shoes. They were sold mostly in vending machines for 25 cents.
About 5,000 bamboo game sets called “Anima” were found to contain lead paint. The products were imported by and sold in Target stores nationwide.

Our children received piles of gifts from grandparents and great aunts and uncles with a lot of disposable income and a great love for the kids. (hard to fault that one! 
)
We never did the Santa thing. Didn't want to lie to them, or ever have them question the Lord's Reality. (i.e., if Santa's not really real, what about God?)
Now that they're grown, they give to one another one gift, always thought about for months, and meaningful.
They fill many shoeboxes and adopt a family from a charity whose kiddos would otherwise have nothing.
They put their money together to buy goats and chickens.
None of us can pass a red bucket without putting something in it, coming and going. If someone is willing to stand in the cold we are certainly willing to donate. I mean, which is easier?
The Lord worked in the kids' hearts and they never thought of Christmas as a time to get, in spite of the relatives' generosity.
Maybe they learned their generosity from those wonderful people?
Just my thoughts on gifts...I've seen how God can use anything.

Weird stuff, peace, love and joy does not come as a wish, but as a result of living in FAITH, the TRUE FAITH. Not from gifts or presents, not from a santa claus, or any Christmas pagan practice, not even from the very tree itself, problem is we want to look at the good things of Christmas and forget the ROOT purpose of it, and it is definetly NOT TO HONOUR CHRISTS BIRTH considering the LORD was NEVER born on that very day.

Actually, expecting to receive gifts and giving gifts to one another is well within in the meaning of xmas. Xmas, itself, is not Christian.

Do yourself a favor and do a study on xmas and find that it's origins are 2000 years BEFORE Christ. It is a pagan celebration of Isis (Nimrod), Osiris (Semiramis) and Horus (the reincarnation of Isis). Look into a few things like the origin of the yule log, the xmas tree, mistletoe and many of the other customs that orginated in Egypt before Israel was freed. God hates these customs...
