just because a teenager does a drug/drugs, or uses profanity and acts rebellious, does not make him a full grown man or mean he should be killed outright in cold blood.

also there is no evidence to support the statement that it was zimmerman calling for help, and not trayvon martin.
no was able to prove who's voice was calling out in distress, in the end. not even the professionals involved.
trayvon's own father stated honestly that he did not know whether or not it was trayvon himself crying out for help.

The thing is, I don't think anyone who believes Zimmerman killed Martin in cold blood is supporting Zimmerman. My way of looking at it is that no one knows what happened, except Zimmerman. On the Judgement Day, if Zimmerman has anything coming, he will get it. I feel good knowing that.

You are right, not even Trayvon's Dad knew who was screaming. It's too dim a case for me to shed any light on.

oops. didn't see any responses, my appologies.

Whatever happened, the mainstream media didn't tell the whole story. Obviously the evidence that was persented in court was looked at from an un biased point of view, and George was found innocent. So we can ramble on about what the news media decided to show us, but that wasn't the whole story. I personally do not think George was some racist white mexican man, who hated black people. I think he could of made different choices to avoid what happened. But it is what it is, and it's over with now. Jesus loves him, and loved trayvon as well. We're living in a world that is seperated from the Lord, so all we can excpect are people to act off of how they feel. And not take Godly wisdom into account.

Everyone makes mistakes, and people do crazy things when they fear for their lives. Even if the threat isn't as great as they think it is.

He killed a kid.

No one disputes that.

Regarding the news? Many people here claiming to be Christian championed this man. This scumbag. They cheered on the killing of a kid. Reporting this news is reminding them which side they chose.

He was found not guilty of murder. That means he killed a 17 yr old who was beating him up, in self defense. So calling him a child slayer is misleading, whether you agree or not.

Nope. Slayer of Children. That's the legal terminology.

According to you lot, only Zimmerman was entitled to defend himself (with the cowards way, a gun).

Apparently Trayvon had no right to defend himself with fists.

With the History behind Zimmerman.... it is answer to prayer that the
truth be brought out into the light.

Lots of mug shots... lots of trouble. Sad for the family who lost their
son, no matter the truth ~

Agreed, whatever happened, it is very sad. It happens in different ways everyday, but for some reason this case was the different cause it was "racialy charged"

that that should justify my being shot directly in the heart as i try to run the other direction while being chased.

he was unarmed, and running away from confrontation.

how do you know he wasn't running from confrontation ?

I fixed it for you.

County medical examiner's autopsy report

The Volusia County medical examiner found that Martin was killed by an injury resulting from a single gunshot to the back, fired at "intermediate range", between 1 and 18 feet according to a forensic expert.[SUP][15][/SUP][SUP][Note 7][/SUP] An FDLE analysis of Martin's body and clothes described the distance as "possibly a contact shot".[SUP][109][/SUP] The autopsy also found that Martin had zero small abrasions on his left ring finger below the knuckle. No other injuries were found on Martin's body at the time of his death.[SUP][15]

Don't worry, I've not forgotten that you lot saw him as a hero. I doubt the Lord has forgotten what's in each of your hearts either.

What is he a hero of? Defending himself? Killing someone in the process? Being Hispanic? I don't think anyone champions him as a hero. Even though he's innocent of murder that still doesn't count toward heroism. I find it very odd, though, that people seem to villify him while championing Trayvon Martin as a hero and martyr, considering neither one of them seem to have had a particularly good set of morals. In fact when I think about this case I'm reminded of a verse that I have tied to my finger as I write:

Leviticus 19:15 Do not be unjust in judging — show neither partiality to the poor nor deference to the mighty, but with justice judge your neighbor.

Justice is blind to our social status, our gender, our race, our religion and our age. It's only concern is with who is morally (in this case, legally) right and who is morally wrong. I feel that the reason God gave Israel Leviticus 19:15 is to prevent biases and sympathies from influencing a case. If the mighty are right, then acquit them. If the poor are wrong, then condemn them. And vice versa. Otherwise we're all going to play the tool when people use the minority card or the race card or the gender card, ad nauseum.

Keep in mind David is Australian. Australians don't have the right to bear arms like Americans do. His view will be biased towards the laws in his own country which is only natural. From what I remember about firearms conversations with David he is against them. As much as I disagree with David on well, about EVERYTHING it is best to keep in mind the differences, and that he is entitled to his views.
As far as calling Trayvon a "child" I cannot agree to that. 17 is old enough to be tried as an adult. Legally he is a minor, but that doesn't put him in a category of a defenseless child. As a matter of fact 17 is likely to be considered as an adult in the eyes of God. Jesus was preaching at 12. Mary was likely younger than 17 when she gave birth to Jesus. Joash began his reign as king at the age of 7.
17 is certainly old enough to understand right from wrong. It certainly isn't an age of innocence.

no one knows for certain that zimmerman is innocent of murder.

why do you defend and champion him ?

show me a mature 17 year old male, who acts in all instances as a sophisticated adult, in this day and age .

you may find a very few, but it is the exception and not the rule, in my experience.

According to the legal system he is not guilty. Doesn't mean what he did is right. It could also mean the legal system needs work. I like consistant rules because I know what I can expect.

I fixed it for you.

i checked wikipedia too, i have no idea what to say.. i didn't change anything that was there,
maybe someone else did or didn't ...i have no idea.

i wish i knew for sure what happened.
it just doesn't seem to me that zimmerman should have continued to chase martin, when he was explicitly told not to do so by 911 emergency responders.
neighborhood watch is supposed to be just that, 'watch' and report. not, 'follow, carry a gun and shoot.'
he did have a car he didn't have to get out of and chase martin with..
he could have just driven home and waited for the police to show up.
