Mat 11:16 But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows,
Mat 11:17 And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented.
Mat 11:18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil.
Mat 11:19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children
.
Mat 11:20 Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not:
Mat 11:21 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
Mat 11:22 But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you.
Mat 11:23 And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.
Mat 11:24 But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.
Mat 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
Mat 11:26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.
Mat 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Mat 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Everyone will give account on that day, and us having been given so much time to change, repent from our ways will face the very just judgement of Christ!!
And HE is a never changing GOD!!. what excuse is redeemable in His sight? What will i say when HE asks me of all the blood i let be spilled unto hades, all the souls i let run to sin and eventually hell.?. Will the judgement i face be tolerable? will the work i did be acceptable in HIS SIGHT?
For i know the answers to all those questions in my heart, i plead my brothers and sisters that we may lift each other up that we may counted worthy to enter into HIS rest. That the works we do, and did through FAITH in HIS truth and leading of HIS Holy Ghost be counted as SOMETHING than nothing..

What then should the Lord liken this generation?
The Lord has called us, unctioned us, put in our hearts to do HIS will, but excuses always came up.
Will Hell spit us out? When we have not shown any truthfulness and faithfulness to CHRIST?

for we hold on to one part of the word of GOD and forget the others, are we more than the pharisees? One leg in, one leg out. Is lukewarm the state of HIS Spirit?

Jesus was speaking specifically to God's chosen people. Our generation is not God's chosen people, but pagans and a few called forth. Christ would not and did not speak to pagans as he spoke to the Jews. Pagans were but dogs in his eyes. There are many pagan temples today masquerading as Christian churches. You can tell who is who by whether they obey the law. Are women in submission? No, then probably a pagan temple. Today God speaks to individual churches (cf Rev). I should imagine that quite a few churches would be likened unto Sardis and Laodicea (Rev 3;17,18)

So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

Every saint is chosen by Christ. So we can relate to that passage of scripture.!!.

Joh_10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
Joh_10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

2 Tim.4
[1] I charge thee therefore before GOD,
and the LORD Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick (the living) and the dead
at his appearing and his kingdom
[2] Preach the Word (about good things from GOD);
be instant in season, out of season;
reprove, rebuke, exhort (urge) with all longsuffering and doctrine.
[3] For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
[4] And they shall turn away their ears from the truth,
and shall be turned unto fables.

considering Jesus was speaking to stiff-necked unbelievers in 1st century Jerusalem:

Mat 11:16 But whereunto shall I liken this generation?

not sure what your issue is.

then why so fearful?:)
peace to you..peace.

This is a good example how the modern church will take the scripture my yoke is easy and my burden is light and say yes that scripture I like that's for me. I will hold on to that truth. Yet tell them their stiff necked and well that was 2000 years ago.

No, today the church is stiff necked. The scriptures are a living epistle. They are alive to you today.

Yes brother,

The Word of GOD endures forever but nobody told us.

Isa.40
[6] The voice said, Cry. And he said,
What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:
[7] The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it:
surely the people is grass.
[8] The grass withereth, the flower fadeth:
but the Word of our GOD (the was preached by the Apostles) shall stand for ever.

The Overcomer shall inherit all things per Jesus.

the church is not stiff-necked.

there are just people outside the body, who have come near but do not enter....like 2000 years ago.

they say they are of Christ, but are not.

Stiff neckedness is a character that ANYONE, from a believer to a non-believer can have.

I have heard a pastor run from GODs calling, is that not being stiff-neckedness?
I have heard CHRISTIANS refuse to give up things they know they are not suppose to do, is that not stiff-neckedness?
