In all the years I've been saved, not ONE time has God ever told me to go and study anything but His word. I know that if I study the Bible itself, as God has said in 2nd Timothy 2:15. I believe that the Bible(King James Bible) is the ONLY inerrant word of God because God told me so through a proper study of His word. That is why you HAVE to study it,not just base your belief on one verse. You have to believe the Bible to be saved. The reason people don't understand the King James Bible is because they don't want to change their beliefs andapply it to their lives. When I started doing that, I had less problems understanding The King James Bible. This discussion will go on until the Lord returns justlike the one about losing salvation, which,by the way , I believe cannot happen because ,if it could, then God would NOT be the God He says He is. God loves you.
KJV Authorised by King James, not Authorised by God.

Strongs is good but the BDAG And Kittels is far superior. They not only identify words but also indicate the differences of grammatical constructions using Prepositions, Particles, participles, as well as idioms and so much more.

I never heard of it. I'll read up a bit on it to see what it is.

That's why I believe what God has told me and not man because He has told me ,speaking to my heart through studying His word, That the King James Bible IS His INERRANT word. God authorized it, God had it translated the way HE wanted it translated. God was in control the whole time. He expects us to believe it,accept it, study it to understand it(as 2nd Timothy 2:15 says), and APPLY it to our lives. If you have trouble understanding The King James Bible, God has told me that either you are not saved(since you MUST be to get God's meaning of His word) or you are not spiritually mature enough to properly handle the knowledge you are asking God for. As I have stated before, God does NOT intend for His word to be easily understood. That is why we HAVE to pray, study, and change our belief to match what God says instead of trying to change God to match us. I have grown a great deal since God showed me all thisand He has NEVER given me reason to doubt His word(the King James Bible).Thank you.

NASB is the pure, perfect, inerrant, infallable Word of God.

;) hi guys!
I don't use NLT for personal reading, but it seems like they did a solid job translating it.

.
Reminds me of the end of Life of Brian:

"I'm the Messiah"

"No, I'm the Messiah"

"I'm the Messiah and so is my wife"

Good luck with that one.

I have been saved for many years and I believe that studying the ancient text is far superior to the KJV.

I like your statements on Gun control. My 30-06 and 308 have good control but as far as the KJV only thing , well that is another story.

Why does it use different words to translate the same Hebrew word? I am referring to the Hebrew term "mashiyach " translated as anointed 37 times and messiah twice? Why?

Possibly the worst failing of the KJV was to translate the word " ekklēsia" by the term "church" and not by the word "congregation" so as to validate the concept of the State church that prevailed in those times, which in fact was completely unscriptural in terms of biblical theology.

Nope, the NASB is a corrupt counterfeit which claims that God was deceived in Psalm 78:36.

If you want God's true words, then stick with the Authorized King James Bible.

The best way is to pray.
Learn biblical Greek and Hebrew (or rely on the available tools).
pray.
Read several English translations.
pray.
Learn a few foreign languages and read those translations.
pray.
Read commentaries when there is still doubt (prayerfully). Don't be afraid of commentaries. The Holy Spirit has been speaking to men for thousands of years. You are not the first one he chose to speak to.
The original manuscripts are infallible. The translations are not.
Also, remember this...

Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Now as tdrew777 said, hit your knees.

Because many times a Hebrew word can have several different meanings depending on the context. For one example of this: just look up and do a study of the Hebew word Sheol.

The word church as translated in the King James Bible, is the right word. The King James Bible is always right.

The word church simply means an assembly of called out believers.

And so the idea of a state church is NOT suported in the Scriptures (King James Bible).

Oh and one other thing, the King James Bible uses both church and assembly.

The Message by Eugene Peterson is a New Age Commentary based on how Eugene thought the text of the Bible should read. Its basically his opinions and private interpretation.

Haha, I know. I'm just playin' wit ya. I do find it interesting how someone can conclude the KJV 1611 is the only bible to use and all others are satanic. Seems to be rather problematic.

The 1769 Oxford KJV is also not satanic.
