i confess that i didn't take the time to check and see if someone else already mentioned this suggestion. i think it would be great to have a bible reading room. i know people can go into an unused room but if it caught on, and you know how people draw people, there wouldn't be a rule of the room so to speak. anyway, it's just a thought. thanks JB

Well, i rarely go into the chats anymore. Not since before they started the second bible room. And usually when i check there its empty. Guess i just don't get the point of a room to just read the bible.

Re: Simple Bible

Mon-Wed-Fri 7pm EST onward...

Let's start Friday.

11. Please do not attempt to charter a room for your own official scheduled event/Bible-teaching/Prayer-meeting/etc.

No one should think that they can officially charter one of our chat rooms for their own special event without permission/authorization from the Admin of this site. We make this rule for two reasons: (1) we don't want just anyone setting themselves up as an official teacher of the Bible here and making it seem officially organized by us; and (2) the rooms are meant for open chat, and no room should be controlled by any particular person (except as authorized by the Admin of this site).

How about you put a sticky or a mass e-mail out of a bible discussion/ bible reading time...

Kinda like at major Christian universities they will invite a prominent atheist or Muslim or even Jew to discuss the position of God... We could do the same, and point out verses like...

On Wednesday 10, p.m. Central we are discussing what 1John 3:6 means... Please be well read and ready to respectfully listen to others opinions...

And make sure a few mod's, from different denominations are present (if possible) to keep from having a 1 sided pull...
