God did not pick the fight with satan, satan was the instigator.
Job 1
8 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

Looks like God brought it up to me. Also Job was the first book written and has to with sanctification being a lifelong process.

I am sad that you did not listen to what the others had to say. Your application is good, because it fits with other Scripture, but you seem to have missed the whole point of the book. I beg you to go back and read some of the posts on here. If you say the trials were Job's fault, then you are guilty of "speaking wrongly of God" just like Job's 3 friends.
Ukorin, what do you not understand with.... I fall in sack and ash.... AND REPENT? Why would a perfect servant repent? Perfection needs no repentance.... JOB ABHORE.... Go look what ABHORE means.... IN JOb 42 he ABHORE.... That is what ALL unwise, uninformed, God bestranged people should do, with all the FALSE TEACHINGS they uttered....

Job abhore for writing the WHOLE BOOK OF JOB, when HE SAW GOD, Job SAW HIS SIN AND WHY HE SUFFERED.... because of the SIN HE REPENTED FROM IN JOB 42.... When Job realized he was a SINNER when GOD SHOWED HIM IN JOB 42, Job repented from the sin... and HE ABHORE HIMSELF... Withdrew HIMSELF FROM EVERYTHING HE SAID IN JOB...

The whole book of Job is only a lesson on what a man ca nthink of HIMSELF when GOD IS NOT EVEN IN THE PICTURE...

You are a JOB at the moment... I know MILLIONS of JObs that are sinners and thing they are PERFECT MEN IN THE SIGHT OF GOD... God looks at the blood and see us PERFECT and HOLY... Job also thought so, fortunately when he SAW God, he REPENTED and withdrew the words... GOD LOOKS AT THE BLOOD.... I just hope all these modern day JOB'S will do the same, or they will NEVER get God's true salvation.... Grace, that gives faith unto a True perfect man... Eph 4:11 to 13... Even perfect right in God's presence. Like God says in MAt 5:48... Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Please believe me.... GOd was serious when He said that. Such a man need NEVER to ABHORE or repent EVER AGAIN... A truly Man of GOD. BORN OF GOD 1 John 3:9.

The suffering spoken of in the bible has nothing to do with sickness. That goes contrary to scripture. If that is true then Jesus suffered in vain, and God is working against Himself. Sickness is the result of a curse, the thing we are suppose to be redeemed from, it is not a blessing from God. The suffering spoken of in the bible has more to do with persecution from others.
My grandmother was the same... Lived beautifully and died gracefully...

She had supper with her only Boer-war surving sister at teh age of 83 when she finished eating an apple with her 5-boer-war general folding knife... She just placed the core of the apple in her plate and said... how lightheaded she felt, is passed on right there in her chair...

Her main suffering was at teh hands of the British soldiers in the concentration camps... wow those British "christian" sodiers, the things they did to the young women of South Africe in the concentration camps... Not Christian like at all.

I wonder this people... My grandmother would read her Bible at night, and pray, and the British soldier she fights would also read the same Bible and pray... Who is the Christian? I know the boer's as the white South Africans are known, were very strong on reading Bible and praying, and yet they suffered tremendiously in the hands of the British soldiers... Real terrorists the British soldiers... and they made South Africa a British colony. But they paid dearly for it. It was a great 3 year war. The boere gave them hell even though they were outnumbered and outgunned...

Anyway, who is at fault when two "christian" nations are at war?

Cobus, my grandmother was also the epitome of a christian. Kind and soft spoken, helped anyone should could even going without to help those in need. Yet, I watched her struggle and great pain before God took her. I was angry with God for a time, then He showed me how happy she is now. We just don't know.

Know1 and Kerry, this is the thing, The SUFFERING war of TRUTH vs. LIE will only end when God comes and put away the LIE forever. Every TRUTH person will be THROWN into the sea of lies here on earth.

Wars are part of the LIE wanting to EXIST. Did God no say we war and kill and fight amongst ourselves, and even the lusts in our members, all is LUST IN OUR MEMBERS.... And this all because we ASK NOT...

This is what I make of the Scripture in James 4... God says ALL eveil is because of the LUST IN OUR MEMBERS, and it is there because we do not ASK TO BE FREED!...

How do we ask to be freed? ,,, THis way.... If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
Jas 1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
FAITH... oh that WORD FAITH... No man can ask without FAITH... So Faith is the key.... And how can we have faith with NO SOUND DOCTRINE? ...

Let me tell you ALL the answers and suggestions in the Bible leads back to ONE PLACE.... TRUTH/God's Word/Christ JEsus/ and the one GOSPEL JESUS TAUGHT... IN HIM! ALL things are IN HIM... All answers are within Christ Jesus.

Th TRUTH shall make us free, and the Truth is the Word of God. The Word teach only ONE DOCTRINE... and only ONE DOCTRINE stands with ALL SCRIPTURE... We have to be perfect! IF we are not perfect, we NEED GOD TO WORK ON US. ONLY a perfect man of God can be free.

Even a SAINT that sinneth no more, is not FREE YET. He is free from sin, but is he free or delivered from his body of death?
Nope not yet..... God has to REMOVE THE CLEANSED SPIRIT AND NITE IT WITH HIS OWN AND MAKE THAT SPIRIT HOLY SPIRIT, THEN that man is Truly free, even from the body of death... the FLESH.....

Here is wht God does with a man HE DESTINED TO BE IN HIMSELF...

God knows all he calls are sinners... SO God calls the sinner, and then God cleanse and justify the sinner unto a saint, then the spirit of the saint is saturated with God's glory, and that spirit is ONE WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT... That saintspirit, becoems HOLY SPIRIT... God's Spirit.... And that Spirit is the EXACT same Spirit Jesus had. In the same GLORY of Jesus as man. Not the Glory of Jesus and Father God, but as Jesus made flesh... Your flesh is made JESUS SPIRIT MAN....
Where is the spirit of the sinner made saint? Gone in the BAPTISM of HOLY SPIRIT... Dead in the BAPTISM OF FIRE... He baptize with fire to BURN ALL SIN AWAY FROM THE SINNER HE CHOSE TO BE HIS GODLY MAN, and He BAPTIZE WITH HOLY GHOST TO MAKE THE DEAD SINNER ALIVE FOR HIMSELF AS A GODLY MAN....

Kerry sorry to hear your randmother died with a lot of suffering, I always believed this.... That a false witness will not be unpunished. So many people comes to the TRUTH and they all seem to REPENT and ABHORE when they do, others never repent or abhore. I justknow God loves to forgive and REMOVE sin from us, so that he can put it to the cross of His Son, and we do not have to pay for it.

However, what if we reject the Truth and hang on to lies? Even though ew have a freat Zeal for God, but without Truth and Knowledge of God's will

Kerry we have talked a lot, I would like to ask you three questions, and please take this with the greatest love you can dig up for me...

1. Do you think God would want us perfect here on earth? I say Yes because there are several verses that says it straight out.
2. Do you think God can make us perfect here on earth? I say YES Mat 19 says all is possible with God.
3. Do you think God makes His peopel perfect here on earth? I say Yes, Eph 4 :11 to 13 says it very clearly...Unto a perfect man.

I cannot find a single verse in the Bible that suggest, that when God is finished with a sinner, that the sinner is still a sinner. I find the opposite... A sinner is only a sinner because God did not WORK ON HIM... God says the sinners, ALL SINNERS are from the devil. And ALL perfect/righteous/holy are HIS CHILDREN.... Every one of them are BORN OF GOD...

How can a man born of GOD be doing things of satan? CANNOT! Same as Satan children CANNOT do God's work.

Please my dear friend Kerry, God saves ALL HIS CHILDREN HERE ON EARTH. And God's salvation is.... UNTO A PERFECT MAN... right here os earth.... Kerry if you know not one perfect man, why do you not become the first one.... ASK GOD TO SAVE YOU, THAT IS ALL... and believe that He will....

I just heard Abding died yesterday, may God give peace to his family. And may they care for the ones alive. May God's will be done in their lives. AMEN!

Hos 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Good people die due to a lack of knowledge of God and the covenant we are in and under. Also, if a child of God does nothing with this covenant, evil will prosper against us, and sickness and disease are part of that evil. It is not of God, and it is not God's fault if we fail to take advantage of His promises that He has made available to us through Jesus the and our Christ.

false teachers abound on this thread. Kerry, just leave them. They do not listen to correction. They speak wrongly of God. If they listened to the book of Job, then they would never be speaking like they do. But they ignore the Word, and replace it with vain fantasy.

know1 and Cobus: the life of a Christian is not always easy. This life is full of struggles and pain, but victory is assured. The perfection that you speak of is not until the Resurrection, as it says clearly in the word. Jesus was perfect, and once covered in His Blood, God views us as if we are as perfect as Christ. This perfection will be made manifest in the Resurrection.
No man is or ever was righteous, but Christ. But all who trust in Christ have claim to His righteousness, by the covering of His Blood.
pm me if you ever put your trust back in Christ alone. Until then, I put you outside of my fellowship. I pray that you learn not to blaspheme.

Try reading Job chapters 1 - 2 God loved Job because he was a man of "integrity". Those two chapters clearly explain that Job suffered because of the challenge that Satan made after wandering the earth and being confronted by God about what he was up to.

That doesn't mean that the incident recorded at Job 32:2 didn't happen and that Job didn't ever behave like the imperfect man that he was. But as for the infamous test of suffering was a different matter. Remember, that God rewarded Jobs faithfulness when it was all over, with tenfold what he had before?

Ukorin, look how heavy the life of Christ was and I NEVER said it was easy, but the life of a Christian should be a lot of hell..... A Christian WILL be hated by the world.... One of the absolute TRUE FACTS of a Christian is....Every one who believes on Jesus WILL BE PERSECUTED...

But here is onw thing you and Kerry does not get.... You should be persecuted for the HOLY LIFE AND THE NAME OF JESUS, NOT for the sin in your life.... You should be persecuted for RIGHTEOUSNESS SAKE, NOT SIN....

Peter says it best.... For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
There is NO GLORY in sin, and there is NO SIN IN GLORY... We should suffer, like Jesus, without them having reason to let us suffer.... There is NO glory when we suffer because we sinned....We should suffer for RIGHTEOUS WORKS... GOOD WORKS...

This can only happen if we have NO SIN AGAINST US... One sin made Adam suffer for the sin. He was fortunate, there were no other people. The same with us, the fact we sin when we preach to other's they must repent, put us in their boat, we need to repent WITH THEM... Then it is the blind leading the blind....

And James teach VERY strongly .... Be not hearers of the WORD but DOERS of the WORD... How can a sinner preach..... Be PERFECT, and the people can believe the WORD? How will my Audience blieve me if I preach BE PERFECT, and I AM NOT PERFECT? HOw can I preach, I say these things to you brethren, that you SINNETH NOT, and I still sin?

But a DOER of the WORD, has to be perfect. Because he not only HEARS BE PERFECT, HE DOETH BE PERFECT.

That is why GOD has to appoint the Pastors.... God KNOWS who he made a DOER OF THE WORD... EVERY WORD OF GOD IS DONE IN THIS MAN.... And the DOER IN THAT MAN, CAN ONLY BE ONE SPIRIT..... ONE SPIRIT... THE PERFECT SPIRIT.... GOD'S SEED.... THE SPIRIT OF JESUS CHRIST AS MAN.... Christ Jesus, the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD.

My friends, EVERY PERSON THAT LIVES A PERFECT LIFE ON THIS WORLD, IS PERFECT BECAUSE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN HIIM. IT IS THE HOLY SPIRIT, AND ONLY THE HOLY SPIRIT, THAT CAN MAKE ANY FLESH HE MOVES INTO, A DOER OF THE WORD....

WE ALL AGREE ONLY JESUS IS PERFECT, RIGHT? And GOD KNOWS THIS, RIGHT? Then every person that is perfect HAS TO BE JESUS IN THAT PERSON THAT MAKES THE PERSON PERFECT! SO IT IS TAUGHT IN THE BIBLE.... Very easy to prove. The SEED of the BORN OF GOD IS THE HOLY SPIRTI GOD PUTS IN THE FLESH OF THE ONE HE GIVES THE REBIRTH...

LOOK what KEEPS A MAN SINLESS AND PERFECT... THE SEED OF GOD THAT REMAIN IN THE MAN.... THE SEED IS THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD IN A HOLY MAN OF GOD... THAT IS THE REASON THIS VERSE IS SO TRUE....
1 John 3:9.... Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Please note this also..... FROM THE MOMENT GOD IMPLANTS THE HOLY SPIRIT INTO A MAN, THAT MAN IS BORN OF GOD AND CANNOT SIN.... That makes it VERY clear that God first let a sinner repent from ALL sin before God puts HIS HOLY SPIRIT IN A MAN....

You have been LIED to when you were told you have recieved the Holy Spirit when you accepted Jesus into your heart..... NO MAN EVER ACCEPTED JESUS..... HE ACCEPTED YOU... EVEN AS SINNER. BUT HE DOES NOT LET YOU INTO HIM DIRTY.... HE FIRST LET YOU WASH YOURSELF WITH HIS BLOOD..... UNTIL YOU ARE AS PURE AS HE IS.... 1 John 3:3

I cannot show you ANY OTHER GOSPEL, there is no other TRUTH... What I give you here is the ONLY TRUTH... It is the WORD of God that says these things NOT ME,,, GOD...

Try telling that to my wife whose great family members died without ever being sick even at the time of there death. They would call in family members to let them know that Jesus was going to take them home at a certain time and when all were present, their relatives faces would light up and ask if they can see Jesus. Then they would die. Just like that, no pain, and no suffering.
If you people would stop following your natural minds, the way of the world, and the ways of your church, you might actually believe what is written over what the rest of the world is experiencing.
I heard similiar stories of people's faces lighting up upon death.

However it was from a group of Buddhist monks and they spoke of how the person died and disappeared into light. How rainbows were seen around and all that was left of the body was ashes. They also have stories about how monks can walk through walls and become invisible.

some people would be impressed if they witness such actions and "miracles", but personally I remember God's words

about how Satan will come with false signs and wonders.

I remember Jesus words about false workers of miracles and such:

Matthew 7
[h=3][/h][SUP]21 [/SUP]“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. [SUP]22 [/SUP]Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ [SUP]23 [/SUP]And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

............

i think we should more closely examine the book of Job if you are willing.

The difference here is that my wife's family were very devout Christians, and my wife was an eye witness to at least three of these deaths. For where my wife was born, family members died in there own homes. And like my wife and children, they were in constant prayer.

lol I told you I was going to read your other threads :).

Moses died in a similar manner to what you describe: peaceful in health in their sleep.

However there are other people in the Bible who were not blessed to die so peacefully in their sleep. (A few examples are King Saul, Jesus, Samson)

my point was that its not a promise God makes to all His people: a peaceful life and death. Though if He gives you one, you should thank God every day for His protection and providence.
