The fact that a Levitical priesthood is mentioned, of necessity indicates that it is to be interpreted figuratively because the Levitical priesthood has been abolished.

Hear ye, hear ye, HeRose hath found a way to stop the earth from revolving around the sun and hath extiguished it. He hath also found a way to stop the moon from revolving around the earth and hath made away with it...

Jer 33:20 Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;
Jer 33:21 Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.
Jer 33:22 As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.

Pretty strong words there HeRose.

maybe we should read that as an "Ezekielal priesthood" as the instructions are found there rather than in Leviticus -- however it is the Levite tribe specifically spoken of in Ezekiel, not "an holy priesthood drawn from all nations"

which makes me think that this concerns Israel, not the present-day 'church,' symbolic or not.

maybe am wrong.

Maybe you are not, see my previous post.

how about you read it. let's read it together.
don't go anywhere. i'd like your infallible KJV refutation.

Psalm 2
The Triumphant Messiah

(Acts 4:23-31) < oh look - a note that tells you this was fulfilled.

1Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

3Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

5Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

6Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

7I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

8Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

9Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

10Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

......

Well Zone, it can be said that Acts 4:23-31 is a fulfillment of Psalm 2:1-2. But the remainder of Psalm 2 has yet to be fulfilled.

Psalm 2

Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

Psalm 2

1 Why do the heathen rage,
and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder,
and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh:
the Lord shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath,
and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

7 I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me,
Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance,
and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron;
thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings:
be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry,
and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little.

Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

The Sections which I highlighted in Blue; are the sections I know for a fact have not been fulfilled yet. Why? Because the Lord Jesus Christ is still up in Heaven expecting until His enemies be made His footstool (Hebrews 10:13).

The World Gentile powers and Dominion such as the United Nations, World Council of Churches, National Council of Churches, Roman Catholic church, the Illuminati, the International Bankers, Rothschild, Rockefeller, etc. are still in prestige in this world because Satan who is the god of this world (2 Cor. 4:4) is still the prince of the power of the air (Eph. 2:2).

But when Jesus Christ comes back at His Second Coming, He will destroy the world gentile powers and dominion and will set up His Throne for His 1,000 Year Reign on Earth.

And during the 1,000 year Millennial Kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ, Satan will be bound in the bottomless pit.

Acts 4
The Believers' Prayer for Boldness

(Psalm 2:1-12) oh look - a note that tells you this was fulfilled.

23And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them. 24And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:

25Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?

26The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

27For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, 28For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done. 29And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, 30By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. 31And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

Again, only a few verses of Psalm 2 have been fulfilled. But the latter part, the reaminder of Psalm 2 has yet to be fulfilled. It's complete fulfillment will be accomplished when Christ is ruling and reigning from Jerusalem, the city of the Great King for 1,000 years.

is He the king set upon GOD'S holy hill of Zion (IN HEAVEN)?

OR NOT.

just come out with it - you don't believe Christ is king

Zone, the LORD's holy hill of Zion is in Jerusalem. It is physical land.

I do believe Christ is King. He is KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

But Zone, your still trying to spiritualize parts of the Bible which you cannot handle nor comprehend.

6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. - Psalm 2:6 (King James Bible)

Now Zone, question for you, where do you see Heaven in that verse???

The text says: holy hill of
Zion.

Again, of necessity, that has to be interpreted figuratively. Otherwise you are exalting the words of the OT prophets (who only saw in shadows) above the words of the NT prophets (who saw clearly). The OT prophets spoke in the only context they could understand - the Levitical priesthood. But the writer of the book of Hebrews makes it clear that the priesthood has been changed, and the Levitical priesthood is no more. So what the OT prophets interpreted as the Levitical priesthood was actually the Melchizedek priesthood.

So anything that you don't agree with is obviously to be interpreted figuratively. I get it now.

IS HE REIGNING NOW FROM THERE UNTIL HIS ENEMIES ARE MADE HIS FOOTSTOOL?

Ruling in the MIDST of His enemies?

1 Corinthians 15:25
For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet.

or have you sliced and diced that and pasted IT into some other "dispensation"?

there are jews in that lot too.
but guess what? those guys aren't named in scripture.

But when Jesus Christ comes back at His Second Coming, He will destroy the world gentile powers

do some parallel studies.
try not to get your fix from your footnotes.

do the work YOURSELF.

No, it would be anything that disagrees with logic, common sense, and the witness of the spirit and the word. It doesn't seem logical or rational to me to interpret an OT prophecy in a literal sense that clearly contradicts something spoken about that subject in the NT. The OT prophets saw in dark visions; the NT writers saw clearly because they lived with and heard with their own ears the Word, who did not talk in dark sayings to them.

Ezekiel 46:20
He said to me, "This is the place where the priests are to cook the guilt offering and the sin offering and bake the grain offering, to avoid bringing them into the outer court and consecrating the people."

so you'll be slaughtering and eating paschal lambs.

Boil - It was unique to the Paschal lamb, that it was to be eaten roasted. The flesh of the other sacrifices was to be "sodden" or boiled (see Leviticus 6:28; 1 Samuel 2:13; 2 Chronicles 24:14 margin). The "meat-offering" (flour and honey) was baked Leviticus 2:4.

oh?

For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.
(1 Corinthians 13:12)

Just goes to show how much less clearly the OT prophets saw

so that you may be able when you read to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit. Ephesians 3:4-5

Because a Temple will be built during the Millenium and yes, there will be Levitical priests there and they will offer sacrifices just as Ezekiel says they will.

That's correct.

I am starting to study more into the system of Sacrifice that will be implemented during the Millennial Kingdom.

that doesn't in any way refute what Paul said to the Corinthians, nor what John said:

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
(1 John 3:2)

that Christ is revealed now, in part, amen!
i just don't agree that even the apostles believed they "clearly saw" the fullness of every prophecy. remember how often, while Christ was even with them in body, they did not completely understand what He said?

seminary students, on the other hand, are a different story.

The question is this Zone, have the enemies of Jesus Christ been made his footstool yet?

The obvious answer is no. But they will be at the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

There will be a Millennial Reign. And it will take place immediately after the Judgment of the Nations (sheep and goats). See Matthew 25:31-46.

Zone, the King James Bible that I have right now in my hands does not have any footnotes in it. I simply believe what it says.

I must have missed that part about the mountain splitting in two and creating a huge valley. Was it on the six o'clock news?

Not the 6 PM news, but it is here. The "splitting" of the Mt of Olives was caused by a landslide on it, the remnants of which are viewable below. The huge valley thing is a mistranslation.

"Lifted up" is probably a Masoretic Text corruption. The LXX makes much more sense:

And the Lord shall be king over all the land. In that day there shall be one Lord, and his name one compassing all the land and the wilderness from Gabe unto Remmon south of Jerusalem; and Rama shall remain a place from the gate of Benjamin to the place of the first gate, to the gate of the corners, and to the tower of Anameel, as far as the king’s winepresses, Zechariah 14:9-10
