Jesus warns clearly that after the Abomination of Desolation is seen standing in the "Holy Place" that those in Judea are to flee (Mat 24:15). The verses following indicate that there will be no time and to flee immediately!!
Then Jesus tells us in Mat 24:21 that there will be great tribulation (Temptation of Satan) like the world has never seen. Then Christ warns in Mat 24:23-26 emphatically and in several different ways "NOT TO GO FORTH" and "NOT TO BELIEVE" it if someone says that Christ is there. Why should we not go forth? What harm is there in going forth and what exactly does it mean to "go forth or go out?" I will explain...
The Abomination is seen, those in Israel flee then the temptation of Antichrist happens. These events occur in rapid succession. The Abomination is seen and those in Judea are to "Get out of Dodge" immediately then the Great Tribulation occurs which we learn from Rev 3:10 is the temptation or test of Satan as Antichrist that "tests the whole world."
Again, what exactly is the test? It sure seems like it is Satan as antichrist claiming to be Christ. It appears from Rev 12 that first Satan attempts to fool Israel but as we know from Zech 13:8-9, 2/3 of Israel is fooled and will be killed but 1/3 of Israel escapes the "flood of Satanic lies." Satan is enraged that 1/3 of Israel escaped so he goes to make war with the rest of the saints, Rev 12:17.
We learn in Rev 13:7 that Satan was able to make war and overcome the saints. Obviously God must allow this as we learn from Job that Satan cannot harm a Christian without God's permission. So why would God allow it? Could it be that a bunch of Christians went forth after the false christ thinking it was Christ? What would cause good Christians to do that? I can think of only one answer - they thought the real Christ had come to rapture them away.
But it wasn't the real Christ, it was the Antichrist claiming to be Christ and using his lie that most of the Christian world believed - The Rapture. I can think of nothing else that would get Christians to "go out" all over the world then for the "Rapture." This theory makes perfect sense, but is it Biblical???
Isaiah 65:
12 Therefore I will number you for the sword, And you shall all bow down to the slaughter; Because, when I called, you did not answer; When I spoke, you did not hear, But did evil before My eyes, And chose that in which I do not delight."
13 Therefore thus says the Lord God: "Behold, My servants shall eat, But you shall be hungry; Behold, My servants shall drink, But you shall be thirsty; Behold, My servants shall rejoice, But you shall be ashamed;
14 Behold, My servants shall sing for joy of heart, But you shall cry for sorrow of heart, And wail for grief of spirit.
15 You shall leave your name as a curse to My chosen; For the Lord God will slay you, And call His servants by another name;
Bow down to the slaughter??? What is this? What does Satan want to get people to do, especially Christians if he can? Worship him!! Would being deceived by antichrist and bowing down before him based on the promise of a rapture be considered by God as "doing evil before His eyes?"
Now pay close attention to verse 13, clearly there are two groups of Christians being discussed here and the timing is just before the millennial reign which we see introduced right after the above passages. Note the four distinctions made between the two groups. One group eats, drinks, rejoices and sings for joy while the other group is hungry, thirsty, ashamed and crying.
Now turn to Rev 7 and I will prove who the Great Multitude is:
14 ..."These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15 Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them.
16 They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore;
the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat;
17 for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."
Notice the same 4 descriptions Isaiah gives matches the same 4 descriptions John gives. There is no doubt that a massive group of Christians who came out of the Tribulation have been deceived. That is why Jesus and Paul teach the correct order of Jesus' return and why dire warnings are giving about going forth for the false one.
Can anyone else see this or is it just me????
