We are constantly made aware of objections to Christianity (or the 'Christian West) based on the aggressive acts of the Crusades.

Is there no-one who reads their history? I am particularly surprised by the ignorance of politicians and media commentators who readily support and/or apologise such erroneous views.

I wonder when someone in the media will have the bottle to broadcast a balanced view that shows why the Crusades started and how neither Christian nor Islamic apologists have any right to throw stones at each other when it comes to Geneva convention morals.

And this also applies to how the Jews have been and are treated. It is no good trashing the appalling slaughter of Jews during the Crusades without comparing how other non-Christian armies and peoples have subjected them to similar attrocities and victimisation. And it continues to this day with regular calls for the destruction of the Jewish state.
 
When people mention the Crusades to me, I tell them, "I wasn't there."

I think that people will find any reason they can to continue in their sinful lifestyles and not be held accountable to Christ. Yet, one day, we will all be held accountable, and Jesus isn't going to say, "Oh, yeah, the Crusades. I completely understand why you rejected Me based on the actions of others. Come right in."

i'm afraid there is a nearly 0 probability any news station is going to be reporting on the 100's of years old events of the Crusades, bias or no.

which leaves any treatment of the Crusades to the History Channel & it's ilk.

which means that it's more likely that our media outlets are going to teach us that Ancient Aliens started the Crusades.
 
Bad things happened then because people did their own thing. Bad things happen now because people do their own thing. God will sort them out if nothing is done here.
 
Fight for the pope and you'll get "estates in heaven", nuff said.
