You're gonna have to get that chip off your shoulder & understand every statement made in here isn't about you. I mentioned no names....... never said "Op". It was a general statement. So far, though you've done a great job of proving my statement to be true all by yourself.

BTW, don't accuse me of calling you a liar........ I don't bother doing such knowing some people have a way of hanging themselves. ;)

BY all means lets put what PAUL says above what Jesus did, because PAUL is much a better way than JESUS.

By saying this, many of you totally disregard many women in the Bible, and the Bible says his spirit will pour out on ALL FLESH!

Don't look now bubba and bocephus, but the Spirit on all flesh is the anointing of GOD and his word says ON ALL FLESH!

Jesus Christ himself, had many women ministers, disciples and even financiers around him during all his ministry. His own mother was in the upper room.

This would suggest that scripture is culturally and temporally contingent. It Isn't.

You are allowing you own experiences within your culture to determine how you read this book rather than allowing scripture to examine your culture.
Hey, your wife called and wants your permission to use the computer to look up a Bible verse, could you return her call!?!?

Are 1 Cor. 14 and 2 Tim. 2 the exclusive words of Paul or are they the words of the Holy Spirit?

There is not gender discrimination in the word of God! That's not the case. God has appointed males to govern over their household (wife & children) & over God's household, and I surely don't have a problem with God's holy opinions. :)

The only discrimination in the word of God is silly interpretations of man, saying silly things like, oh gee a woman cannot be a pastor. By the grace of God, I'm 4th generation of Baptists. The first music I remember hearing were hymns being sung by my mother & my grandmother over my crib. I grew up playing in Church pews and splashing into the Baptismal pool. I've known life inside the Church.

...and in all my born days I have never sat under the preaching of a woman neither have I exposed myself to women preaching over the radio or TV.

I have participated in a few Women's conferences, plenty Women Prayer meetings and countless Women's Bible Study groups in which we were all sisters participating, yet all along, it's the godly men of valor: the Elders of the Church who have carried the authority & responsibility of teaching the word of God all along.
"For I know Whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I've committed unto Him against that day." :)

Who cares about your denomination....Nobody brought that up, just you!

Inquiring minds want to know:
Do you still ask your husband permission to open his Bible in church?

PAUL WRITES "HIS" CHOICE,"HIS"OPINION HERE!!1 TIMOTHY 2:12-14==And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. [SUP]13 [/SUP]For Adam was formed first, then Eve. [SUP]14 [/SUP]And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression.

NO where in the Bible doe sit say in black and white that a WOMAN cannot be a preacher. A Woman cannot be a Bishop or deacon, but no where doe sit say they cannot preach.

Revelation 1:3-8 (KJV) [SUP]3 [/SUP]Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. [SUP]4 [/SUP]John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; [SUP]5 [/SUP]And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, [SUP]6[/SUP]And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. [SUP]7 [/SUP]Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. [SUP]8 [/SUP]I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

"us" is the church, yes? "hath made" IS past tense, isn't it?

It commands them not to teach and to keep silent. How pray tell does one remain silent while preaching?

Yet Paul's instruction here in 1 Timothy 2 is precluded with this verse in 1 Timothy 1

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope,

As Paul was chosen and ordained an Apostle by Christ himself,
Pauls words and teachings hold the same authority as Jesus Christ himself

IMO shouldn't it be the words of the Holy Spirit given to Paul exclusively to the house-churches of Corinth & the house-churches of Ephesus of whom Timothy was an overseer?
