the big deal over circumcision was that the jews believed one couldn't observe the sabbath unless they were circumcised.
so you sabbath-keepers are presumably circumcised.

and Christ is of no value to you.

You're just full of false characterizations. I love GOD's law. But unlike law cultists, I know how to use the law lawfully.

We know that the law is good if a man uses it lawfully knowing that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, ... and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine. 1 Timothy 1:8-10
Thankyou - time and again you bring much joy.
Matt 5:11-12
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
So what law are you referring to again?

I think that all the posters who oppose following, literally, the law that God commanded us to follow have, by the nature of their own arguments, proven that it is not from God they can say this. Those in favor use scripture, they don't, they throw stones. I am typing some of the stones they throw:
Unable to comprehend
Self-created image
Held in bondage
Idolatry
Human reasoning
The law is not valid (where do you suppose scripture says this!)
They fully set aside God's spiritual law. (Why! would attempting to literally obey set aside the spiritual part?)
So Paul knowing that the Romans did NOT mark the days from sunset to sunset,BUT MIDNIGHT to MIDNIGHT would somehow FAIL to tell the new converts that in order to truly observe the Sabbath would mean A DIFFERENT marking of time for them and yet somehow Paul FAILS to mention that in a SINGLE LETTER to the Gentile churches? Why didn't Paul a PHARISEE mention one word about that cultural DIFFERENCE to a SINGLE Gentile church? If they just hear that it was seventh day rest they would have assumed Paul meant from MIDNIGHT TO MIDNIGHT,not sunset to sunset and yet Paul NOT ONCE says a word about that difference. Why is that?

People intentionally ignore or block out the difference between Gods law (which is spiritual) and a contract. The problem is telling the difference between those who block this out because (like Jehovah’s Witness) they are under a prolonged state of hypnosis resulting from years of repetitive programming and those who are agents (they’re on every discussion board) who are employed to sustain division for control purposes.
The same can probably be said about modern day Christians who go to "main stream" churches.
Spiritual laws - would you elaborate what they are?
The law mentioned in Psalms 1, 19, 119. What law was referred to by the psalmist?

I would like to state something publicly about HeRoseFromTheDead here. Although we disagree and sometimes somewhat heatedly, one cannot doubt HeRose' convictions or his belief. He does have a good understanding of scripture and I am firmly convinced he lives by what he believes. Our doctrinal disagreements aside, I do respect him very highly.

Just wanted to make sure everyone understood that.
Are you saying good understanding of scripture would come up with dramatic different doctrines like yours and his? You are the only one voting "you must keep the Sabbath to be saved" so far and he's strongly against it.
So what are you saying?

what an embarrassment.
and what charges you dare to bring against the early church, and the Lord who bought them.

....

you; ellen white's fanatics; and unbelieving jews will all be saved though.

"Sunday-keeping must be the mark of the beast."
"The reception of his mark must be something that involves the greatest offense that can be committed against God."

- The Marvel of Nations, Elder U. Smith pages 170, 183

"Here we find the mark of the beast. The very act of changing the Sabbath into Sunday, on the part of the Catholic church, without any authority from the Bible."

- Ellen G. White, The Mark of the Beast, page 23

"The Sunday Sabbath is purely a child of the Papacy. It is the mark of the beast."

- Advent Review, Vol. I, No. 2, August, 1850.

"The change of the Sabbath is the sign or mark of the authority of the Romish church."
"The keeping of the counterfeit Sabbath is the reception of the mark."

- Ellen G. White, Great Controversy, Vol. 4, page 281.

"The mark of the beast is Sunday-keeping. A law will enforce this upon Seventh-day Adventists. They won't obey. Then they will be outlawed, persecuted, and condemned to death! Of all the wild Advent speculations in the prophecies, this deserves to stand among the wildest."

- Seventh-day Adventism Renounced" by D.M. Canright, 1914

"Sunday-keeping is an institution of the first beast, and ALL who submit to obey this institution emphatically worship the first beast and receive his mark, 'the mark of the beast.' .... Those who worship the beast and his image by observing the first day are certainly idolaters, as were the worshippers of the golden calf."

- Advent Review Extra, pages 10 and 11, August, 1850
I've never heard of Ellen White. I didn't even say the papacy was the beast. You said it. I get my message from the Gospel of Christ, and no man woman or child need say I am an embarrassment. But for you, name calling and slurs are part and parcel of what you are selling, just I am not buying. Grow up and stop being a child with your insults. Read your Bible and stop reading everything man has said.

half the NT should be about the saturday sabbath.
seems pretty important, being the mark of the beast, and all that.
notice the assaults on the christian faith come in waves?

but were already warned the Hebrew Roots Movement would be the Fourth Wave.

Myth: Christians are antinomians because they don't keep the Sabbath on Saturday and therefore violate Torah.

Myth. We need to keep the Sabbath, as part of the commandments, and to not do so means we are lawless or "anti-nomian".

gathering together on the first day of the week is worshipping the beast?
you better read your bible.
and early church history.

your message of sabbath-keeping is not the Gospel of Christ.

Oh? Never heard of Ellen G. White? Is that like you pretrending just a few days ago that it just suddenly dawned on you that you should keep the sabbath? Yet not many posts later you demonstrated that you are very practiced in discussions advocating keeping of the sabbath.

How obedience to Sabbath affects my walk with Christ is more powerful than anything I can put into words. When you read about things of the Bible it is understanding on a beginning level. When you walk in the way the truth and the life it has power beyond just reading about it and thinking happy thoughts. It is total dependence on God to provide, it is rest to withstand slings and arrows of the enemy. It has power to help the saints endure.

oh i KNOW!
all the sabbath cults report the same thing.
the DAY has all this power.

John 14
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

John 1:17
For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

John 10:9
I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.

It's becoming more and more obvious.

To me it doesn't make sense when Paul even claims that he is the apostle to the gentiles and yet never lays down the ground rules so to speak. And to boot he is a Pharisee and a Roman citizen. Yet somehow he didn't know the difference in the measurement of days of the week for the Romans and the Jews,or that somehow he never takes the time in his letters to spell it out for the gentile believers?

Since you seem to notice so much about me, I will confess, I know some about you. And honestly I owe you a big thank you for shining light on truth to me. It was in a thread about the Sabbath where the Sabbath keepers demonstrated such love and patience, and peace. You posted on that same thread hateful and disrespect for what Christ actually said. It was then I wanted to fully be convinced of what the Word really says. Since I understood, you have said I drink koolaid, and suggest I am a blind person and have attacked me directly. Now I know. There is nothing you can say to me that is of any concern to me, so why do you bother? Who am I that you should care what I believe?. And if you sincerely think that your sharp tongue wins anyone for Christ, you are right, it does. But not in the way you may want. For I want nothing that you have.

Herose, I forgot to mention, thank you for saying I sound practiced in discussion about Sabbath. I have done little else than to study scripture and pray/ to date I have kept only 2 Sabbaths. I have my proof that, that sacred time worshiping God on His Holy Day is a gift to the believer. God has poured out spiritual truth to me thru His Word. Things I didn't understand before was made clear. I finally have peace. You were a big part in my knowing the truth.

It's almost like how I began. My fellow Christians named me much worse. I was challenged day in and day out and finally got invited out of the church. It was hard but then it was sweet.
I thought you kept longer than that.
To date although I love to keep all the more, I still challenge myself examining scripture the opposite side quoted. Trying best to ignore the harsh words directed to me as much as possible though.

Heb. 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his ,any of you should come short of it.(3) for we which have believed do enter into rest. Psalms 95:10,11 Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said,it is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: (11)Unto them did I swear in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest. Heb 4:3) ...although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.(4) For he spoke in a certain place like this and God did rest the seventh day from all his works.(5) again in another place, (David speaking,) If they shall enter into my rest(6) Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief (7) God saeth again in David, today after so long a time; as it is said, today if you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.(8) For if Joshua had given them rest , then he would he not have afterward spoken of another day(9) There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. (10) For he that has entered into his rest, he also has ceased from his own works, as God did from his.(11) Let us therefore labor to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. Your staining at a gnat and swallowing a camel! The sabot h under the law was a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ ,A shadow of things to come. The first church not only met on Saturday and Sunday but they were together and in one accord having all thing common ,daily they were resting in God ,and rejoicing in it.The scripture says only, forsake not the assembling of yourselves, not what day If one sets aside a day let him do it with faith, But don't think that its the sabath its just another day . Our saboth is every day ,in Jesus, We cease from our own works ,and rest in God, we sit in heavenly places in Christ,we are seated resting in him.Only after being seated with him can we begin to walk with him, allowing Jesus to work and walk within us. Other wise we are still in sin, there is nothing good in our own works ,whether we put a Christian name on them or not.We just become guilty of taking his name in vain, empty calling ourselves by his name . God bless
