Well, if women think the men should be doing the pursuing then yes clearly women would have to do friend zoning more.

pffff XD i love this thread. It's true though. Guys are just as guilty for friendzoning as we are. Sorry, but I'm not going to date a guy I'm not even interested in. If a guy really respected the woman, they would respect their decision to keep it as just friends and move on. It's not right to force a girl into liking you. Dream on, guys.
Yep, I agree with all of that. I don't get this whole "Well you don't like me or you don't do things the way I like them so therefore you are in the wrong and should change yourself" mentality that's behind all the complaining.

I would say its not possible to force someone to like you and girls have to deal with this just as much as guys, frankly I don't know why someone would want to be with another who only ever saw them as a friend. Yeh, sometimes it really sucks, you like someone and they just don't feel the same but we need to just get on with life and i am certain that special someone will appear when the time is right.

I think what friendzoned guys/girls are always going on about is why it keeps happening to them. I don't think they want someone who isn't interested in them to date them, but rather they just want someone to be interested in them. I posted my thoughts about the reasons why on another thread but in summary nobody will be interested in you if you aren't interested in yourself.

We women must immediately take complete responsibility for every broken male heart/ego, as well as every ill in the world today.
From what I can tell, this entire post only applies to American, Canadian, British and Australian women and to that extent it's well thought out. Thanks Julianna!

I would agree with that but also point out we will find that special someone in Gods timing and not ours so we can't be surprised about the friend zone really. I am content that God knows what is best for me, it doesn't mean I am not disappointed when someone I likes doesn't feel the same but I know my God will take care of me.

A friend zone is a silly term for a point in a friendship where one person realizes that their crush will never have romantic feelings for them and will only always ever think of them as just a friend. ie: "I've just been friendzoned"

A lot of people misuse the term as if it's something they are victim of. But usually it's not that personal.

Think we are already there considering the fairly attacking friendzone thread.
I view that as a troll thread. That guy is a troll and people just keep feeding him. So i am done with him and any threads he creates in the future. So i have not been in that thread. Or maybe once, so i don't know whats going on in there.

You have a point...lol.

But I think it's safe to say we all know Jullianna isn't being serious here. She's just trying to make a point about all the annoying gender dividing threads lately.
I get her point. That is why i said what i said to her.

This is when Person A has an interest in Person B and attempts to pursue them, often in a less direct manner. And Person B only views their pursuer as a friend, and not a romantic interest. Typically once you are put in the 'friendzone' you rarely get a chance to come out of that and have a romantic relationship.

We don't know God's plan so that shouldn't give us reason to avoid taking action because for all we know our taking action is part of the plan. If one day you wake up in the morning with a swore back it's probably not a big deal, but if you start waking up with a swore back everyday you might suspect there is something wrong with your mattress. In the same way, if a guy likes a girl and she doesn't return the feelings, that by itself isn't a big deal, and you can see this with guys that go after a number of women and get various amounts of success, these aren't the guys complaining about being friendzoned. It's when a guy finds himself in a dead end every single time that we should suspect he might be navigating incorrectly, in which case it would be beneficial for him to reconsider his methods.

You sir, are a gentleman and a scholar.

Sometimes, we need to look within to find out what it is we're doing wrong. It may be our approach, it may be our attitude, or it may be a combination of these two things.

Thanks for helping me out... A few years ago I learned what a Player was first hand and it wasn't very much fun. So asking about dating terminology works much better for me... Thanks again

Read Ephesians 4 and Titus 2 for Godly example of men and women, but, no, women are not alone in friendzoning, it goes both ways.

I think, someone who friendzones another, guy or gal initiating, is just trying to follow the Lord the best they know how and if they feel like that person is going to be benign in a relationship to helping them progress into the Godly man or women God intends, then, that's the will of God and it's best that the two quit being boyfriend-girlfriend friends, if they ever were, and, just be friends.

Hey, we who are His, we want Him to lead our lives, right ? :)

The Lord leads.

The best news we can have, and, I'll call it 'perfect,' is that Christ said in the gospel books, speaking to The Twelve (disciples) that 'I no longer call you disciples, I call you friends.'

This was Jesus' way of explaining that the relationship with The Twelve had deepened through their having listened to Him explain things of His order on Earth and how all His order came down from His Father's authority in heaven :)

It's really just a "nicer" way of rejecting somebody based on the latest so called enlightened thinking called political correctness.

I had never heard of it and tried to understand it till I read of it here.

The fundamental reason hasn't changed just the method.
