Indeed. It will always be an error to "structure" a concept of God into our space and time to accommodate the World's mind-set. Our arrogance blinds us to not comply with God's decisions.

The Holy Bible has given us reasonable instructions for us to obey. God is holy Sovereign over all the Earth; therefore, God deserves our obedience in all that we say, see, think, do. The Lord is good.

Yes I believe in Jesus and Yes if I lived back in that Time I would follow the instructions that Paul wrote to the church in Corinth. Times have changed and I live in 2013 and women preach and teach now in church. Paul also wrote that he would change his methods of reaching people so that all would come to the knowledge of Christ. I stand by my Time and Place response. Times change and I am of the same mind as Paul to do what ever it takes to spread the gospel so if that means I speak I will. ...which reminds me about prayer. While women are instructed to remain silent in the congregation, women can do much "talking" through praying for the brethren.

It's becoming of godly women to pray for our Elders, Ministers and for the overall sanctification of all males in the household of God, for they are our protectors, our providers, our leaders, our governors, our teachers, our fathers, our husbands, our brothers, our sons. ...and there's lots of distraction out there... a life of prayer is a blessed life.

You are correct - God does not change - Paul wrote 2 letters of instructions for the church at Corinth. God wrote the 10 commandments with His finger on stone. While Paul's letters were to a church of that TIME. God's commandments stand to the end of time. They have not changed although men have tried to do so. So we agree for the most part. It is o.k. for me to speak and teach in church. But not if I lived back then in that TIME... God bless can we be friends? Sending a request.

Paul's letters were not only to the church of Corinth at that time, they were also to "all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord".

1Cor 1:1-2 Paul, called to be an apostle of JesusChrist through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

If all Scripture is given by inspiration of God then Paul was just a messenger delivering a message to all that call upon the name of Jesus Christ. Wouldn't that include all believers in all places at all times?

You are correct. The Bible is not just a collection of soteriology, eschatology, theology, and epistemology. It is not just a set of narratives and history. The Bible is a representational document that represents the mind of God. In 1Cor 14, God has revealed his mind to us concerning the roles of men and women in the assembly. He has established rules and restrictions in the Church for both men and women. 1Cor 14 just happens to deal with prohibitions he has place upon women in the assembly.

How does a guy that says he is not married have the authority to speak about women in general? Notice it says husband, if you are not married, you disqualify yourself against the very rule in the Bible you so ardently attempt to defend.

Even if you are widower, you state you are not married on your bio, so at least in my opinion, you are not a current husband, and you have no grounds to be stating anything on this topic, because you violate it outright.

As a "man of God" not married, you should come clean and admit you are not married, and therefore have zero authority to tell a woman anything, except your own wife. That is what 1 Cor 14 says right?

I thought I was quite clear on this matter in the other thread. This is not something I am either defending nor condemning. It is simply something we do not practice I think in the way you mean. In any case, this would be something that women could not do in the assembly based of the prohibition given. I did not write the prohibition. I simply have to accept it.
