Considering you've only been active for a week, reality is that you barely know anyone here. It's easy to go off and get upset and fly off the handle when you don't have a frame of context.

At this particular moment, your only frame of context is that EVERYONE ELSE is NOT going off, getting upset, or flying off the handle (for the most part), which is why you are confused. You feel that you should feel a certain way, but notice that no one else feels the way you do, and therefore, you likely are questioning your feelings on the subject.

And you are right to do so. Not because your feelings on the subject are necessarily wrong, but because you didn't know the context of the original post, having been gone for a few days. So let me put it into context for you.

1. The regulars in Singles Forum can have a slightly twisted sense of humor. We are ESPECIALLY prone to heavy bouts of sardonism, and sometimes even sarcasm. (I'm very guilty of this.)

2. The original poster, Jullianna (always remember - TWO Ls), is one of our long-standing "elders," so to speak, not in reference to her age, but in reference to her role in Singles. She's usually one of the first to utter a wise word, and is rarely ever malicious or accusatory. (No one is ever perfect, and I've not even been here a year, so I shall make no assumptions.) Her character is rarely questioned by any of the veterans in Singles.

3. Jullianna has the aforementioned twisted sense of humor that occasionally results in sarcasm.

4. There have been a number of threads over the past few days that have only served to fully lay the blame for men's loneliness at the feet of women. If men are lonely, it is VERY clearly women's fault. In no possible way could the man ever be at fault for his situation.

Now that you have full context of the original post, does that clarify the intentions of the thread for you?
 
I have a weird suspicion that Ugly is off somewhere photo shopping a beard to my picture......

I may be prejudiced in favor of Georgia though. I have family there, and it's in the bible belt. Man I love the bible belt!
