Sometimes people use foul language in the chatrooms. When there's no mod present there's not much you can do about it. In the christian IRC chatroom I used to visit there was a always a bot in place that would kick swearing people. Maybe it's a good idea to introduce a similar bot here. Ofcourse it would only be able to 'react' to typed text. I have no idea if a bot like that could be developed for the Flash based CC chatrooms.

I nominate you to control the bot, as long as you refrain from using any forceful tactics on me.

how about mod police? for a mod that is trigger happy, when people don't agree with them. i've seen a certain mod kick ban at least 3 people, i didn't see nothing that was being said by the people grounds for a ban. Then i seen the same mod, encouraging adultry, say using those boards uiji, i don't know how to spell it, but say that it wasn't a sin to use them, if that wasn't bad enough i also seen him say one day, lets see how many times we can find boobies in the word, talking about breasts. i havn't brought this up with any body before, it was just on my heart to do so this morning. i'm not giving names just hopefully the person will see this, and repent, and be careful because you are always being watched if not by man by the Almighty.

to make the record clear it wasn't a red coat, just one that has the trigger, you can tell who they are when they come in, in, out, in.

First, just because you don't see someone do wrong doesn't mean it wasn't done. It was probably PMs the offensive behavior was taking place
Second, this section isn't for calling people out
Third, do you really believe the correct way to handle the problem is to make a public post, instead of going to the site owner privately?

i don't think i'm the only one that witnessed it, so i thought this would bring forth more witnesses. i've heard that excuse before, that i don't know what was going on in the pm, not buying it.

Brother_Don, modding this site is a very difficult thing.
I pray that you'd at least understand that and give us the benefit of the doubt, instead of possibly assuming the worst based on what you see. There is often stuff you do not see.

Because we don't have the time, and energy to answer certain insinuations, then the avalanche of reactions, and other insinuations that come from the initial insinuation, I'm simply going to close this thread.

Again, I would ask folks to give admins/mods the benefit of the doubt on things, given the difficulty of the task at hand.
It's not easy dealing with so many diverse people with diverse perceptions, diverse personalities, etc etc.
We volunteer our limited time, limited emotions, so folks have a safe place to chat, forum, etc.

When you see something you may not understand done by us, please don't just assume it's some nefarious action from a nefarious moderator/admin. Yes, some decisions may come across that way. No we're not perfect. But we are trying our hardest.

In light of the fact that we're serving, volunteering, have limited time, limited emotional resources, etc., it's appreciated if you exercise the benefit of the doubt toward us, instead of the "benefit" of suspicion and assumption of bad motives. Most get the leisure of simply logging on, participating, and sitting back and critiquing every decision. Those of us who admin/mod have a more complex task. You don't have to kiss up to us, simply give us the benefit of the doubt. Thanks.
