I think when I was manufactured it was a Fri and the factory workers were drunk and left out parts. and really messed up the computer.
 
As the book of Ecclesiastes says, "there is nothing new under the sun". There is never going to be anything new since there are people who may not have seen the topic or are new. And here's a thought on "Zombie threads, repeat topics, trolls, arguing." Don't read them!! haha! simple as that. over and done. no need to start a thread like this to add to already rampant negativity. Grow up.

What's going on? Mostly I just lurk. I read the singles forum when I log in here, lately that's been less, maybe it's because of trolls, but it's also because of all the inane banter. I guess the people engaging in it are having fun with their music links and joke responses. Not that I'm really above the jokes, I thought of a couple right away "Are you with me? : OK. I'll go out with you" and "You're wrong, what was it you were saying? NM, You're wrong anyway, everyone from California is always wrong". As far as discussing valid relationship issues, I don't like talking about myself because it's mostly negative, who wants some stranger judging them in a public forum? And let's face it, you don't end up middle aged and single if you are good at relationships.

Actually Braveheartgal's got a point if everyone would ignore the ignorant/controversial/repeated topics, (instead of dragging it out arguing with a someone coming to troll anyways) there would be no problems concerning the loyal site users.

Again, the content of her post wasn't the issue, it was her attitude. Also, there would still be problems but less of them. It's not as easy to recognise every troll as you might think.

I see, I guess she wouldn't be a good customer service rep, telling a complaining customer to grow up and all, and perhaps visit another store and they wouldn't have that problem... Ah but, it's true, too many threads just don't need to be, it causes excess work for the mods, as well as a bad impression on guests and new users.
 
Hello Prause, There's a difference between correction and what you are stating. And starting a thread like this is very divisive and immature. Also, I am not ''hanging out" in any one forum. If I see a post that peeks my attention, I will comment on it if necessary. I have posted devotionals that I have written here as well as encouraging words to other singles. As a former single myself once I feel that they need to hear encouragement, and yes, at times, correction from an older brother or sister in the Lord who has been there. I had an older sister correct me so many times, and yes it stung, but I became a stronger believer for it and a better person. Hope you can understand. :)

But also before you correct people, you need to ensure that you've proven yourself and are a respectable person in the eyes of who you're speaking to to correct someone. Just popping in every so often to correct people is not going to go over well. Or making yourself the police going around correcting people without joining in with the group in other ways can set you away from people. Using wisdom is part of knowing when to correct and when not to.
 
Tintin, I don't need to know her to recognize or read or see division, elitism, the "my club attitude", or when people get together to do the very thing they complain about others doing which is, complain, add one more negative thread, and cause dissention and high school behavior when they say, "are you with me?" We are supposed to be an example.

Maranatha, this is not "the world", this is a Christian fellowship site, not a customer service site, and as far as "excess work for the mods", this thread is adding to them as well!

When I am wrong about something, I have no problem whatsoever receiving correction as I have over the years been corrected myself by my best friend and older sister in Christ who loved me enough to tell me the truth. I learned to receive correction.

And don't comment on any and all posts I see, but this one required some intervention. It's been said, and I will read the further posts but not keep replying to them after this one so that we can nip this in the bud...

Brave, you haven't "corrected" me. You were critical, judgmental, and brought division. You stepped in on a matter you know little about, and you didn't even bother to follow the guidelines from the book of Matthew! If you had been one of the other ladies who frequent this forum that actually have a friendship with me, then I would have considered the correction. What you've done is immature and passive aggressive. Maybe next time you think you need to "correct" someone, send them a PM first.

I did have a point, and I didn't feel like I was judgmental, or critital but merely stating a truth. I will send you a pm. I appreciate your feedback. Everyone looks at things differently, and you are certainly entitled to your point of view. I respect that. but what I said had truth and validity. I did not cause division, just the opposite. I'm not sure what you mean about "you know little about". that's untrue as well. and as a matter of fact starting a thread where you want everyone to join in to bad mouth things or bully others and be as I said, elitist, ''my club"mentality, that's immature. as I said, I can take correction for sure even if you cannot. :) I will carefully consider what you've said.
