Dude ... YES. Here is wisdom!

The modern culture of women (and this has seeped into the mind of Christian women) has deemed that all men want is sex, and so they focus on men as sex-wanters; and so they accommodate to that false view by focusing on the outside (of men and themselves) and forgetting how to be beautiful in character.

Thanks FireWire!
Which reminds me. There's a lot of talk about personality and nothing about Godly character usually. It's fine to have a great personality but it also possible to have no character at the same time.

That's what people should be looking for.

"Oh but he/she has a great personality. So what, they don't have character to make an eventual marriage last the distance. However, spirituality supersedes character.

Well I said this because at work a young lady started talking to me with absolutely no signals from me. She looks at me a lot too and I caught her staring one time when I was playing candy crush. The first time I talked to her she had the deep look in her eyes like looking into my soul.

Now last week she was talking to somebody in the kitchen (the only place she talks to me coz we don't work together) about Christmas presents and I'm sure said I'm going to get my boyfriend a shirt.

I was disgusted. If she ever expected me to ask her out it's not a done deal done dealio. She isn't likely to be a Christian anyway but I could be wrong.

That's why I mentioned deceitful body language.

This makes sense... Yeah when I said that I wasn't thinking in this way.
I misread your point, all too often this stuff happens...

Maybe I'm not like many girls but I want you to know we aren't all like this.
Again though I am not of an age to date nor am I spiritually ready, I need to build my relationship in Christ more. It's partially my age, also partially growing up with nonbelievers.

Also the dealio thing wasn't meant to be disrespectful... Sorry if it came across that way

Thanks for taking the time to offer me perspective
God bless and much love,

No worries, I wasn't offended.

It reminded of the snippet they have on the Christian radio station every morning. There's a website they look at which has deals for all sorts of stuff. So every morning they say done deal, done dealio!! and choose deals they think are good lol. They sound crazy but it's funny.

I would hope not all women are like that but it's happened a few times before so I recognize it instantly. I don't really get what the point is. I don't believe I was misinterpreting anything.

Sorry I can't offer advice on dating coz I've been on very few.

Guys send mixed messages, too. Either that or I just read them wrong, which is actually probably the case. It was at least once.
Thats why ya gotta feed us
Thats why we ask ya out to dinner
Thats why we ask ya to make us a sammich

Cuz like a puppy we get our signals all messed up and send mixed signals unless our bellies full :/

I never dated, so I'm a complete n00b aside from what I hear from other people's experiences.

I wouldn't make the first move. I'm not gonna chase him around. If he wants to talk to me or go out with me, he'll figure out how to make that happen. If he doesn't i wouldn't want to date him anyways. I don't do the whole ''oh i'm to much of a chicken to talk to or ask a girl out'' I prefer guys who are assertive.

Yet another thread on this?

Perhaps it's because guys aren't making the first move these days in greater numbers than before. In my opinion guys aren't even approaching women that much these days anyway to get to the point of making the "first move".

My view is because women these days simply aren't attractive enough. They're just as aggressive/boorish/lacking in charm as men are.

If you want guys to be motivated to make the first move then be a bit more approachable and nicer and kinder. You're not going to attract a guy by being a guy.

Kapish?
This is my answer.

That was my answer :p

I've seen a lot of guys with Asian women and I can say in the church as well. Why? Because Asian women are so much more feminine, sweeter and warmer than western woman currently are or ever will be in the foreseeable future.

Therefore I stand by my answer.

Dear nodmyheadlikeyeah,

That's all very well but assertive has to do with power struggles (note aggressive, submissive on either side). Who would want a relationship like that?

So observing the obvious makes me racist? May as well says those guys are racist as well because they never married a western woman. Well done.

You see? It's the opposite of the past isn't it? Most guys wouldn't even think about marrying an Asian woman a few years ago. The asian people are now a part of our society. New Zealand society has grown up and moved on since then.

I don't see where I've been sexist? You're going to have to explain that.

I noted in the family forum the other day that you approve of the fact that God does approve of some aspects of feminism. It is now all out rebellion against men. I don't see God approving of that any time soon.

I think we have passed the conversation part of our relationship and moved on to "pearls before swine." I wish you well, my brother.

Oh have we?

More like nothing further to say. You can't explain how I was sexist?

Assertiveness is a way of dealing with aggressive people. Is nodmyheadlikeyeah implying that women are aggressive and therefore perhaps difficult to approach?

See previous posts.

and...where are these pearls you speak of?
