The law came through Moses. Moses was a Levitical priest. Therefore, the law came through the Levitical priesthood.
Exo 24:12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.

Lev 26:46 These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.

Num 31:21 And Eleazar the priest said unto the men of war which went to the battle, This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD commanded Moses;

Deu 4:44 And this is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel:

Jos 22:5 But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Moses was in the business of transcribing God's dictation. Moses was in the business of hearing God because the people feared God when they heard Him speak and asked of God that only Moses hear His voice. Moses did not speak his own words. Jesus did not speak His own words.

Exo 19:5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
Exo 19:6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
Exo 19:7 And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him.

Psa 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Psa 119:57 CHETH. Thou art my portion, O LORD: I have said that I would keep thy words.

Isa 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

Isa 59:20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression (rebellion/disobedience) in Jacob, saith the LORD.
Isa 59:21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.

To carry this thought even further, since Jesus Christ was the LORD who gave the Law, if He is omniscient, why did He give the Law, knowing He was going to replace it with something else?
  • To prove that no man was just
  • To lock man under the law so that he would realize faith is the only escape
  • To establish a legal framework for the atonement
  • To have a people prepared for his appearance

I'm sure there are other reasons that I don't see at the moment, but those are sufficient. Your reasoning ignores the spiritual principal of first the natural, then the spiritual. GOD worked in shadows and types first, that all pointed to the reality that was to come later. It's just he way that GOD has always worked. Shadows and types are meant to disappear, while the reality they point to remains.

How to keep the Sabbath? Read all God's words and listen to the Spirit within you to guide your ways. The fear of the Lord is beginning of wisdom. Remember the Sabbath, it is a Holy Day unto the Lord, both Father and Son, and it is to be treated with respect.

Then be prepared for Satan to curse you!

Very good point. God doesn't change , and Jesus is the same yesterday, today, ad forever. I couldn't serve a God that changed His mind, and what He has established. I would be skeptical of the future, and it would annihilate my hope.
If you law folks insist that GOD doesn't change, how come you say that GOD changed the ceremonial law?

Satan has been around a long long time. He wants you to question God. Did God really say......??

Remember the Sabbath. It is the only commandment He started with the word "Remember" and that is the one that is so hated by satan and His worshipers.

It is a blessing and a joy to be attacked from simply following God and living and worship as He commands. It shows your heart just how important it is, for satan do not care about things that are not in line with following God, only the things that are in line with God. That is what draws fire! I rebuke satan in the name of the Lord my salvation! I will follow God.

One thing that all cults have in common is a persecution complex.

Believing the Bible is a cult?

The apostle Paul, who wrote pages of counsel about lesser issues of Jewish and Gentile conflicts, had not one word to say about any controversy over the day of worship.

From the Convert’s Catechism of Catholic Doctrine by Reverend Peter Giermann. “Question: Which is the Sabbath day? Answer: Saturday is the Sabbath day. Question: Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday? Answer: We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church in the Council of Laodicea transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday.”

Beware, Satan is hard at work because he knows his time is limited.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.
Listen to God and not man, fear Him and keep His Commandments, and praise Him for salvation in Jesus who taught this:[SUP]15 [/SUP]“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. Keep in mind, Jesus Himself wrote the commandments.
[h=2]And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.[/h]

Oh my! This sounds so like the veiled condemnations and fear-mongering that cults use to control their minions.

Who can judge but God? Does that mean your post is judging? Who is judging?

Seems appropriate

So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. Isaiah 59:19

Those who proclaim we must keep the Sabbath according to their standards. BTW, we are to judge righteously. God is the ultimate Judge who judges the hearts of men and it is HE who will determine where one spends eternality, and degree of rewards and punishment.

Whose standards? God wrote the Bible, not me, not you. God's standards will judge, until that time we discuss.

Which saves, The Sabbath rest one day a week or Christ?
What does Satan hate the most? "the resurrection"

Romans 7:4 Your “husband,” your master, used to be the Jewish law; but you “died,” as it were, with Christ on the cross; and since you are “dead,” you are no longer “married to the law,” and it has no more control over you. Then you came back to life again when Christ did and are a new person. And now you are “married,” so to speak, to the one who rose from the dead, so that you can produce good fruit, that is, good deeds for God.

Excellent human reasoning, but absolutely WRONG...

Neh 9:13 "You came down also on Mount Sinai, And spoke with them from heaven, And gave them just ordinances and true laws, Good statutes and commandments.

Lev 18:5 You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, which if a man does, he shall live by them: I am the LORD.

Psa 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple;
Psa 19:8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes;
Psa 19:9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
Psa 19:10 More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Psa 19:11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward.
Psa 19:12 Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults.
Psa 19:13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, And I shall be innocent of great transgression.

Rom 10:5 For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, "THE MAN WHO DOES THOSE THINGS SHALL LIVE BY THEM."

Paul reinforced the Commandments...

Eph 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
Eph 6:2 "HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER," which is the first commandment with promise:
Eph 6:3 "THAT IT MAY BE WELL WITH YOU AND YOU MAY LIVE LONG ON THE EARTH."
Eph 6:4 And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.

God's love is expressed in His Law...

1Jn 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.
1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

Rom 13:8 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.
Rom 13:9 For the commandments, "YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY," "YOU SHALL NOT MURDER," "YOU SHALL NOT STEAL," "YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS," "YOU SHALL NOT COVET," and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF."

There is one great Law:

Love.

It has two parts:

1) Love God.
2) Love your neighbor.

Love God has four parts:

1) Have no other Gods before God.
2) Do not make idols to bow down to.
3) Do not take God's name in vain.
4) Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.

Love your neighbor has six parts:

5) Honor your mother and father.
6) Do not murder.
7) Do not commit adultery.
8) Do not steal.
9) Do not lie.
10) Do not covet.

These ten are further broken down in to statutes and judgments that show the practical applications.

Again, by example, Paul reinforces this...

Eph 6:4 And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.
Eph 6:5 Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ;
Eph 6:6 not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,
Eph 6:7 with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men,
Eph 6:8 knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.
Eph 6:9 And you, masters, do the same things to them, giving up threatening, knowing that your own Master also is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him.

He goes on to show more applications of the fifth Commandment.

I do not believe for one minute that God has to have a version 2.0 because He made a mistake with the first roll-out. His Laws have been, are and always will be exactly what David said they are...

Psa 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple;

Psa 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple;
It's obvious from this and other statements you've made that you do not understand the gospel and cross of Christ. The law is powerless to help us. It has no power to convert (transform) a soul (as the above scripture suggests). The word convert above means to turn back, not transform. The law's purpose is educational, not transformational. Only the spirit can transform a person into GOD's image.
