Merry Christmas!
...had to get that out of the way.

So, tell us three (3, for those of you who can't read...wait...nevermind) things about your Christmas Eve or Christmas Day (when we um, get to that...). It can be where you went, who you were with, what you ate, about church, whatever. I'm just curious what normal people do to celebrate Christmas.

Me...I um...

1. I got a couple of yard gnomes from my mother-in-law.
2. I may or may not be in the process of consuming too much chocolate.
3. I'm about to read my kids the story of Jesus' birth...for the third time this evening.

Feel free to post as much as you want...or don't post at all...I don't care, I'm gonna go eat a sugar cookie :D

1. I helped lead praise and worship for a Christmas program
2. Then I went to my home church's Christmas Eve service.
3. Then I just stay home and chill this year. Nothing special.

I'm hardly a "normal" person, but this is how my day went.

I got up and wrapped presents that I should have done the night before.

Then picked up the kids from their mother's - I sent them to their room while I finished up wrapping stuff.

I had round four of "Steve vs. the Christmas Tree." I finally won - the lights are staying lit now.

The kids put ornaments on the tree...if this were a normal year, this would have been done weeks ago, but with playing Nutcracker and work and being sick...

Dad and his wife visited...among other gifts, we got a $100 dollar bill. I usually buy ducks and mosquito nets for African families (through a Christian charity) in their name as a gift. I haven't done that yet.

My friend and I have been awaiting $$ from the Nutcracker gig (she played in the orchestra as well). We were hoping to get paid in time to do some Christmas shopping, but, no dice. I lent her some $$ since I know she's gonna get paid soon for the gig and can pay me back. According to her, I "saved" Christmas. **sigh** She has no idea of the true meaning of it yet.

Just made a great, but not too fancy meal - tri tip, mashed potatoes, garlic green beans - - oh, and I have had mulled cider going in the crock pot all day.

Am off to play my new gig at a Lutheran service.

If i can find something open, I plan to get some mint chocolate chip ice cream on the way back.

1. My family all came over yesterday for food, ice skating and gift sharing.
2. We went to the candlelight Christmas Eve service tonight, sang and took communion.
3. The girls and I went to IHOP for a pre-Christmas meal together afterward.

Good times... :)

Went to a family gathering.
We had Xmas lasagna.. o.0
Opened gifts.
I spent most of the gift opening time on my phone.

Then we're getting together again tomorrow. Why? I don't know.
And then more family comes into town Friday, so we'll all be getting together again then. I'm not sure about the other family out of town and if/when they are coming... this is too much.

1. I got to snuggle with my 9-week-old nephew while his momma made casseroles and cookies. Yep, we are southern.
2. I went with 10 of my family and friends to deliver cookies and sing Christmas carols to the elderly people in the church here in East Texas.
3. We ate waaaayyyy to much dinner with some friends and told corny jokes late into the evening.

1. I worked a half day today (Christmas Eve)
2. I went to lunch with my mom and we went to my Tia Bev's house afterwards to hang out for a bit
3. I went to our Candlelight Communion Service and then we braved Wal-Mart, which was closing in 10 minutes...repeated often over the loudspeaker :)

Tomorrow I will be visiting my grandparents and then driving for an hour to see my brother before he and his family head to California for a 2 week fun vacation. :)

1. I worked half a day
2. Made a massive banana pudding.
3. Had a family get together. . Where I received fuzzy socks, a Christmas stocking full of slim Jims and Ferrero Roche candies, a cool cupcake stand a $25 Walmart gift card and for some odd reason a Sy Robertson tea glass in pink of course.

Lol we are all weird but we have fun.

1. I spent most of the last three days making my house presentable, as my parents drove in, and my younger brother flew in, to stay until Saturday.

2. I bought all the stuff I needed to make a solid Christmas dinner for four (or more): a ham, a turkey breast, cauliflower (for mashed cauliflower), potatoes/carrots/onions for roasting, stuffing, cranberry saws, stuff for baking bread, and a pie. I also bought fixings for three days worth of breakfasts. Fridge and freezer PACKED. When my parents showed up today, my mother hauled in two coolers full of stuff to feed everyone for the next three days. "Why didn't you tell me you were going to bring the food?!" "Why didn't YOU tell ME you were going to buy the food?"

3. She did bring moo poh loh, though. Rice went into the rice cooker before we went to the airport, and we weren't in the house for five minutes before we were heating the stuff up.

Did you know that if you run the self-cleaning cycle on a self-cleaning oven, it makes your house smell like smoked death? And also, it takes about a million years.

Christmas Eve, we went to my Brother's and Sister In laws house. Ate dinner opened a few presents. Then the kids and I headed over to my Mother in laws, met my Husband there, he had to work all day. Ate more dinner and opened some more presents. My Sister in laws and Mother in law bought me a Pandora bracelet. I was very surprised.

Today, Christmas Day got up early, kids opened gifts. I'm going to make potatoes and go to my Sister's later.

I ain't doing anything, just another day.

I think the cool kids are going to be flooding chat.

Went to a neighbors house for a Christmas party last night. Ended up staying the night. Came home at 8:30 this morning.

There was a bible discussion about women of the bible and I mentioned Rahab. That was cool. The games I played with those my age were fun but kinda crude at times.

Fell asleep to My Little Pony on Neflix. Specifically, Winter Wrap Up. It was good stuff.

Going to finish getting the house ready today. Listen to some sermons, see where the day takes me.

Oh did you, now?

...

Why yes, yes I did.

So far, Applejack is my favorite.

Apple bloom is a close second. We'll see where the cutie mark crusaders thing goes. Don't spoil it for me!

Opened presents this morning with my fiance and getting ready to do the obligatory visit with the future in-laws, then off to see my folks.

My dog enjoys Christmas morning
