I'm sorry if I was not clear. I have no position on whether or not a physical rams horn should or should not be blown in a Christian church service.
As you said earlier, Biblically, it was a call to war for Israel. It represents a call to worship, or spiritual war for us.
Besides, people didn't like it when we used the foghorn.
I prayed and i am picking up quickly , i am using it in my street ministry to csll to repentance the people and it us fun learning and doing but doctrine i am strict on holiness is our goal tjrough God's spirit in Christ
I go on youtube and watch the videos of people showing how to make each sound it has helped me.
Well now this sort of response is really immature but I would only say that to point out we are not to grieve one another on preferences but let's look at Paul's letters and judge for yourself whether you are right in the bullying type did God a point you the head pontiff or some sort of authority ? But let us be loving to one another if a brother wishes to participate in the festivals or blowing a shofar let him but if they believe its needed for salvation or a must regulation then it is wrong and there is nothing wrong with that brother/sister to be openly rebuked , we are one body one mind one spirit in Christ the lord Jesus .
Our goal I believe is to live holy in the spirit to love one another like Christ loved us Lt love run abound and fill our hearts that we worship as one body to the Glory of God the Father in Jesus our Lord and saviour

The other thing to remember is that shofars stink. BAD. So as you blow it, and you smell the stink, don't get down on yourself, because it's not you. You can run water with a cleanser of some sort, but I can't remember what it is right now.
I'm glad you're enjoying it. As you blow it, don't just hear the sound, but see if God is telling you anything through it.

Trumpets/ram's horns were blown for the solemn assembly (anytime the nation was called together whether it be for business, worship, or war).
In the New Testament, no such thing was practiced at all. Never. The only trumpets in the NT are the ones in Revelation by the angels.
Apostol2013, the addition of shofars to christian worship was started by messianic jews, then infiltrated the charismatic movement, then the Pentecostal church, & finally some mainstream denominations. It is not biblical nor required. Sorry, bro, but that's the truth.
Actually, adding such traditions are dangerous, for it opens the church up to all sorts of non-essential replacements for true worship. I myself am a Pentecostal preacher & I absolutely don't believe in it.

What a blessing you all are, what a relief! With so many saying you can have nothing to do with anything our Father, our God, said without His Son repeating it, to have you say we are free to just have all scripture, all worship, and Christ wasn't against His Father. What a blessing.
To me, hearing the call of the shofar is like a call to freedom that Christ told us of. Seems as if the main teaching of the church today is how nothing was right about the world for those 4,000 years before Christ, God wasn't operating then. You are talking of love, and God, and how Christ said it was OK for us to know His Father.
It is as if you are saying we may get out of the jail of so many restrictions. We may blow the shofar!!

I've wondered how it would sound. From what I read in the Bible it had different uses, from joyous to terrible. Perhaps the occasion and/or intent would vary it's sound. An instrument that inspires joy, or awe, or fear and trembling.
Don't worry about the PC crowd, make a joyful noise unto the Lord! And you know it was used in Jesus day, ridiculous to think otherwise.
The shofar is frequently mentioned along with the trumpets on events of festivals and worship. E.g. when the Holy Ark was taken by king David to Jerusalem: “So all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouts, with the sounding of rams’ horns and trumpets, and of cymbals, and the playing of lyres and harps” (1 Chronicles 15:28) or in the hints given by Ba’al Tehilim (Psalms 98:6) “With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King”.

it's no longer about what's Christian (New Testament) - if it ever was.
not only is it an affront to jews who practice this according to their dead religion....it is daring to add something to New Covenant theology and instruction that God Himself did not do.
for ONE reason - all of that was related to the establishment of; civil affairs of; and WARNINGS OF COMING JUDGMENT upon the nation of Israel...
...which in case anyone hasn't noticed - was dissolved and became as gentiles c.70AD - FOR A REASON.

You are a preacher? Cool. Just wondering, if there were still feasts in the NT, then wouldn't there have been the horn? Where does it say it was banished?
For those who are saying that because shofars and trumpets aren't in the NT, it's dangerous to use them, then that same standard should be held to ALL for traditions or celebrations that aren't in the NT.
Christmas, Easter, Children's Sunday School, Grape Juice Communion, Electric Guitars, Projectors, Power Point Sermon Notes, Live Streaming Video, etc, etc, etc.
Some of those are obviously ridiculous to include here. (I mentioned the last few, tongue-in-cheek, because I'm in charge of the Sound Board, power point and live streaming today.) But what about Christmas or Easter? Separating kids out for Sunday School? Not Biblical, and derived from pagan and fleshly motivations and traditions.
