To kind of go off on what Liamson wrote on his thread. I have been praying lately that God would allow me to live out who He has made me to be. And since I live strongly out of my heart, I feel, I long, I am a romantic, sometimes it's torture that I am unable to express these qualities. It's been 6 years of waiting. I feel that if God has made me to be a certain way that He would give me opportunity in which to live that out. It makes sense to me. We are given gifts and unique things about us for a reason. It's my prayer that He would allow me to be me fully.

I guess what bothers me in particular with CC, is how there are so many threads about submitting to husbands, how a woman should conduct herself, if makeup is okay, if more than one wife is optimal. And little about how a Godly man should be. We are viewed as temptresses, Eve making Adam fall- we are evil. We are to blame. While there isn't a large amount of guys on here that voice that so loudly, I believe that mentality whether big or subtle still exists.

I didn't respond in the thread this was posted in, as it was the Woman Thoughts thread and i'm not a woman.
But i would like to remind that in the past i, and many other men, have complained about the attitudes toward men on this site from women. Perhaps for right now the pendulum has swung, but for a while i felt constantly put down as a man for just being a man. That men are horny, selfish pigs who are never good enough, or spiritual enough to be worthy of marriage.
But i see this a lot. One gender only sees one side of things, but never realize the other gender often faces similar things. Whatever you're feeling, guys get the same thing. The details of the complaints may not be the same, but the degradation on the mind and spirit is no different.

pretty much this,

man if I got a dollar for each time I was told by women I was ugly, not good enough, never will have anyone cause no women will want me, never will amount to anything. I could very well be listed in the top 100 richest people in the world list.

I'm not saying that's not possible...and I do have a tendency to take the blame for things that aren't my fault...
But I also don't think that it's just "everyone else" misunderstanding me.
I just don't think that most of my thoughts translate well into words...or I don't have the skill with words to translate my thoughts to others.
And I see and think that is true with everyone. And for me I found out that when worried about it, I mess it up all he more
So if someone does not get it and I see this, I ask them what they do not get and try to come in a different way, until it is understood

And if can't be understood, I known I tried. Hope this might help you

Something I've noticed since living here in Maine (and maybe other states are like this as well, but I have yet to encounter any)
Companies post that they have these jobs available & are hiring yet never call back,or when they do (months later) they tell you that the positions have been filled ages ago & they just haven't removed the ad or posting for said job.

It's beyond annoying. I am not all into the fast paced rat race of city life,as I once was when a teen or in my mid-twenties,but wow...like,here the people drag their feet & procrastinate about everything it seems. With even less urgency than many of our Southern states.

I think I might just pull a Kramer. Get dressed up in a suit & tie. Buy a briefcase. Walk into an office building somewhere & just sit down at a table in their conference room & pretend that I have worked there for years. Maybe they'll decide to put me on their payroll?

Not the best idea I've ever come up with.

I dunno what I'm talking about this morning.

Best sentence I've read in a long time:

"Girls are *expletive deleted prior to posting* Jenga crossword puzzle Rubik's cubes strapped onto terrorists who are screaming at you in another language"

I know what you're talking about and it's kinda amusing in a frustrating way. I always found it helpful to call them back within that week.

This is definately not a good time of the year for a job in Maine, but I pray that doors will be opened for you! :)

It really is concerning how easily large groups follow alpha personalities, even if said personality is very wrong.

What sort of evil creatures are these? They are certainly not the women that I would ever call friends. Maybe you should move to Texas where people are nice. =)

This. :)
I can't imagine anyone speaking to another person that way, unless there was some serious bitter history between them.

Flu. And yeah, it's passing. Except for this annoying cough that doesn't seem to want to leave.
I'm glad you're feeling better, and I hope you got some rest this morning. The cough always seems to last forever...

Never. Want to hear. The term "thunder thighs". Again. Ever.
Not about me, not about anyone else.
Staaaahp saying it. Seriously.
