I'm making homemade brownies to take to a New Year's Eve party at a friend's house. Just some friends gathering to play games, eat, and have a good time. :)

It's supposed to be snowing, though. Hopefully the roads aren't too bad, it's about a 25 minute drive to my friend's house. :-/

This new year will be challenging for me. Definitely there will be more changes. And more straightforward decisions to take. Lift up my head from the ashes to continue running this sacred Christian race. Sorry for much poetry here persNickety but this year is a war year for me, 2013 was a year of losses, deceptions and hard lessons. 2014 will be for me a year of challenges.

I'm going to praise Jesus Christ for my second sober new years in a row--I might still be a fool but at least I'm not dying on the wire.

Prov 20:1 Wine [is] a mocker, strong drink [is] raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.

I need to find out what's happening locally for New Years. There's got to be a lot of stuff for singles, but they usually make me feel like merchandise at a used car showroom.

I would love to be in a cc-like environment instead. Mostly singles who may possibly be interested in each other but are really there to enjoy wastin—I mean, SPENDING time together. Kinda like That 70s show, but with less pot. Though I'm pretty sure the amount of beer is close to the same; y'all just won't 'fess up to it.

I am spending it watching movies at home, maybe get a pizza. Have to work early in the morning. New Years are for couples, kids and drunk people... At least it seems to be. Past few years, I slept through New Years. It's really not a big deal to me :)

Cmon...no one else is up for an all night binge marathon of Twilight Zone?

I got out of work early so I'm just going to wander around downtown with my guy later and check out the fireworks show...then twighlight zone marathon (woot) until its time to hit the beach for the first sunrise of the year.

My mom always deep cleaned our house on new years when I was growing up...her reasoning being that you can't bring your old junk into a new year. In that spirit, I am going to spend tomorrow purging, organizing, scrubbing, dusting, and disinfecting my apartment until it sparkles, I pass out, or both. I was chatting with one of my sisters earlier and she was at the dollar store loading up on sponges and cleaning supplies..funny how some traditions keep going.

Time for a nap.

I'm going to be washing laundry and organizing e-mail.

Tomorrow, I'm cleaning out the garage and sealing up the drafty spots in the house.

[deadpan voice] I lead such an exciting life that it's shocking that I'm not taken.
