Fess up. :) Which tv/movie scenes made you cry?

Buckets during Passion of the Christ, of course..

Also...

Shane
Courageous (about every 5 minutes)
When Littlefoot's mom died in Land Before Time
When Bambi's dad died
When Simba's dad died
Homeward Bound
Secondhand Lions
When Opie killed the bird with his slingshot
When the baby died on the bus in MASH

I'm sure there are a lot more.

This was the first movie we watched as a family after my sister died in a car wreck. My mom and I were uncontrollably sobbing at the end of this scene.

I cried a lot during A Walk to Remember.
I cried during The Book Thief (the end).
I know I've wept during several other movies but can't remember them at the moment.
My kids could tell you. They could tell you every. single. one. *sigh*

Schindler's list - the scene when Oscar Schindler says he could have saved more people

The Pianist - two scenes are extremely poignant for me 1. when the german officer finds Szpilman 2. the end when he plays the same Chopin nocturne that he had played a few years earlier when the radio station was bombed

Like Shane from Walking Dead? That guy was a jerk...

I cried when David Tennant died, when Amy Pond came to the doctor and told him raggedy man good night. When mufasa died. When Kamina died. When Alphonse died. The end of 'Dear Zachary' When characters have sad death scenes it gets me. BUt then I got all mushy during Love, Actually and P.S. I love you as well.

Oh and the part when Viral realizes his having a family is actually just a dream and he wakes up..

I keep it to a certain level where my tear ducts just swell. It's a man thing.

I've been crying over all the movies I've watched lately. Even movies where it makes no sense that I cry lol. I could list like a hundred but the ones I remember:

- Life of Pi, at the end of the movie. And also like two times through the middle of the movie.
- Hunger Games. District 11 scene.
- Les Miserables Musical. At the end, and during the Revolution battle.
- Les Miserables original, also at the end, and other scenes that I don't remember.
- Schindler's List. I don't remember when I did NOT cry lol.
- Empire of the Sun. When the Japanese soldier gets killed. When the boy finds his parents.
- Littlefoot, Bambi and Lion King. The same as Jullianna.
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Simply because it was the last movie haha.
- Life is Beautiful. At the end.
- Nemo. I don't remember when but I cried.

I wouldn't admit this one out loud -- the last scene of Breakfast at Tiffany's.

LOL!!! Not Land Before Time!! That movie still makes me cry. Why does the mother have to die!!! You writers stink. I think I'm going to cry now...too sensitive for this, man.

The Lion King of course
Up
I Am Sam
The Notebook
Dumbo
A Walk to Remember

There is one that made me cry really bad but I can't remember the name. I saw it recently. Hmmm...will post it if I remember.

Hunger Games: Girl on Fire tore me up. My literature-nerd/English-teacher sister told me that the Hunger Games trilogy was written as an exploration of PTSD. WOW. It certainly pulled up all sorts of flashbacks. On the one hand, it was cathartic; on the other, I felt like a needed a good cry, a sparing partner, and a bottle of Jack when it was over.

Passion of Christ- especially the scene where Mary is holding her dead son's frail tortured body as she stares off into the distance. It ALMOST looks like she is starring at the audience that is watching the movie. Connecting her grief and tears, her heartbreak with the viewers.

Jane Eyre- I bawled SO HARD at the beginning of the movie when she is running away through the fields at night, in the cold rain, falling over, close to death trying to get away.

Schindler's List- I bawled and felt sick to my stomach for the rest of the night. Hard to shake what I saw and felt.

LOST! I think I cried during 80% of the whole series. And when Charlie died....I still haven't recovered from that one.
