Aw, that's a very cute puppy!
It's great to see you've returned, Dorothy. God bless you and strengthen you. :)

Man i wish i had a dog. I could use one. And always wanted one anyways. Can you share?

Puppy breath!!! I miss having a puppy in the house. My two dogs are 4 and 6. Hubby won't go for a 3rd dog. I think I am slowly wearing him down, though:rolleyes:. We have 2 retrievers and he can't take either one with him. One is gun shy and the other was abused as a pup and freaks out in new settings. I am using the 'you need a hunting dog' tactic on him:)

Of course! She's really timid and shy right now.

I'd have to say the best part about owning a dog is assuring them that you're not going to hurt them when they're new to the house. Forming the life-lasting bond is the best!

By the way, she's a purebred Miniature Long-Haired Dachshund. Cream colored. We haven't named her yet.

Oh the puppy breath is to DIE FOR. Love it!

I had a dog growing up and she wouldn't die when she got old. I was, 19? I don't know exactly. My parents had decided she needed to be put to sleep since she was old and in a lot of pain. They had already set the appointment and had the entire thing planned out before even telling me. The plan was, in a week they were going to be out of town, leaving me alone and that i was going to have to drive her to the vet to be put to sleep, alone, then spend the next few days alone. Good times.

Ugh... that was depressing. Sorry. Didn't mean to jack up your thread.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. Not too long ago (about two months ago maybe) I had to drive my dog to the vet in the middle of the night because my neighbor is irresponsible. Her German Shepard attacked my little guy and let's just say it was pretty gruesome. I live 45 minutes from the nearest vet. It was a rough ride...

I, too, was 19 when this happened.

Yeah. My dog was smaller and got attacked once. I was young and gone so i wasn't there to deal with it. But i still heard about it. We had a few occassions she had to be taken to the vet. I think twice we almost lost her.

I'd like a dog now, but i just can't afford it. Nor am i sure i could handle the upkeep.

It's understandable, this little girl is quite a handful. She cried the whole time I was cleaning my kitchen. I picked her up and she stopped, I put her down and she cried again. She's like a small child.
I love her all the same though. She keeps me pretty busy so I can focus on her instead of myself all the time.

A few months back i had a rough spot and my brother had us watch his dog for a couple days, and there was a noticeable improvement in my mood during those couple days. Amazing the effect dogs an have on us.

Here´s another you will like (from my hometown)
