What do you think of them? I'm also curious if girls would be more attracted to me if they noticed I was wearing a purity ring. I think in my case God wants me to get one more in my case to remeber the reason why I don't want to look at porn anymore(please for me in this area btw I really do want to go the rest of my life without look at porn.) But I'm also kinda curious if it's also to help girls maybe feel safer around me so maybe they'd be more likely to talk to me or something. So what do you guys and girls(definatlly the girls. :p) think.

And yes, I actually am a virgin and waiting till marriage for sex.

I always thought they were kind of silly and pretentious, but I don't presume to judge the heart and motives for all the people who wear them. If you're wearing one to say, "Hey everybody, look how holy I am!" then that's no good. But I do have a couple of close friends that wear/wore them, and they are top-notch people.

Impossible to say as it depends on what each individual girl thinks about them, it may make a difference.

But you should be sure you are wearing it for the right reason, if it is to help keep your choice to remain a virgin at the front of your mind then that's fine, but if you are thinking of doing so to help you attract girls then that's a bit off.

For me, when considering something like that wondering how others might react, male or female, isn't relevant and isn't where your focus should be.

I think I"m being told a to get one to help me stay away from porn. The girl thing would just be a major + in my mind. ^_^

So as I have been doing my usual stroll through the threads i noticed you have quiet a bit of worry in the relationship department. As far as friends go all it takes is one to make u happy, kind of like I love you, man lol that movie sums it up that it only takes one best friend can truly make a person happy. The more things you do around people the more chances you have at finding one, but you have to be able to give yourself time which you seem to have a hard time accepting.

As far as the whole gf dealio goes you would be surprised when you meet them, one true thing I know from personal experience is that the more laid back you are the better your chances. If you are seriously trying constantly and everything in your path is to find them then it will just be very difficult. Relax dont push it

That's pretty! I know a few people who wear purity rings. sometimes it 'works', sometimes it doesn't. I myself don't wear one, but I used to wear a ring that looked like an engagement ring to ward off the creeps.

Let God's grace be the reason you don't look at porn anymore. A ring won't stop you from doing things of the flesh, only Go'd spirit and your willingness to work with it willl. i suggest you read the book ''every man's battle'' like i did. it's a tremendous book.

A girl will be much more relaxed around you if you just don't act crazy, be a friend and be a gentleman. In other words, let your reputation from your character be a sign for girls of who you really are, not a ring. Anyone can wear a ring, but not everyone can put on the armor of God and show fruits of the spirit, and those are the things that count!

Blah, right now tring to decide if I should the purity ring or Demon's Souls... I still can't really figure out if it's God telling me to get it or just my own mind. The purity ring I mean, not Demon's Souls.

no, that wouldn't make more attracted to- or feel any safer with- any man. i doubt id even notice that he was wearing one.
i dont know how one would help you stay away from porn, but if it would for some reason, go for it. =)

I agree with Arianna, I don't think it means much if you already have those values in your heart. Jesus once spoke of the Pharisees that prayed on the street corners and made a show of their values. I think its best to show your values by your actions and character, how you live your life, rather than what you wear.
