Wooooow my Forensics lab is boring me TO PIECES. >.<
Lol law enforcement is mostly tedious boring paperwork and sitting around doing it, or sitting around waiting for something to happen. :p

Actually... I know people who work on the Duck Dynasty set, and I was told that the Phil thing was a publicity stunt, probably because their ratings were dropping a bit. Never believe anything you see on or in reference to a "reality" TV show. When they are filming the Christmas specials (complete with gifts for friends, etc) in July, and threatening to take a guy off the show when they've actually already filmed most of the next season with him in it... it's all fake guys.
stunt or not A&E screwed up. I know several who will not watch anything on A&E again.
it brought out more liberal wonkos spewing hatred of Christianity.
publicity stunts most of the time dont work out as people think they will.

I honestly doubt it was a stunt, more like claim it was a stunt to save face.

i have a love/hate relationship with my phone.

it always rings when i am working, immersed, working out or relaxing.

it never rings when i'm feeling lonely (or more like, loquaciously unfulfilled).

p.s. on a serious note, how long can you put off calling somebody back before you're treading into "ill-mannered" territory?

I wonder if cats think to themselves, like 'I hope my owner comes home soon, I'm hungry' or 'hmm I am feeling pretty sleepy I think I'll have a nap'. Or is it more like brain sends signal for chemical to be released, cat getting sleepy, cat sleeps.

I'm not sure persNickety. I've had cats for years and don't know. Mine like to stare out the window a lot. My black cat Jazz is funny, he will stare at things without moving. He stared at a door jam the other day for about 5 minutes. Sad thing is, I watched him stare at the door jam for 5 minutes.

actually, last night i was thinking, "i wonder if my dog is embarrassed when she jumps and misses?". sometimes for exercise, i'll take her to an agility course my friend owns so she can get a bit of exercise.

last night, she went off before i could take one of the jumps down a few pegs (that was waaay too high for her) and she wasn't even close. the look on her face was just precious. or maybe it was because she was embarrassed in front of her "friends"

probably a lot like the face i had when i took a swan dive half way off the staircase at a friend's birthday party because my heel got caught in the hem of my skirt.

The car I was looking at is sold, hopefully something will come my way preferably a Hyundai or Honda. I don't want to get desperate and by a cavalier. I would feel so icky. Cavaliers are what people buy when they are looking for a cheap car after getting a licence.
i love how we assume what the world thinks about us because of the car we drive.

the first car i drove was my grandmother's old 65 ford galaxy. she used to drive it like an old lady, so i spent that full year driving it around proving to everyone an old lady wasn't driving it.

i racked up more speeding tickets, warnings, and near misses than any 15 year old should be allowed to get. all because i was sooooo worried that anyone might see the car and say, "oh look, there goes roberta, on her way to bingo..."".

p.s. last time i heard, that car was resurrected on the local (small town) speedway. i'm so not kidding.

There are 3 kinds of cats...

Cat # 1 "serious cat" all work no play type of cat.

Cat # 2 "evil cat" plots your demise & waits for the opportune moment to strike.

cat-plotting to kill you.jpg

Cat # 3 "keyboard cat" (my fav of all) plays you out..generally friendly...let's you dress him in silly outfits & let's you exploit him on the interwebs for your amusement.

Sometimes I have a moment of such clarity it's terrifying.

Is it normal for people to break things just because they're not working right? I dunno. I wouldn't think so.

(((hugsssssssss))) ..no,but it is normal (for me at least) to be working on something and then break it...'cause I'm just so talented that way.

I like to then call it "Art".

sometimes i break things while they're working. i actually got so excited the other day when i used my electric drill and didn't break anything.

i have a guy friend who is good about installing or helping me with things around the house. the dialogue goes like this:

me: "how do you do <thing>?"
him: "why don't i come over and just do it?"
me: "oh, that's so sweet. ok, but how would YOU do it, if you were going to come over to do it?"
him: long sigh

Monicat's avatar looks like an avatar MissCris put up at one point in time and so sometimes I'll see Monicat's avatar and think it's MissCris that's posting until I look at the username. lol

while we are talking about avatars, when i first saw fenner's avatar it immediately reminded me of a time i was travelling for work to guadalajara, mexico, and it was late, about 1:30 a.m. getting into my hotel to check in. i walked in the door into the hotel lobby. there was NO ONE in the place, except for one drunk guy in the far corner drinking and falling asleep. there was this band dressed up like a mariachi band.
and they started playing lionel richie's song, "hello", but think a cross between the lionel version and a mariachi song.

it was so surreal, like some crazy time machine wacky dream skit. i still laugh every time i think of it.

p.s. it was only a few years ago

Autocorrect is weird.

Today I was texting my best friend and we were joking around about her wedding dress. She fears that its so puffy it would make her look like a snow beast.

I started typing "or would you prefer I called you miss snow-beast", but instead of snow-beast it autocorrected to snow-breast.

I am not entirely sure why autocorrect seems to think that snow-breast is a word. I am sure, however, that calling my best friend "miss snow-breast" marks a new milestone in our friendship.

Hahahaa... auto-correct can be so hilarious. Don't you love when it waits until you press "send" to auto-correct all the words?

I once told someone that I wanted a Rolo McFlurry (from McDonald's - yummmm) and it changed the word to "Rollolf McGuffey". What the...? So now we crack jokes about wanting Rollolf McGuffey all the time.
