Luke 4:5 The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. 6 And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. 7 If you worship me, it will all be yours.”8 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.

I read this and see the devil saying I know what you came for and I'll give it to you if you give me what I always wanted.. Which he wanted to be worship same reason he got kicked out of heaven

Devil said I will give you all "their" authority for it was given to him.

Adam and Eve gave it to him when they came in agreement with him..

Matthews 28:; 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

When he died and went into the belly of the earth he beat up the devil and took our authority back.. Lol ok ok when I he went there he got our authority back.

Hebrew 2:5 It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking. 6 But there is a place where someone has testified:

“What is mankind that you are mindful of them,
a son of man that you care for him?
7 You made them a little[a] lower than the angels;
you crowned them with glory and honor
8 and put everything under their feet.”[c]
In putting everything under them,[d] God left nothing that is not subject to them.[e] Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them.[f] 9 But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

This thread is nothing more than a thread about the NAR/hyper-charismatic doctrine of dominionism. It's part of the Latter Rain/Manifest Sons of God teaching. It is humanistic in nature.

The temptation was to tempt the Savior to misuse the authority that was His and not the devils. The devil knew full well that he had no authority except that given him by God. The devil knew that Christ retained the authority that was His in the Father even while He lived here on earth.

I don't agree with the emphasis on human dominion (or authority). Taken to the extreme, it becomes a theology all about us and how great we are. The focus turns off of God.

this part:
When he died and went into the belly of the earth he beat up the devil and took our authority back.. Lol ok ok when I he went there he got our authority back.
Isn't in the Bible. This was not the point of the cross.

The Bible isn't all about us. It is about God. It isn't about our glory or our power. It is about God's glory and His power.

The cross isn't a means for us (humanity) to exercise special powers, or to take over the world.

God's power isn't some kind of force to tap into so that we can do what we want to do.

God does use us, but that isn't the main point of why Jesus went to the cross. Far too many Christians claim that Jesus died so that we could do lots of signs and wonders.

Okay, Simiel, what does "God," tell you, and how does He tell you?

How do you test it to make sure that it really is God who is speaking to you?

He said you are my ambassador what ever you need will be at your disposal...I know his will and I know what he wants. I only do things to please Him. Not myself

I know my Farther and I know his heart. I know he loves people. He payed the same price for all people.

I don't have a yes and no gospel. I have a yes and amen gospel.

How do I test God??? I'm not a servant a servant must be told what to do. I am a son I know what must be done

Colossians 2 says your wrong....

Power and authority is not latter rain nor dominionism, if you are going to attack charismatics, at least have a clue about what some of them believe in.

That message seems to do nothing but puff you up....

Don't you know that even demonic spirits say "nice" things like that to people? They tell them how much they are loved, how wonderful they are, etc.

I don't know how "God" speaks to you -- if you get this message from trying to quiet your mind and "listen" to what God is saying (some form of contemplative prayer), or if this is a dream or vision, or if this is an actual audible voice that you hear, or if you hear it from one of your favorite NAR teachers.....whatever the method, I'd really be careful if I were you.

Remember that demons can speak half truths -- they might say a few things that sound right, and then introduce error in there. Above all, they whisper sweet nothing's into your ear so that you can feel all wonderful, and so you will want to hear them again.

Be very, very careful, Simiel.
