The Bible says to cop out when it gets to that point doesn't it? What post did just-us-2 lie on? I'll rip her one when I see it. That ain't right!!! Give me the number!!! I'm gettin' a little upset now.

You can be angry but don't sin by letting the sun go down upon your wrath (Eph 4:26) and that is a mandated NT commandment for the NT believer. If you fail and and stay angry before the sun goes down, or comes up for that matter, God will give you grace although you may suffer a little in your flesh.

If you have no conviction about lying then forget it until you do.

Can't find where she lied? It would be good for you to point that out because it's Biblical to prove the offence. Maybe you are remembering this verse.

Proverbs 9:8 (KJV)
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.

Maybe you are thinking of this scripture.

Ephesians 5:11-13 (KJV)
[SUP]11 [/SUP]And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

Prove her lying tongue and see how she reacts. I'll be with you brother. If you cannot find it people will say you lied by calling her a liar.

I looked into the law and found nowhere that it said that more than one wife is against the law. Nevertheless, I think common sense prevails with that concept. I couldn't handle any more than one. That's a big challenge within itself. LOL

Hope she doesn't get on my puter and read this. It will be sheol for sure. LOL

As far as kings were concerned (and I would also think it would apply to the subjects of the kingdom) they were not to multiply wives in (Deut 17:15-17). A interesting thing about David's sin with Bathsheba when the prophet Nathan approached David God said a very interesting thing in (2 Sam 12:7-10)...

7 And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;
8 And I gave thee thy master's house, and thy master's wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.
9 Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.
10 Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.

David took many wives unto himself other than those from Saul. It was clear in (Deut 17:17) that kings were NOT TO MULTIPLY WIVES. How did they do it and why were they allowed to do so and why did the Lord give Saul's wives to David. Got an answer for that? I have one and if I said what it was I would be excommunicated from the people on this site, so I will refrain my lips and not be charged.

We are around the same age and perhaps she just forgot. It can be a great blessing when you get older and forget things in that short term memory center. I can't tell you how many times I have sinned and just seemed to forget it and couldn't even recall it if I wanted to I knew something was amiss but could not define it or point it out. Maybe some would think I am suffering from a calloused over conscience that lacks restraint. That could be but I would never know it.

That's ok. we all make mistakes. I am calmed down now, ad I'm happy that you are too.

I really don't know. I think of polygamy when talking about multiple wives, and that kinda turns my stomach. In reference to many wives and children, there is only one bride for Christ. The only reason I think God didn't restrict many wives to one man is to multiply the Israelites at a very fast rate. As I mentioned in my posts defining one covenant with two aspects as an allegory, we are called to multiply the church. So with that said, I can understand why multiple wives were an allegory concerning the church, and our calling to increase its members through the born again experience. It is amazing that the lineage of Jesus came through Daviid and Bathsheba knowing the circumstances, but God took their first child as punishment. Another thing is that Ruth was a Moabite, grafted into the lineage of David. I have always thought that this was for Jesus to also be qualified to be the savior of the Gentiles as will as the Jews.

Sounds like you forgot. LOL It wasn't for her to remember, it was for you because you called her a liar. OH well:(

It will take me the rest of the day to put it together. I'll post it by sections as I continue to put it together in an understandable form. What we are really looking at, according to what I have found, is that "covenant" Old and New are the same with different aspects defined as a type of "parable."
It is to be seen as an installment, as in singular, and not plural.
Right now, I know that sounds confusing because of decades of confusion concerning "covenant." GBU

It has always been by God's type of Love, Mercy since day one of the fall
Mercy God has given, so Mercy I will give
Remember the parable of that man that couldn't pay and begged for Mercy, was freed from his debt and went out and found another that owed him, and he did not give Mercy to him? what did and will God do about this to anyone that takes God in God's Mercy for granted?

Covenants 1242. diatheke dee-ath-ay'-kay from 1303; properly, a disposition, i.e. (specially) a contract (especially a devisory will):--covenant, testament.
Luke 1:67-72 (KJV)
67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,
68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,
69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;
70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:
71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;
72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;

We see in the Gospel of Luke that Zacharias received the Holy Spirit even before Pentecost, and prophesied the completion of the covenant was at hand. So one might ask: How does the temple fit in with this prophecy of the completion? We can also see that the testament of Christ was the finalization of this covenant when we read Hebrews 9:16-17 (KJV)
[SUP]16 [/SUP]For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

Hebrews 8:8-10 (KJV)
8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant (allegory of the old) with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

Refer to post #149 at the beginning of the explanation of “covenant.” Hebrew OT 1285 Old Testament Covenant=(Strong’s1285) briyth ber-eeth' from **1262 (in the sense of cutting (***like 1254); a *compact (because made by passing between pieces of flesh):--confederacy, (con-)feder(-ate), covenant, league.

In Biblical terms this is a *compact, firmly united between two pieces of flesh, involving sacrifice, and the human race. It is also a description for marriage, one being between man and woman, and the other between Jesus and the church.

**1262 barah baw-raw' a primitive root; to select; also (as denominative from 1250) to feed; also (as equivalent to 1305) to render clear (Eccl. 3:18):--choose, (cause to) eat, manifest, (give) meat.

***1254 bara' baw-raw' a primitive root; (absolutely) to create; (qualified) to cut down (as wood), select, feed (as formative processes):-- choose, create (creator), cut down, dispatch, do, make (fat).
Hebrews 12:24 (KJV)
24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

See post # 149 Jeremiah 31:31-33 (KJV)
31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Hebrews 10:17 and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

But if I keep remembering them, then they will not go away
Galatians 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

For as a man thinks his emotions will perform and does what he does not want to do, who will save me from this body of sin and death?

If the New Covenant is not what The Lord has done for me, that I could never do for myself, I do not know what it is. I am helpless to save myself. I only know to be grateful to Jesus Christ. This is all I can do.

one can only perform by trust and trust in the finished work alone from Son, Christ, the way the truth and the new life in the Spirit of God by the resurrected Christ not the dead Christ, yet it was needed first he death in order to bring in new life in the Spirit of Father since Father today:
John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

How do I break the Covenant? I can only be grateful. I do not have correct words to explain what that is like. But if there is something I must do in the New Covenant to save myself, I do not know what it is.

Just believe God at God's word he has:
Colossians 1:22 in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

Just respond to this in thanksgiving and praise, and you thus will be as you already are walking in the Spirit as Christ did while here on earth in Father's miraculous Love to all

How do I break the Covenant? I can only be grateful. I do not have correct words to explain what that is like. But if there is something I must do in the New Covenant to save myself, I do not know what it is.

By trying to obey we get caught up in self effort and trust to obey is out the window
Galatians 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Leviticus 26:14-16 (KJV)
[SUP]14 [/SUP]But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;
[SUP]15 [/SUP]And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:
[SUP]16 [/SUP]I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

Zechariah 11:9-10 (KJV)
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Then said I, I will not feed you: that that dieth, let it die; and that that is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let the rest eat every one the flesh of another.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people.

commandments= Strong's 4687 "mitsvah"
The mighty shedding of blood that enables one to be in God's presence when we chase after its security by continuing to reach out for the truth. That is the essence of loving God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength.

The "commandments" are to daily be reformation in our heart through the instructions of the originator of covenant, and by pursuing the changes it causes when we are sincere.

This is directed by the faith given to us that contains hope, being joined to our Father through Christ, our High Priest, receiving the understanding of the allegorical temple, and ordinances of old with its offerings and sacrifices, and then applying those to our lives today.

It is to desire the instructions God gives freely since the beginning, searching diligently with all your heart the spiritual meaning of temple worship as it was then, and endeavoring to exact the same offerings and sacrifice in Spirit, because our bodies are now the temple.

John 2:18-21 (KJV)
[SUP]18 [/SUP]Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?
[SUP]19 [/SUP]Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
[SUP]21 [/SUP]But he spake of the temple of his body.

1 Corinthians 3:16-20 (KJV)
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
[SUP]17 [/SUP]If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

Psalm 94:11-12 (KJV)
[SUP]11 [/SUP]The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

Neglect and apathy of these things we are exhorted to pursue will eventually "break covenant" with God if we have no desire to grow, and be daily transformed.

If we have the attitude of "it's all been done in my life, and its all in the past," that propagates an attitude of disconnect, and we are not in God's will.

In temple worship, salt was to be incorporated with all offerings of meat.

Leviticus 2:13 (KJV)

[SUP]13 [/SUP]And every oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering: with all thine offerings thou shalt offer salt.
Matthew 5:13 (KJV)
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

If we we think we are justified by doing this or that without this "covenant" that includes faith, we are also out of God's will.

Romans 12:1-2 (KJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Romans 12, Verse 1 is the epitome of Temple worship that we are suppose to be engaged with. It's reasonable, as Paul said.

Fear besets man and shows man's inability to be perfect and need for the Savior who has done it all in flesh's stead to bring in the sheep sound, safe and secure
For perfect love casts:
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

So we truly love because:
1 John 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.

Great point you bring up concerning the "law of liberty!" We are free from sin because of the sacrifice of the High Priest first. The Priest then takes our sacrifice, and baptizes it by fire. He takes our peace offering, and separates it according to God's will so that the ministry of the gospel can be sustained and increased. VERY GOO POINT!!!!

Therefore I shall depend on God's strength and none of flesh's, thanks and so therefore I am presented to Father through Christ as Holy:
Colossians 1:22 in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

I think I will go sing thanksgiving and praises being able to enter Father's courts this way though Son Christ?

Please read what Karraster wrote and my response. Thank you for your input sis. It's a matter of understanding in the Spirit of God all that God has presented to us since the beginning of time.

Romans 8:6-8 (KJV)

[SUP]6 [/SUP]For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

So then by Christ's death are we to see this as our death to flesh too? and thus alive to God in the Spirit of God by the resurrected Christ?

Did you post that to say that I am carnally minded and in the flesh? or as the post you recommended said "pleasing to God"?
I just wanted to know if you believe you are more pleasing to God than I am? Do you love God and do you love others more than I do? Or more than other people do? How do you know? I said my response to the Good News was astonishment and gratitude, and that I joined to strengthen my faith in Jesus Christ, and to experience the love from His people and to try to love them also. Is this presenting myself as a living sacrifice? Is this pleasing to God or is there something more I must so? I am sinning by being where I am? Are you accusing me, or loving me and believing the best of me? I'm just asking because I am reading some terrible things said here, worse than things I hear among those who do not believe. And it seems to be about the Law. Is this the right way to handle the Law? I need to grow in love.

Sister you are on the path ot know God deeply and as I see already do, for you believe God
understand this take all that is said with no offense and sift all that is said in you trusting the inner person of your new heart to sift it all out in you
For God is faithful to show you truth over error. And it does not matter what oters think or say for it is God that:
Romans 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
1 Corinthians 3:6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
1 Corinthians 3:7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
You are free Sister and It is God that lives in you to give you the increase and so listen and do as God leads not man

Oh, so the converted person wouldn't think to sin? Would nto even think about breaking God's Law? Not what Paul says...

Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Rom 7:15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
Rom 7:16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
Rom 7:17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Rom 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Rom 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

And Paul wrote this twenty some YEARS after his conversion.

Explaining the difference of flesh and the Spirit of God. Depending on how one walks by flesh or Spirit of God one sins by flesh whether trying to not to or not
Where as by the hidden man of our heart there is no sin
So we are left with the choice to trust in the Spirit of God or self and others selves as well only to get and keep caught up in sin
Bottom line fight is still between Flesh dead Spirit and God's living Spirit

Too late to edit, oops, ..........to add. The great cloud of witnesses were all the believers who died before Messiah came.:)

Messiah was there with them too. Everything that was created was created by Him, including all the covenants.

He came in the form of a man to show us a personal side to Father, that we not just fear Him, but love Him too. Because He first loved us.:)

And today to walk as he walked in Love by being led by the Holy Spirit of God the Father, A new given life by the resurrected Christ justified in the Spirit where we are to be dead to flesh by belief co-crucified with Christ thus see the new life given in the spirit of God not flesh
Flesh is unredeemed therefore consider it dead with Christ's death Romans 6:1-4
