Hi I'm new here and I am very impressed with what you have done in providing a place for believers of all nationalitys to meet and share their faith and grow strong in the lord.

HOWEVER!!!

When I entered the video section in the chat room I found the boxes on the right hand side filled with Joel Ousteen, Joyce Mayer and Benny Hinn.

Do you really have to leave matches and Petrol hanging around for children to play with?

Also A young lady introduced herself in the newcommers section saying that she doesn,t get to church because of her geographical location but she loves to watch these people on TV.

I tryed to warn her that they do not preach sound doctrie but she wouldn't have it.
Nobody came to back up what I was trying to warn her about.

If the administrators do not moniter what is going on here then we may as well include the book of Mormon and the watch tower to be allowed on this site.

The wolves look very much like the sheep and it takes years sometimes to tell them apart.
Protection for the new Christian is vital and Maybee you could do something to enshure the protection of the vulnerable.

I'm not out to cause trouble just very conserned.

You're doing a great job here and I'm so very glad I found this chat room.

What you're asking mods to do is monitor the content of every post that goes up 24/7 as well as everything that goes on in the chats. The mods are a limited number of people who volunteer their time. They aren't paid. They aren't on a schedule. They come and go as their time allows. With current resources it would be impossible to monitor every single post as it goes up.
And while you may not agree with these teachings (and i know at least some of the mod staff disagrees as well) they are still considered popular and acceptable preachers among many Christians. So the site has to draw a line where they stop cutting out discussions on topics and where they allow freedom.
As far as your complaint that no one backed you up, first of all the New Users section is to greet new users, not to enter debates on their beliefs. Second, only a small number of active users ever enter New Users, so you aren't going to get a lot of people enter there to even see the post. And many of those who do are there to greet, not start debates. Third, make some effort and do a search for Joel Osteen or some of these others. There are already a number of posts and threads on these kinds of teachers and the debates that already exist. Just because people didn't pile on in the section made to greet new people doesn't mean anything. Because they're already having those debates in the Appropriate sections of the site.
Perhaps before criticizing things so quickly you should take time to learn more about whats going on. Most complaints you made have been answered at other times over and over and the rest could be learned if you took time to figure out the site.

There is so much heresy and heretical proponents on CC that if you eliminated them all you would severely diminish the number of members. That's how invasive it is. The administrators just simply can't keep up with it. It's our job as Christians to mark and call out false teachers.

Once again you are speaking without knowledge. I often speak against these teachers and do not even accept many as Christians at all. Just because i make valid points against your suggestion has nothing to do with my stance on a topic. I'm sorry if my facts got in the way of your opinion and unfounded accusations.

You did receive an intelligent, well-reasoned, adult response. It sounds like you just don't like what he said. Also, showing disrespect is not warranted. Ugly was trying to be helpful and you badmouthed him. Not cool.

I have re read both what I stated and your response several times and I would like to admit that you are right and I should have investigated the facts further before giving my opinion.

I now see that you do care and your response was factual and to the point rather than apathetic.

I would like to add here that my anger on the issue of false teachers was miss directed.
When I first came to simple faith in Jesus many years ago it wasn't long before I fell for the lies of Mormon missionarys and was carryed off from the true sheep fold.

However if this had not happened then I would not have had the adventure of finding my way back to he Lord.

Once again I would like to say that I'm sorry for my un skill full reaction to a positive and assertive response.

In fact I cryed for the first time in years, I mean deep grieving from the heart.

I miss interpreted what Ugly responded with and I will use this experiance to be more sensitive to the fact that the administrators have a very difficult and demanding job .

I have only recently come back to the lord after a long and difficult journey searching for truth.
I am in fact a Buddhist Mitra.

Though I learned a lot along the way from Mormonism, Chrishna consiousness,Buddhism and all the rest That small voice would still whisper to me "My sheep here my voice and follow me,They will not follow a stranger".

If we are truly saved by Gods grace then like Samson he will never let us go .

For the record, the Administration team of CC does not agree with the doctrines pushed by Benny Hinn, etc. However we do allow many things to be discussed here that we do not consider to be good doctrine in an effort to allow open discourse.

As for the video menu, it is a direct link up to YouTube that we have no control over beyond standard parental controls that keep pornographic stuff out. It is possible to search the entirety of the YouTube menu from CC but what ends up on the room menu that you see when you enter the room is going to be based (by YouTube) on what videos had recently been searched.

He also on my next visit taught that we should invite our non Christian friends to "Come to church".
