I've had too many serious threads lately, so.....

Please post a song that would have been played at YOUR senior prom :) If you can't think of one, you can google top songs for the year you graduated and pick one. :)

Mine:

Sigh. I feel like I missed out many things in high school..like having a broad social circle and dancing like this at prom.

Yeah..but seriously If I had been to a prom, I would have suggested this song, to be played on that special night.

So Close- Enchanted Soundtrack

You're in my arms
And all the world is calm
The music playing on for only two
So close together
And when I'm with you
So close to feeling alive

A life goes by
Romantic dreams must die
So I bid mine goodbye and never knew
So close was waiting, waiting here with you
And now forever I know
All that I want is to hold you
So close

So close to reaching that famous happy end
Almost believing this one's not pretend
And now you're beside me and look how far we've come
So far, we are, so close

Oh how could I face the faceless days
If I should lose you now?
We're so close
To reaching that famous happy end
Almost believing this one's not pretend
Let's go on dreaming for we know we are
So close
So close
And still so far

At my senior prom they played...er..ummm wait a second, that's right...no senior prom for me!
I was a HS dropout (not nearly as cool as a Beauty School dropout, like Frenchie from Grease)

Actually, after we were done taking our G.E.D. we had punch & someone brought in a boombox & played a cassette tape of a whole bunch of rock & metal songs he'd looped backwards so that you could hear the "hidden" satanic messages. Stuff like Led Zeppelin & ELO. *good times...good times*

I'm sure they played this one. Whitney Houston was very popular when I was in high school.

There was a girl in high school that loved Michael Jackson so much that she always wore one glove, (I'm not kidding) she always tried dancing like MJ. So I know we had MJ played at out prom, plus he was really really popular then.

yeah, i hear you. i was quite the GnR fan, so it definitely remains a guilty pleasure that never entirely leaves my musical rotation. now that i think about it, it's on some of my workout playlists.

this was a fun idea. i really enjoyed listening to all of the songs, actually.
