Because i have not been married i cant speak on marriage..thats a load of crap. I have not killed anyone either but I can tell that it is wrong and I would never want to that and it would be a horrible thing to have to live with. I have never raped anyone but i can tell you that it is a horrible thing. You dont always need to go through something to say its something you shouldnt do. Did I really need to say that?

Premarital sex is wrong Grace-Like-Rain. Does it happen a lot? Yes lol. Will it most likely continue to happen after I post this? Absolutely. Does that make it right? Absolutely not. There are some people who get married and then have lawful sex with their partner....

How the heck do you reach a conclusion that marriage is wrong from a man saying divorce is wrong? What?

You cannot have one without the other, and if there is absolutely no justification for divorce under any circumstance, then there is no reason for marriage. Marriage leads to divorce, to eliminate divorce, eliminate marriage.

There are some things you can only fully understand having been in the situation.

You can empathize with a woman being raped, but you could never understand it's full impact.
You can talk about getting shot, but unless you've gotten shot you wouldn't know how bad it hurts.

We can go back and forth like this all day.

The fact of the matter is there are some things you will never fully comprehend until you have been there done that.

Actually marriages dont lead to divorce. Maybe some people decide to divorce. But maybe you dont know this but there are actually people who get married and both the man and the woman dont believe in divorce and work their problems out and die married. My grandparents are an example. But there are people who get married make vows to stand by each others side through better and worse and then when the worse comes they run for the hills. Divorce is wrong man no matter how you put it.

NodMyHeadLikeYeah I dont need to kill a man to know I should not do it. I dont need to drown a person to know I should not do it. There are some things that even though you have not done them you know they are wrong and you try your best to stay away from them. What part of that dont you understand? If a 5 year old walked up to me and said lying is wrong and murder is wrong. My response to him is not going to be you are not old enough to understand those things and you need to actually experience murder to know it is wrong. My response is yea little person you are right......

I don't believe anyone would dispute the fact that God hates divorce. I believe the issue here is that sometimes there isn't anything humanly possible that we can do to prevent it, if the other person is not on-board.

I would love to continue this conversation with you, but you've already got an attitude.

Bye bye now.

I would not be so sure Grace-Like-Rain. This was my comment, "Divorce is just wrong plain and simple. No matter how we justify it...it remains wrong." In response to me making that statement were a guy saying, "Well if divorce is wrong then marriage is wrong." :p and I even think he got some likes on that lol. And then another response to me saying divorce is wrong a woman comes on and says well he is 23 how can he say divorce is wrong...she also received likes lol which i also find ridiculous. All I am saying and said is divorce is wrong. After I make such a simple and right statement I get people attacking and trying to belittle the FACT...that divorce is wrong. So yea i dont think everyone is on the same page about divorce Grace-Like-Rain.

Possibly because you are implicitly accusing those who have been divorced of wrongdoing, especially given that some of these people are divorced because of the very reason Jesus Himself said a divorce was permissible - adultery.

And possibly because you're talking to women, and a lot of women marry a man and then find out he's a hitter. If he's not willing to stop hitting, there is very little that a woman can do aside from divorce.

Maybe so ServantStrike hey when you go into a room of people and say committing murder and thieving is wrong. Is my statement wrong? But that won't stop people from saying well youre 23 years old what do you know about murdering and thieving and then showing a lot of animosity towards me making a simple and right statement. Fact still stands I said something that is true and right and people reacted to that statement by trying to dismiss it or dismiss me by bring up my age. And who do you decide to support in this?.....interesting huh?

You made a blanket statement and it was a bad call. Chalk it up as a learning experience

Divorce is a horrible thing, no one here is debating that. But it's not always controllable. And if you don't recall, I already came out against it pretty strongly earlier in this thread.

Or, you know, don't pursue anyone who doesn't have a divorce finalized. You really shouldn't be pursuing someone who is either married or in the process of being divorced any ways.

Matthew 19
[SUP]7 [/SUP]They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?
[SUP]8 [/SUP]He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

Some include domestic abuse in that category. But it's pretty clear you can't just remarry because you "weren't happy."
See?

I made it clear getting divorced isn't about one's personal happiness. It's about adultery or abuse.

Jim (Itore) also made a good point, sometimes it's about the other party. If only one half is fighting to keep the marriage alive, it can still dissolve.

because many are stuck with the process of divorcing... i feel that it shouldnt be a piece of paper to determine rather u are divorce or not but thats my opinion i feel rather it should be to the heart and mind.. a piece of paper do not mean anything to me.
why should it take so long to divorce ? you commit to that person but dont mean the gov has to control it leave it up to god to control.
if a divorce process wouldnt take some long maybe things like this wouldnt happen

It depends on what's involved with the divorce. God can't control each states legalities concerning Divorce. I would say if you have a long messy divorce ahead it'd probably be better to stay single until it's over.

A Blanket statement? ServantStrike I have no regrets in what I said and if it happened over again i would make the same decisions and say the same things which is....."Divorce is wrong" If I had a megaphone I'd use it and guess what'd I say? lol yep. How about you take this as a learning experience...that there are people who walk on this planet who hate divorce and know its wrong. Please man I'm not apart of your justifying divorce club and I'm glad im not. Nuff said. seeya.
