1. If you could go any place in the world for any extended period of time, where would it be and why?

England, no special reasons just somewhere my friends and I have always talked about going.(Well more like starting in England then traveling through Europe.

2. What ONE thing about modern-day Christianity bugs you most? (hehe opening a can of worms here I know)

Legalists, moreso the ones with all the rules like you shouldnt watch pg-13 movies, listening to secular music will send you to hell, and blah blah blah.

3. When was the last movie you saw?

I think it was Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day which I rewatched about a week ago. Been too busy marathoning Breaking Bad, to really watch movies.

Oh snap, I was post number 5.

1. When were you saved?

2. What is your favorite ethnic food?

3. What is your preferred way of preparing eggs?

1. I came to Christ at age 17. I was young and stupid and finally realized how young and stupid I really was. I had been ignoring Him all my life with spurts of thinking I was a Christian.

2. Haggis.

3. I like poached eggs with pan seared onions on top of french toast. It's absolutely delicious.

1.) How fast is the speed of smell? When my dog has gas in the middle of the night, it's faster than the speed of light:rolleyes:
2.) What song will make you dance/rock out/ jam the second you hear it. Oh wow...so many. Pretty much anything Motown, anything Michael Jackson, anything ZZ Top and Moves Like Jagger :)
3.) Do you prefer a tropical rain forest, or a high alt mountain forest. I would have to say rain forest. I love forests, but I don't like cold. :)

1.) How fast is the speed of smell? 100 feet per second. Especially when it's my cooking. :D

2.) What song will make you dance/rock out/ jam the second you hear it.

Don't let the boybandish looks deceive. They're actually a really cool Christian band (they're considered Alternative). You can only consider them a boyband if you're considering that everyone in the band is a dude. That's pretty much the only thing that qualifies them as a boyband.

This is the song I jam to. It's a song I can't stop listening to right now. lol

3.) Do you prefer a tropical rain forest, or a high alt mountain forest.

Maybe a mountain forest, becausethere might be less snakes and deadly animals.

1.) How fast is the speed of smell? umm.....I guess that when smells trigger memories as they often do, the response can be pretty quick. My counter question is that if a tree falls in the forest and there is no one around to smell it, does it still smell like pine?

2.) What song will make you dance/rock out/ jam the second you hear it. Billy Joel's "Longest Time," Kenny Loggin's "Footloose," Pink's "Raise Your Glass," and 60's Motown.

3.) Do you prefer a tropical rain forest, or a high alt mountain forest. There is something majestic about a high mountain forest. Gotta go with that.

Well,duh...didn't you just smell it? Wait. Here it comes again. All I know is it travels @ ludicrous speed. Just ask Z-Man.

2.) What song will make you dance/rock out/jam the second you hear it?

"Billie Jean" by Michael Jackson / "Like I Love You" by Justin Timberlake / "Virtual Insanity" by Jamiroquai / "Baracuda" by Heart / "Intergalactic" by The Beastie Boys / "Faint" by Linkin Park ...(and like a billion more, but that's what I could think of off the top of my head)

3.) Do you prefer a tropical rain forest or a high alt mountain forest?

High alt. mountain forest...HANDS DOWN! I love heights and I hate humidity. Tropical anything, almost always means bugs & humidity.

1. How fast is the speed of smell? Smell is around 20 mph, it just saunters in the air, but ,if you think about it, that's quite fast .

2
. what music get's me rocking out? Anything, really, that the Lord puts on my heart. I rarely listen to anything but Christian music, one station is a more alternative one and another is mainstream. Both work . The Lord leads. For 'song,' since that's the question, right now, I like Michael W. Smith's new 'You won't let go' number.

3. tropical or mountain forest? Tropical . Look at littleC's reasons and think 'opposite.' I wanna see dangerous creations and seeing a black panther in a tree would be highly cool to me and seeing strange insects, too. I guess , I better be saying my prayers like Paul (bit by a viper but didn't die), cuz I'm probably gonna get bit by something poisonous :D

New questions:

1. Who is the last person who you gave (or who gave you) a "high five?"

2. The last board game I played was...

3. The last time I took a walk by myself for over a mile (not just a couple blocks to catch the bus) was...

1. My french horn student - after she reported in a lesson that she nailed "Swan Lake" in her orchestra rehearsal.

2. A game called Funglish - "express yourself with piles of tiles!" is on the box. I guess that's the only way to explain it.

3. On Monday - I took my car in for maintenance. Stranded for the day in Roseville, I walked a few miles along a trail by a creek to a different part of town where I saw the movie Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.

New questions:

1. Who is the last person who you gave (or who gave you) a "high five?"

A stitching friend (we both like to sew) when she got the joke that the rest of us were sharing about in the room.

2. The last board game I played was...

Monopoly. 2007 IIRC. Parents and my two sisters gathered around the kitchen table during the Christmas holiday.

3. The last time I took a walk by myself for over a mile (not just a couple blocks to catch the bus) was...

About two months ago when my car was towed and I needed to check with the business regarding the towing charges. Walked from my apartment to the business and then later to the auto shop where my car was being repaired. Very cold day. Lots of snow on the ground.

1. what is something you recently learned to do?

it's sort of too long winded to describe & wouldn't make much sense unless you worked where I do,but basically I figured out/taught myself how to do something with our front end system that has to do with a customer service issue and returns. I basically had to figure it out on my own last week because we were so busy there was no one I could ask for help,so I took it upon myself to learn what to do..helped the customer and it all worked perfectly. (ok,so I lied...that was long winded) :p

2. name something for which you have an irrational fear of.

I fear moths. Period.

3 if you could only retrieve 5 things from your home before it was destroyed what are the things you'd take (excluding pets and people)?
1. my back-up hard drive with all my MP3's
2. my little safety deposit box with all my passports, birth certificate, important docs that validate me as a human.
3. my box of photos (family/friends/pets)
4. my little book that has all the addresses/phone numbers of friends,my passwords, email addys & other odd little notes I need for daily life junk.
5. * I really had a tough time of thinking of five,so I'll just say I have some really rare bands I like on dvd that are kinda impossible to ever find again & it took me 30 yrs nearly to own them,so maybe them...I dunno...prolly not. lol
(this was hard just_monicat) lol

Function like a semi-normal human being.

2. name something for which you have an irrational fear of.
I was gonna say bees, but that's not irrational, that's just good sense...

3 if you could only retrieve 5 things from your home before it was destroyed what are the things you'd take (excluding pets and people)?
The orchid my best friend gave me
The blanket my great grandmother crocheted for me
The vintage rhinestone choker my mom gave me
The sad-eyed stuffed dog my grandma made for me when I was a baby
The letters I wrote to each of my kids when they were born

yeah, i guess they are kind of hard. i asked things i wanted to know the answers to! it was hard limiting myself to three, actually.

1. what is something you recently learned to do?

lately, i've been learning how to make concrete and use it to make countertops and tabletops. my first project is curing on the back porch.

2. name something for which you have an irrational fear of.

the dark (or just the dark at night). i still sleep with a night light (how embarrassing, right?).

3 if you could only retrieve 5 things from your home before it was destroyed what are the things you'd take (excluding pets and people)?

my mobile (the keeper of all the info i could ever need)
this box that contains a caollection of my grandmother's silk scarves and her pearls and her engagement ring
my journals/poetry & saved/sentimental letters
my boot collection
my dad's rookie FB jerseys

Not at all. I know tons of grown-up's who use night lights or actually leave a hall light on & totally hate the dark.
I actually would use a night light in the bathroom, just 'cause I am all out of sorts when I get up in the middle of the night & it's not unusual for me to smash into a doorway or wall just because I'm retarded & half asleep.

new questions:

1. what is something you recently learned to do?

Replace a showerhead.

2. name something for which you have an irrational fear of.

I can't stand anything covering my face. It freaks me out. I wouldn't recommend coming up behind me, covering my eyes and asking, "Guess who?" :)

3 if you could only retrieve 5 things from your home before it was destroyed what are the things you'd take (excluding pets and people)?

Family photos, my jewelry box (a lot of my jewelry was given to me by my mom and grandmother, so it means a lot to me), a cherry curio cabinet my stepdad made, my personal/business files and my laptop.

I recently got hired to play in Lutheran church services. I'm not Lutheran, so I'm new to how their services are run and their liturgy and am learning all that stuff. Does that count?

2. name something for which you have an irrational fear of.
hmmmm.....most of my fears seem pretty rational. I like penguins, ducks, and other waterfowl, but most other types of birds creep me out.

3 if you could only retrieve 5 things from your home before it was destroyed what are the things you'd take (excluding pets and people)?
My french horn, my piano, my tons of sheet music and music books, a bookcase that was made by a family member about 70 years ago, all the books therein.

ok, since nobody did it (and i'm awake and bored) i'll suggest another group of questions...

1. if we held a cc talent show, what would be your talent?

2. are you more likely to orchestrate a practical joke on someone, or more likely to be the recipient of a practical joke?

3. other than scriptural references, what's the best piece of advice someone has given you, and who said it?
