I confess I did not read the article, but all world leaders whether knowingly or not, is doing exactly that. They are puppets. There may be a few renegades not willing to get on board with the global government, but once they are cut down the real power hiding from public view won't waste much time. We are closer than many realize I think.

I didn't take time to read the article, either, but we just did a study in our bible class comparing the way Hitler paved the way for his policies with the way governments today are following Hitler's lead.

Obama is only following the ways of the people. When government makes laws about things that are to only be in God's hands like morality, there are lots of people who agree with him or he couldn't do it. Even here on cc's forums a most popular subject is law, and people for God's law are mocked and told scripture is against law.

Can you imagine TV programs like Little House on the Prairie or The Waltons actually having a big following today?

Sadly many fail to recognise that a beast as used in the figurative language of prophecy is a kingdom. Antichrists are simply those who deny Christ. Not one verse in Scripture says antichrist is an end time world leader. Satan's ploy has worked well as most are so busy looking over their shoulder for some boogeyman that man's (not God's) word says will rule the world in the end times they fail to recognise that in today's world we are literally surrounded by billions of antichrists (atheists , muslims etc.... and the list goes on and on). As a result the leopard, bear, lion beast (spiritual kingdom of islam) grows stronger everyday!

Good point. So who do we look to? Who allowed this? How did it start, and why wasn't it seen until it seems to late to reverse the process? That is something to think about. What do we see in the mirror of truth?

Hogwash! No one knows the day nor the hour not even the Son of God. To speculate, is to sell books.

Oh, and the anti-Christ is anyone against Christ.
 
If we as a nation had been following God's law all along, this situation would never have arisen. Bet that woke everybody up.

As God set it up from the very beginning, everything works together, always has, and even has a spiritual counterpart that applies now, after the ultimate sacrifice of the Messiah. In concert with that, God gave us instructions to abide by that would cause us to prosper. We are not the first nation to depart from those instructions, but we seem to have totally ignored the whole idea of learning from the mistakes of others. After all, it is written in God's Word what happens when a people live as God has told mankind and the blessings awaiting an obedient people. In one chapter alone - Deuteronomy 28 - there are over twenty-five blessings enumerated for the obedient! That should be incentive enough, but God was kind enough to forewarn us of the over sixty curses for disobedience, and we ignored it all.

I've heard the foolish arguments like everyone else has. "Separation of church and state" is so grossly misinterpreted that it is sickening to anyone with a brain and a heart for God. The phrase isn't in our Constitution and on top of that has been misconstrued to mean something akin to 'freedom FROM religion' - and we claim to be educated people.

I guess I'll step down off my soapbox now - I just thought I would indulge in a rant like the "law is abolished" faction in here. What is so sad is that those people refuse to take responsibility as God has told His followers to do, and when they refuse this and other teachings long enough, He turns them over to a reprobate mind. That SHOULD scare the socks off them. Why can't they make the connection between what God has said and everyday life, like voting for decent moral leaders? Hard to come by these days since we have strayed so far a way as a nation, sad to say.

It seems as though the more we claim to be led by the Spirit, the more carnally minded we really are.
 
This is not predicting the coming of Christ. This is for the purpose of looking at where we have failed, by not the reflecting the true light. On the fourth day of creation God created the sun that the earth revolves around once a year. He also created the moon that revolves around the earth approximately 12 times in a year, reflecting the light of the sun. The number 12 represents governmental perfection, and the 12th letter of the Hebrew alphabet represents the shepherds staff that teaches, yokes and binds. There are 12 original tribes of Israel, and 12 original apostles for this governing purpose. They reflected the light of the Father and the Son. When things go to pieces, we know that the lesser light is not reflecting the greater light. The church needs to wake up and look into the mirror, and the law of liberty. God is merciful to those who obey.

You are right about antichrist being those that deny Christ, but it is more than just people denying Christ, it is a false christian church teaching with a man that is in charge (1 John 2:18-19, 22-23). The beasts that are found in Daniel 7:4-8 are the kingdoms Babylon-lion, Medo Persia-bear, Greece-leopard and the 4th beast is the Roman empire. The little horn (what some call the antichrist) comes out of the Roman Empire. Daniel 2:31-45, 8:1-25 and Daniel 7 are parallel scriptures. Also keep in mind that Daniel was in captivity by Babylon at the time of these visions. In Revelation 13:1-10 tells us that this 4th beast from Daniel will have the characteristics of the other beasts, a spiritual false christian kingdom. God bless.
 
I don't agree with anything that Dr. Robert Jeffress espouses. Also, if the antichrist didn't come after Hitler's monstrosities, does anyone think the antichrist will come due to Obama? This is absurd thinking. Only God knows about the end times and He hasn't revealed dates and times to us. Dr. Jeffress is one to stay away from.

This is to reveal a pattern concerning how God never changes concerning His judgments.

Malachi 3:6 (KJV)

The questions are;
Has the church allowed the road to apostasy to be paved, and is it right to exempt ourselves from the world just because we are not of the world?
Have we unintentionally neglected God's judgments by considering the law of God as something that has been abolished?
Are we not falling away?
 
The questions all get a YES from me.! The falling away of the church,the rejection of the law ,morals, for salvation, and Obama: all are paveing the the way for THE anti Christ. Hoffco
 
Concerning this 4th beast from Daniel 7 and Revelation 13:1-10, there is only one kingdom or nation today, in our time that professess to be a christian nation...the Vatican, the Roman Catholic Church with a man, the pope, that is in charge. He is not only a religious leader but a political leader. Obama is going to meet with him in March to discuss problems of the world. All the world leaders often meet with the pope...no matter what religious background they may have. So yes Obama and all world leaders are helping to pave the way for the Antichrist (led by satan of course Revelation 13:4).

I like what you have presented, yet the first question that I asked on post #13 cannot have just a yes or no answer. I say yes to the first part of this question and no to the second part of the first question. God bless my brother.
 
When the usa leaves a country all hell brakes loose. It opens the door for a new power to move in. Russia is looking for more countries to sell weapons to, etc. etc. Yes, the man of sin is soon coming, maybe from the south, like Egypt, "king of the south" he could reafirm the old peace accord with Israel. before that day , Israel must attack and make war,so bad, that the arabs will cry for peace at any cost. Yes,to your no. we should not "exempt" from the world, in that we still must witness, and should vote our conscience and serve where we can, godly. I believe the RCC and Rome is the great Babylon of Rev.. I find my witness very effective here in the Philippines. Hoffco
 
Folks understanding prophecy is kind of like putting a puzzle together without having a picture to use as a reference. Prophecy uses figurative (or if you prefer) symbolic language to describe real events. When a person puts a puzzle together if you want the picture it makes to come out correctly you have to put the pieces where they belong. If you force fit the pieces into place you end up with a jumbled mess that does not look anything like it is supposed to. When we don’t use the definitions Scripture itself provides for the figurative (or symbolic if you prefer) terms used in prophecy and force fit Scripture to match the doctrines we have been taught we end up getting a jumbled mess that does not match what the prophetic Scriptures are actually trying to tell us.

Sadly most of today’s commonly taught doctrines fail to use the definitions Scripture itself provides for those figurative (or symbolic if you prefer) terms. End result most of today’s commonly taught doctrines concerning eschatology are nothing more then a jumbled mess.

Maybe it is time to toss out what we have been taught, clean the slate and start from scratch. I believe that if we can do that and we use the definitions Scripture itself provides for the figurative (or symbolic if you prefer) terms used in prophecy we might just be surprised at what we find.

Jesus said that no one knows the day or hour. But, He did say in depth what to look for...it's in black and white. He wanted us to know the signs. If people want to ignore these signs...then that's on them. When these begin to happen, I suppose there will be a few people surprised.
