The book of Genesis was written by Moses, who wrote it for the people of God. Moses added Yahweh for the reader's sake, the generations after God revealed His name.

So there is no truthful accuracy in these words? Just revisionist history by Mosheh? Seems that the entire meaning of this verse is converging on YHWH name, odd forgery?.

Genesis 4:26, "And as for Seth, to him also a son was born; and he named him Enosh. It was then that the Name of Yahweh began to be invoked again."

This is a time for problem solving now isn't it? Would God lie? Of course not! Then why does the Lord say this then?

"I am the LORD; and I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as God Almighty, but by My name, LORD, I did not make Myself known to them."

I see No problem calling Messiah in the engish language Jesus Christ is Our Lord & Savior, anyone that has dealt with a unclean spirit understands clearly why they flee by that name :)

God created all the languages/ tongues we have ponder on this please.

God Bless

"I am the LORD; and I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as God Almighty, but by My name, LORD, I did not make Myself known to them."

again: negative affirmation

The Father did not say that, mistranslating men did...

Genesis 12:8, "And he went from there to the hill east of Beth El, and he pitched his tent there; Beth El was to the west of him, and Ai was to the east. There he built an altar to Yahweh, and there he prayed with the Name of Yahweh."

The verse in exodus 6:3 is a negative affirmation and mistranslated in most translations.

Exodus 6:3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Yaaqob as Yl Shaddai; Almighty Strength, but by MY NAME YAHWEH, was I not known to them?

I cant begin to wrap my head around how pointless this is. My name is Matthew, but if I went to Spain I'm sure some people would call me Mateo. Or Mattias. Spanish words for Matthew. And look we translated another name. Into our language. And yet there we are reading some copy/paste by a messianic jew about how the name Jesus isn't correct. As if somehow a mis-pronunciation or mis-translation of his name means we have all just been wasting our time, and praying to thin air...

If all else is equal, does God EQUALLY save, sanctify, comfort, answer prayers etc. if a person uses the name of Jesus instead of one of the Hebrew names?

We can all agree Messiah had a Hebrew name right?

Personally I have never judged any for using what name they want, I can not say anything other than what Scripture say. I never said Yahweh wont listen to ones prayers because they use this or that name, there is stipulation on Him listening to prayer:

Isayah 59:1-3, "Behold, Yahweh's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. But your own iniquities have separated you from your Father; and your own sins have caused Him to hide His face from you, so He will not listen. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; sin. Your lips have spoken lies, your tongue has muttered perverseness."

Acts 5:29, "Then Kepha and the other apostles answered, and said; We must obey Yahweh rather than men."

Scripture say many, many, many times Yahweh wants us to use his name, for me all I care about is what He wants.

Yeremyah 12:14-17, "This is what Yahweh says against all My evil neighbors who touch the inheritance which I have caused My people Israyl to inherit: Behold, I will pluck them up from off their land, and I will pluck up the house of Yahdah from among them. And it will come to pass, after I have plucked them out, that I will return and have compassion on them, and bring them back; everyone to his aheritage and everyone to his land. And it will come to pass, if they will diligently learn the ways of My people, to vow by My Name, saying; As surely as Yahweh lives--as they once taught My people to vow by Baal; Lord--then they will be established in the midst of My people. But if they do not obey, I will utterly pluck up and destroy that nation, says Yahweh."

Yeremyah 16:19-21, "O Yahweh, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in athe day of affliction, the Gentiles will come to You from the ends of the earth, and will say: Surely our fathers have inherited nothing but lies and vanity; worthless, powerless gods, of no use at all! Do men bmake gods for themselves? Yes, but they are powerless! Therefore behold, I will make them to know--this time I will teach them My power and might; and they will know that My Name is Yahweh!"

Yahyl 2:32, "And whoever will call with the Name of Yahweh will be delivered; for in Mount Zion in Yerusalem there will be deliverance, as Yahweh has said, among the iremnant who has escaped of those whom Yahweh calls."

Psalm 118:26, "Blessed be He Who comes in the Name of Yahweh!.."

Zephanyah 3:9, "Yes, at that time I will return to the peoples a pure language, so that all of them may call on the Name of Yahweh, and serve Him with one accord"

Isayah 52:6, "Therefore My people will know My Name; Therefore they will know in that day that I am He Who speaks. Behold, it is I!"

Isayah 42:8, "I am Yahweh, that is MY NAME; and My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to graven images."

Psalm 5:11, "But let all those who trust in You rejoice! Let them ever shout for joy, because of Your protection of them! Let those who love Your Name, Yahweh, be joyful in You!"

Psalm 83:18, "Let men know that You, Whose Name Alone is YAHWEH, are the Supreme Head over all the earth!"

All I know is the thief on the cross didn't call him by any name other than LORD! I believe the thief was saved because he recognized the Lord for who he was. Jesus even said, "to believe on his WORKS as evidence of who he was." There is a simplicity that is found in Christ and humans tend to add to things. Take for example the following...

1. (The Roman Road) which is used by believers to (win) the lost.
2. Ephesians 2:8-10 which is used to (win) the lost.

Both of the sets of scriptures above are given to saved, church members and yet we use them to win the lost. Without a doubt you can forget going before God if you go with a name that He didn't give, but also at the same time we need to be careful that we don't go to (seed) on "scriptural truth" truth when it comes to the above lines of thought.

most likely a version of master yes I agree

but to say that we who have a long relationship with Him and we care not for His name is err IMO.

I agree totally...The names of God are Holy, To be held in Reverence, Not to be misused, blasphemed and any other kind of foolish lack of reverence.

Sorry but I didn't hear the answer to my question...

If all else is equal, does God EQUALLY save, sanctify, comfort, answer prayers etc. if a person uses the name of Jesus instead of one of the Hebrew names?

I answered in the 3rd line: "I never said Yahweh wont listen to ones prayers because they use this or that name"

So then, I don't understand all the fuss using this or that name.
Is there some kind of underlying assumption that Hebrew is God's native/eternal language?

YAH SHUA is the name of the man most people call Jesus, yet the question now is, who changed the name and why? Could it be Satan tricked men into replacing the name of salvation? Could it be that Prophesy was to bring about a restoration of his True name in these last days? One thing is for sure, the name is being restored and many are getting saved and stop using false names for the Creator and the Saviour. Here is the warning that we are told about not embracing the TRUTH and loving this TRUTH of his name, and why so many Christians and Others have refused this truth:

2 Thessalonians 2:7-13
For the mystery of iniquity (lawlessness) doth already work....because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause Yah shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. But we are bound to give thanks alway to Yah for you, brethren beloved of Yahshua, because Yah hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

Now let me ask you one last Question, Is it lawful to falsify someone's name? Use a false name in fraud? Sign a wrong name to a check? So if it is unlawful to do these things, then even more so, by the third commandment, we should not falsely use titles and false names to replace the Name of Yah and Yahshua Messiah.

So Jesus is a false name?

So Jesus is a false name?
They insist on saying the correct name of God but they can't all agree on what that exact name is! :p

Occultists believe you must say the correct wording to make a spell work and the sacred namers do the same thing in that that they must say the correct name of God.

The Sacred Name nutters seem to despise Greek and get all gushy over Hebrew names. They even will use Hebrew names in the Greek scriptures. Some will even insist the NT was originally written in Hebrew. :p

Playing the best of both angles huh?

Group all together then pick em apart for not agreeing.

There are hundreds of denominations of Christianity, that in itself does not prove or disprove anything, other than all can not be right, doesnt mean all of them are wrong.

Also Scripture says to call upon a particular name many times.

Are you familiar with Shem Tov' s Matthew in Hebrew?
