1. I want to note something on this Illuminati modern phenomenon. I personally do not like ascribing so many things to the so-called Illuminati. For one, yes the Illuminati was a real secret society that was wiped out and reincorporated into freemasonry. Secondly, the more modern concept of the "Illuminati" has become moreso a blanket term for some shadow world government. This is in fact not true as there are hundreds, if not thousands, of secret societies in the world, almost all of which are competing directly against one another. I believe many secret societies themselves promote the Illuminati Conspiracy as a means to distract and throw people off their path, sow fear, and even to recruit people.
2. On symbolism. Symbols can have a wide variety of meanings and over time can gain additional meanings. For example, the snake eating its tail could be interpretted as a symbol of self-destruction or it could be a symbol of infinity or even it could be a symbol of both. Symbols can be used in a variety of ways such as identification that you belong to a group, to convey a message, or even to manipulate the mind. It is important to remember not just your own interpretation of a symbol, but also the interpretation of the presenter of the symbol, and the context in which a symbol is used.
Now on to the homework assignment. I had seen Monarch Mind Control Theory before. There are many interesting theories on this. Almost all of which are saturated with Illuminati Theory so I would say, ignore the Illuminati speculation and just look at what we can objectively observe with the Monarch Theory. This short clip I found is pretty decent because the maker has put together some theories that you will notice align with other theories and factual observation.
The connection between sexual mind control and butterfly symbolism. - YouTube

Some interesting notes from this clip that align with other Monarch Mind Control Theories:
1. The prevalent use of the butterfly as a symbol in Western Entertainment Culture.
2. In entertainment the butterfly is used as a symbol of disassociation, a dreamlike/hypnotic state, in regards to women is used as a sexual symbol, and also the butterfly is often a symbol of metamorphosis.
3. There is often a connection of either childhood sexual abuse or adult sexual promiscuity in the personal lives of all the people in the entertainment industry that all seem to use the butterfly symbol.
4. Not so much featured in this video clip, but in others, there seems to be a strong connection of Multiple Personality Disorder related to the people that heavily use the butterfly symbol.
(Note: At the end of the video notice how the videomaker ironically uses symbolism him/herself by using the pyramid of skulls and eye symbol to impress upon your mind that this is all part of an evil secret society conspiracy without using any words.)
