I'm watching the Grey's Anatomy episode where Meredith has an Appy performed and she's very high. She's saying all kinds of funny things and having oddly meaningful conversations.

Maybe it's because I had sub-par insurance when I had surgery, but I didn't have that good a time in the hospital. I do remember threatening to punch someone in the face if they didn't leave me alone. But everyone does that, right?

I'd forgotten I usetacould sing, kind of.
Singing the same song over and over and over until I get it right is an amusing way to waste an hour.
My kids stopped giving me funny looks after the third time through the song.
Now only the cats are annoyed, and honestly, I just don't care, because...
I hate cats.
Someone: why don't you like cats?

mizcris: BECAUSE I HATE CATS !!!

:D

And, could someone please notify mizcris, if she doesn't see this, to make sure she notices how cute fen's cat in her avatar is with the bonnet on it ??? :D

I watched Grey's Anatomy one season, duchessprincessaim and it was g-rreat, not to put it in Tony The Tiger's words or anything :D But, it was the season, I think the first one, where there were those quintuplets that were born. It was a real powerful 7-8 episodes I watched or however long the season was and that babies episode in particular I can remember bringing tears to my eyes. However, I think, I thought the next season was way too much 'soap' cheesy drama and not enough medical coolness, like 'House,' now that's a killer-good show, and quit watching Grey's altogether and haven't watched it since. I'll admit too when I did watch Greys, I always saw lead doctor, patrick dempsey as that kid in 'Can't Buy Me Love,' got older but looked the same, really, just saying. hopefully, I'm not saying 'nothing.' :D

-> Khan (title) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kaan/Khan/ Kahn / Kagan (Mongolian: хаан, xaan) is an originally Mongol and subsequently Central Asian title for a sovereign or military ruler, widely used by medieval nomadic Mongol tribes living to the north of China. "Khan" is also seen as a title in the Xianbei confederation for their chief between 283 and 289. The Rourans were the first people who used the titles Khagan and Khan for their emperors, replacing the Chanyu of the Xiongnu, whom Grousset and others assume to be Turkic. It was subsequently adopted by the Ashina before Mongols brought it to the rest of Asia. In the middle of the sixth century it was known as "Kagan – King of the Turks" to the Iranians.

It now has many equivalent meanings such as commander, leader, or ruler. Presently Khans exist in South Asia, Central Asia, Eastern Europe and Turkey. The female alternatives are Khatun and Khanum, ...

-> Khan (surname) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Khan (Urdu: خان) is a surname and title of Central and Western Asian origin, primarily found in Afghanistan, Pakistan and other Central Asian and South Asian countries.

Use as a title
The surname Khan originates with the honorific khan, originally used in the Mongol Empire, and later more widely by Islamic chieftains in South Asia. The British Raj continued the Mughal practice of awarding titles such as Khan Bahadur for Muslims and Rai Bahadur for Hindus.

As a title, khan is now mainly used by the Pashtuns. In the South Asian Subcontinent a Pashtun is addressed as Khan Sahib routinely whether he has Khan formally as part of his name or not. Moreover, the term Khawanain is used to refer to the Khans, collectively, as rulers, chiefs etc. of Khanates in the North West Frontier Province of India, and later Pakistan, particularly in Hangu, Hazara, Swat, Dir, Mardan and other districts in contemporary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In the non-Frontier regions of the Subcontinent Khanates did not exist at anytime in history.

Communities using Khan as a surname
The communities that use the surname Khan include the Afghans/Pashtuns, Bengalis, Mughals, Muslim Rajputs and Turkic people in Central Asia and Northern Pakistan; tribes in Pakistan and their descendents in India, Baloch tribes in Balochistan and in Sindh and various Mongol, Turks, and Tatar tribes in central and northern Asia.

The Pashtuns claim that the title of Khan originated from Kahn (sometimes spelled Cahn), a traditionally Jewish name derived from the Hebrew name Cohen or Kohen or Cohn, denoting priestly/noble lineage.

Other usage

It is now a widespread Islamic surname in most countries of Central and South Asia. Khan is the surname of over 80,000 Islamic Britons, mostly British Asian, making it the 80th most common surname in the United Kingdom, and one of only a handful in the 100 most common surnames which are of neither British nor Irish origin.

A hot wheels car should be so hidden in a happy meal, that a kid should have to get diabetes just to get the car he was looking for.

The perfect jelly doughnut should be so hidden in the church's coffee bar that a man should go to church religiously until he finds it.

A Dodge Viper should be so hidden in the sales lot, that a man should have to work there to find one.

A free Drink should be so hidden in the punch-card at Subway, that a man should eat there for a month just to get one.

A Ticket to the Factory should be so hidden in Wonka Chocolate that a man should eat a Palette of it just to find one.

A man's money should be so hidden in his wallet that a woman should have to marry him just to find it.

A Late Night Infomercial should be so hidden in the Cable Channels that a man should have to buy the DISH premium package, just to find it.

The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field.
When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. :)

Today is kind of really a big deal for me here.
I made a decision well before Thanksgiving, and I have since been fine-tuning logistics, storing up courage, and doing one heck of a lot of praying about the entire thing.
Three months on, it's time to put plans into action.

I am terrified.

Yet at the same time, I feel very much like God is in control of the whole thing, more than I can see or ever will know. I feel at peace, if not entirely content about my decision.

I always wonder how I'm supposed to know if I'm doing what God wants, or if I'm trying to take over and just doing what I want.
But the thing here is, the decision I've made is not something that I wanted. It's opposite of ideal; it's something that I've fought with myself against for a very long time, always finding reasons against it...but I've finally realized that my "reasons" were actually excuses born of fear.

The fear I feel isn't about the decision itself; that, I believe is right. Maybe not "good", according to so many people, but right.
I'm scared because I've never done this before. Scared because I have my babies to think of, and I underestimate my abilities, and I always tell myself I can't do things.

I know better, yet there's still the nagging doubts- Am I really capable of this?
And I have the answer to that...
No, I on my own, am not capable.

But there is absolutely no question that God is more than capable, and I am learning, albeit slowly, to lean on Him.
While yes, I came to this decision on my own in a lot of ways, I am now doing my very best to allow God to get me through it.

I know I'm being all annoyingly vague and all about things; sorry for that. There will be a point in the near future when I can just say what I mean, and honestly, that will be a huge relief for me. I'm sure I'll take a lot of flack over it...and that's fine. I made the decision knowing that plenty of people wouldn't agree with it. I made it knowing that I would probably even lose friends over it, and that some of my own family will be upset with me.
Like I said- not ideal, but right nonetheless.

It's going to be a really busy week.
As God leads regardless what others think

With the theme I was going with, the field would have to be exponentially more valuable than the pearl.

"Weapons of Mass Destruction should be so hidden in Oil that a man should have to invade the Middle East just to find one."

I hope you feel better. Since you're young and look like you're in good health its probably just a little heartburn. If you're really worried, take an aspirin as a preventative measure. Aspirin thins the blood and prevents coagulation (the cause of heart attacks and strokes).

Note: Don't take the aspirin on an empty stomach. Drink some water or eat something beforehand.

It kind of drives me insane when someone wants to help, or thinks they're being helpful, when they have no idea what the problem is and don't bother to find out in order to know how to help. I want to feel like it shouldn't matter so long as that person's heart is in the right place...
but how "right" can their heart be if they don't care enough to find out what the problem is?

These. Are. Great.

I think I may have to use some of these the next time I see the line this originates from, just to show them the flawed logic of it. I can't stand it.
