Why do you think I have been smoking something? There is no other explanation other than truth from God. I have been smoking through thousands of pages of books....including the bible. Thanks for noticing my labor, brother!
Just to clarify the first line in his statement here said "what have you been smoking?" Hence, my reply. He erased it.

Such a sad thing to teach. I'm not really sure where it is written that the world is coming to an end. How horrific the heart that understands that to be our end. Rapture and tribulation on mankind. People with special privileges over others. Wrath, burning, and uncertainty...I am sure glad God is not the author of chaos! I always ask myself when I find myself outside of certainty....who am I to proclaim judgement over the world and God's children. Maybe I am not as close to God and his word in truth as I thought I was. That's a pretty big responsibility to understand God's intended end out of my own understandings of his word. What makes me so special and powerful beyond another? Maybe I'm just pretending to be the last resort of humanity and the world proclaiming his Devine closure. Maybe I'm Just Regurgitating the thoughts of others whom reflected light in the darkness. Maybe we all roam the darkness. God knows you and I and we know we are all family and his children....let us bear that truth alone in the flickering light of chaos and never condemn another or the world in our own confusion.
just no...

I don't think it is sad at all to teach that the world is coming to an end. Part of this teaching is teaching of the new earth that is coming and the beauty of the new earth.

As soon as Adam tasted of both good and evil, God made a plan for our redemption. When we choose to live with good we have the fruits of the spirit and it is all good and joy. When we choose to live with evil it is bondage and unpleasantness. We can look forward to this being conquered. It is going to get tougher and tougher to live with how much of the world is choosing evil, and we are told it will only get worse. Fifty years ago, if people spoke of the ten commandments as they do even on this Christian site it would be like tars and feathers for them. Here, it is considered a spiritual way to look at the Holy Ghost leading them. We are headed for terrible trouble.

There is hope. The entire book of Revelation is a book of hope and joy coming.

Yeah, in retrospect it sounded too harsh, and I am trying not to come across quite as harsh. However, the statement did astound me, and my reaction was honest.

As for the end of the world being sad/ Not in this house. I am looking forward to this:
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
I am looking for my homeland.
For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. [SUP] [/SUP]And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
[SUP] [/SUP]But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

I think it is up to the individual to initiate the end. Very few have and most just pass away waiting for some sign or something to happen. It's not going to, it's up to you to bring Christ. Learning from each other, spending much time in scripture and meditation. God tried to create man with his Devine spirit. The body rejected and polluted his spirit. God forms man then with the CAPABILITY TO REPRODUCE AS A GOD ....that's why all the begatting of men and sons occurred in genesis. Immaculate reproduction of spirits within ones self oversaw by God. Then humanity traverses time and learns the principles of God's spirit and all the scriptures are left behind so others may learn and follow the same path. At the end when one is ready and fully understands the spirit of God through all the scriptures the person begat one last spirit to rein over the individual's throne and that will be the Christ that you bring forth so that you may walk as God in the flesh. That is his plan. There are also teachings of falling short for whatever reason. These are all the things we must avoid.

[SUP]13 [/SUP]Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Finally someone understands we are called to a duty, which is our purpose in life...as opposed to how we feel about a thing.

It's not like that is a secret. :)
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

It's no secret only to those who hear his voice brother.:)
But others...some go to show they think the bible was written for them
as if they are to be catered to, as if it's all about them not realizing the very purpose of their creation is not to be served.

But to submit and serve according to how Gods Holy word dictates, as opposed to what makes themselves comfortable.
The Lord's yoke isn't heavy anyways, so I don't see the problem with serving him instead of expecting to be served by him,
But looking around we can see the ones who expect to be served as they constantly lash out or search for something else to make them happy, not realizing that happiness is what one seeks to satisfy themselves.
Joy is being content in every situation the Lord brings.

We need to teach the truth, look up the day of God's wrath
it is coming
it is a good idea to get right with God now.

Amos has the whole story, and Zephania.

And the person that says

"It is not about what we like, it is duty that counts"

This is a foreign concept to all the false religions that infest the world today.

Doesn't it say (time) will be no more in the book of Revelation?
Actually, it doesn't. The KJV English is not good in Rev 10:6, the NKJV puts it much better...

Rev 10:6 and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there should be delay no longer,

There is another verse a lot of people stumble on...

Rev 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

People have asked how 2000 years could equate to "shortly come to pass"? Truth is that it doesn't. This is not what this verse says. The word for shortly here is...

G5034
τάχος
tachos
takh'-os
From the same as G5036; a brief space (of time), that is, (with G1722 prefixed) in haste: - + quickly, + shortly, + speedily.

Rev 1:1 would better be rendered...

Rev 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which once they begin, must take place quickly. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John,

John Gill beats around the bush but does say this...

to show unto his servant things which must shortly come to pass: the Arabic version adds, "in future ages"; things that were to be hereafter, the accomplishment of which was necessary, because of the certain and unalterable decree of God, the good of his people, and his own glory; and these were to come to pass quickly, in a very little time; not that they would all be fulfilled in a short space of time, for there are some things not fulfilled yet, though it is nineteen hundred years ago and more, since this revelation was made; and we are sure there are some things that will not be accomplished till a thousand years hence, and more, for the millennium is not yet begun; and after that is ended, there is to be a second resurrection, and a destruction of the Gog and Magog army; but the sense is, that these things should very quickly begin to be fulfilled, and from thenceforward go on fulfilling till all were accomplished. Now to show, to represent these things, in a clear manner, as the nature of them would admit of, to the servants of Christ, all true believers, read and hear and diligently observe them, and especially to the ministers of the Gospel, whose business is to search into them, and point them out to and particularly to his servant John, was this revelation made by Christ, who immediately answered this end:

Evolution is also true. We came from the animal kingdom and some lineage of the ape. God guided humanity. When we received his spirit we started a branch off that lineage, our evolution began. Genetics do not drive evolution. Our evolution started and followed our spiritual evolution over time. No other animal has evolved but humanity from that point to present. The only way we can continue to evolve is through spiritual progression following learning and understanding through God.
No, we did not evolve and primates are not our ancestors...

Gen 1:21 So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

Everything in the waters was created after it's kind.

Gen 1:24 Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind"; and it was so.
Gen 1:25 And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

God made all land creatures after their kind.

Now here comes the difference...

Gen 1:26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
Gen 1:27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Man was created after the God kind. Our destiny is to become a member in the family of God.

Yes, but these ages are determined by fallible humans with a bent to explaining everything without the need for a God (humanism). They project their evolutionary understanding onto the evidence.
How are fossils dated? By the strata they are found in. How is stata dated? You guessed it, by the fossils found in the strata.

MBFM circular reasoning.

Just to jump in here on the topic of evolution. Everyone loves them some evolution debate. Now Darwin's definition of evolution is one species changing into another and that all life has a common ancestor thus he believed evolution is the Origin of Species. Thanks to genetics we can confirm what the ancients knew for millenia. Evolution is in fact true and can be observed with hybridization. Curious thing about hybrids is that they are either sterile or need their parent species to reproduce whereupon the offspring either revert back to the parent species or are of the same hybrid species. So it would seem that evolution is not the Origin of Species, but rather is the Dead End of Genetics and Life. This gives further proof that all creatures and people on Earth were in fact originally created after their own kind. If they were therefore created one must logically assume there to be a Creator.

As for the End of the World. Yes it will be a happy day when this wicked world and all the imperfection within it are tossed away forever so that the new and perfect Creation can be fulfilled as God intended. The End of Days will in fact be the literal end of days and time as mankind's original state was immortality and thus since eternity and the Laws of Life will be fulfilled and the Laws of Death abolished, time itself will then be meaningless. Even though we all must pass through the current times of tribulations, The Beginning of Sorrows, through faith in Jesus, the only Christ (which means annointed one), the only Messiah, the only begotten Son of God, His Word promises to raise us up to witness the End of Days, the wiping away of all the tears of time, and He alone can lead us to the waters of Life.

Bible commentaries certainly have their place, but they should never take the place of God's Word and be held to the same standard.

Taking John 3:16 a bit out of context where if you read the the complete thought it no doubt is referring to man and no mention of animals or him dying for example a shoe even though a shoe is part of the cosmos.

As for Romans 8:22 I don't think you can insert whatever you want there. Again the subject is clearly man.
Rom 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
We become the the children of God not cockroaches.
Maybe you should study more...I didn't take anything out of context. John 3:16 states clearly that God loved the whole order of things and died for it all. Adam gave up the keys and the rights to this planet when He sinned...Jesus paid the price for ALL things and took it back. God is a God of words and did not use MAN in John 3:16 and if we cannot understand the words and want to read in what we want to cram down the throats of the people around us, speaks to our own stupidity.

FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD what part of the word world don't you understand? Go look it up and see what it meant to a 1st century Christian as opposed to 21st century (crap) from someone who obviously can't read or is blind to the words.

and no mention of animals or him dying for example a shoe even though a shoe is part of the cosmos.<----This takes the cake and has got to be the most moronic thing I have ever seen, if not it definitely one of the top quotes of ignorance and twisting of truth I have seen.

As far as Romans goes...the Whole creation groans and travails God must of been stOOpid (yeah I know) when He inspired Paul to use those PARTICULAR WORDS!
