If i was tied down and force to watch The View for hours on end i would cry, I would probably try to break free and throw myself out the nearest window

you would cry out of sheer happiness and joy!

a man who cries, is a man who shows his feelings. a man who hides his tears, hides his feelings. a christian doesn't hide who he is in Christ. God created your tears. no matter the situation may be, let them fall. hide your tears from no one. a man who can cry anywhere, is a man who only fears God.

Never... We shouldn't be sad at death and other than getting hit with a football in the groin, I can't see any other reason why. Although I have had older guys tell me your more likely to get sentimental and teary with age. I don't know how true that is.

Anytime he bloody well pleases!! Crying does not mean he is not a man or any of that crap. In fact I think showing emotion like that makes a person more a man than the wuss who doesn't have the guts to show what he feels.

I didn't choose any of the options. Man can cry anytime they want. Is there a written rule where they can't? Society tells us that it's okay for women to cry as much as possible, but when it's a guy who's crying, it's wrong. God gave us tears for a reason. We might as well use them.

So men, cry all you want :)

In touch with his feelings? Or just a big nancy boy?

What do YOU think?

Married women, does it bother you when your husband cries!!!

I think its acceptable in some circumstances, but I want to hear what you all think first.

As a "married woman" I will answer YES it bothers me when my hubby cries....but not because I find him "weak" or "a big nancy boy". It is because when he cries, it is because he is hurting, and when he hurts....so do I. Crying is a natural release of emotion, and while men often find other ways to release their emotions, they still need to cry sometimes too. They also need the acceptance of others to just be themselves and let it happen when they need to. As for the comment that they NEVER should need to cry......I just don't get that..... I agree that death is not death since we know heaven awaits,..but still....crying over a death is not mourning the fate of your loved one, as much as it is mourning the LOSS of your loved one in your own life. And I double dog dare anyone not to cry over extreme pain..come on now........

I want to applaud you. You took the words out of my mouth (or fingertips). I've seen my husband cry while he was telling me about how horrible it was being at war in Iraq and finding out his wife at the time had been cheating on him for crack money and finally had left him for another woman. After 15 months of being in hell on earth, he wasn't even going to get to go home to his wife. He cried...I cried. He also cried at our wedding, which I thought was awesome. And one time he hurt my feelings really bad because I had to go to the hospital and he dropped me off instead of coming in with me because he wanted cigarettes. He KNOWS that I hate cigarettes more than just about anything and he left me alone and in pain at a hospital without my cellphone to go feed his addiction. I told him how that made me feel, and how bad it hurt me, and I was crying, which made him cry because he knew how bad he'd broken my heart. That's manly, sensitive crying there.

Now...when my dad gets drunk he cries because he's proud of me, or because the dogs are so cute, or because he's so sad he didnt' spend more time with me as a kid...that's wierd crying...
