Like it or not, I have a cat. This little scamp started showing up in my yard a few months ago, hardly able to walk. She accepted water and food, but was by no means wanting to come near anyone. Well, that all has changed now, and I cannot keep her away, not that I would want to. I call her Isca, long story. She is a beauty, and very smart. Just another of our Father's blessings for us children...................Praise God, now and forever, amen.

I could get lost in those eyes, they are so beautiful. I am so glad this little kitty has adopted you, I love the name you have given her. Pets are such a blessing and a joy, I adore my two dogs--even when they are being brats:rolleyes:

Awwwwwwwww, what a beauty. Her coat is beautiful. Such expressive eyes. She knew a tender heart when she happened on you.

I own one very spoiled tortie named Gracie (adopted her from an animal rescue shelter) and during this winter season have been adopted by two feral kitties. Went so far as to buy them a warm shelter to be out of the cold, wind and wet snow and rain. I feed them daily. They are gaining trust and we "visit" when they come by. The one has gained enough trust to allow me to play paws-a-cake with it. LOL :)

Again, your kitty is so beautiful. Enjoy. :)

Isca is the shortened form of Francisca...................if you did not already know....she is super smart too...

aww, I love tabby's. Their always so affectionate, extremely intelligent, funny generally very loyal and full of character! I know, I have one and grew up with one :)

I love cats. They are the best. They aren't has much work as dogs; you don't have to walk them; you don't have to be home at a certain time to let them out to do their business; you can leave them alone for a couple of days - first cleaning the litter box, a full bowl of food and several bowls of water....soo many advantages. :cool:

My dog thinks he's a cat...licks his paws, purrs, chases birds...a little species identity challenged.

It warms my heart that you took her in and kept her as your own. Some people tend to drive such animals away. I tend to take them in till I can find homes for them since I can not have pets of my own. We all need love, people and animals. I just wish more people could see this.

yeah dude, I got my cat the same way. she just showed up one day in my yard. a word of advice: if she is not, get her fixed. I messed around and did not do so right away and a litter of kittens soon followed.

Here is another, a friend of Isca's. They come around, but I only let them come to the water I put out for them in the back here. There are lots of people who feed the cats in a place on the street, but I want to keep it at one cat. Yes, I do take food to them elsewhere, but usually they are so full they don't want anymore.

Don over it them, please!
Otherwise they will sleep too much and the snow could kill them when sleeping.

(Antonico) It is not usual for it to snow in this part of Spain, but the way man has messed up the spheres of this old earth, it could snow any day........... Thanks for the good advice. Isca has a place to sleep, but she seems to prefer being on the roof. I like her being independent in case I leave this age..........
