Hello. I'm just curious about this topic. So, what is a biblical view on transgenderism, and should their gender identity determine who they should be attracted to? Thanks
The question presupposes that the Bible speaks to gender in addition to one's sex; it does not.
The Bible does not speak specifically to someone who identifies himself or herself as the opposite sex.
The Bible only speaks of males and females. It never speaks to gender directly.
Because the Bible does not speak directly to the idea that people think themselves as the opposite sex,
the second part of the question is unanswerable.
The Bible never tells people to run with their own desires. In fact, the Bible repeatedly tells us to lay our desires before God.
According to Philippians 2:13, God can change the will of humans--therefore, what we want can change; therefore, personal orientations can change. In short, more than a doctor, the living God can change one's life.
12Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,
13for
it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
The question for the Christian is, "How am I letting God be #1 in every area of my life? Am i letting the I AM?"
The irony is, God can do whatever God wants.
