by their fruits guys - Ephesians 4:1-6 = Majors and Minors - now if someone says that you don't have the Holy Spirit - and have to have a separate baptism of the Holy Spirit - now that's a problem

When you have God's approval you do not need anyone else's approval. I rejoice everytime someone calls me false. I am in good company.

I believe if you listen to macarthur, compair what he says to scripture and drop the pentecostal nonsense then you will be ok.

The Holy Spirit is not playing the background in my life. I can play the background. Do you think that is weird? It makes more sense to me.

i'd actually rather listen to tozer, James Macdonald, piper or driscoll and matt chandler- but I appreciate Macarthur - my friend is at his seminary actually served at the Strange Fire conference

Thats why 99 percent of christians swill be lost, they believe this greatest of errors...

here is what Jesus wants
Mat 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.

iLuke 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
Luke 10:28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
Luke 10:29 But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?

no

You have to take holy spirit ALL THE WAY or you are not going....
Don't be silly God doesn't abort His children and we don't take Him, rather He takes us.

That is totally unbiblical all the way!

Rev 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

One person I met says religion is alright as long as it doesnt interfere with your life!

How sad, for the enemy to decieve people

taking holy spirit to extremes is Bad?
only the enemy would ever teach that.
for someone to call themselves a christian have have that grand delusion

You need to read Foxs book of martyrs, for the truth on how religion would be practiced!

huh? are you referring to a post here? i don't see how this corresponds with the subject

The worst belief is that the Spirit is only to give little inklings of feeling. That is unbiblical. He wants to speak, move, and heal through us. Not be so small we confuse Him with our convictions about late night pizza.

It is yes. The Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity, and very powerfull, 99 percent of Christianity could be a religion, and it's truth, and power, could be like " how dare you, to some, as their pride was offended, pride is something that always dosn't want to step down, and have a greater power rule, so weird could be another word for offensive to the carnal mind.

if one Holy Spirit is too weird, what about seven?

John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

(Revelation 1:4)

And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
(Revelation 3:1)

And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
(Revelation 4:5)

And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

(Revelation 5:6)

???

Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
of sin, because they believe not on me;
of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

(John 16:7-14)

i am not seeing where Jesus told us that the Spirit of Truth would heal and move through us. what i am reading is that the Spirit:

  1. convicts of sin
  2. convicts of righteousness
  3. convicts of judgement
  4. teaches the things of Christ, who is Truth

i am convicted that it is the Lord that heals, that through faith; the Lord whose body is the church that moves. the Spirit glorifies Jesus, and does not point to itself. it isn't men that heal, or the Spirit through men, but the Spirit that teaches men to be moved of God and used of Him such that Christ Himself, working with a man as a tool, heals. if ever the glory is not pointed to the Lord Himself, this is not the work of the Holy Ghost.

This always happens when the ministry of the Holy Spirit is mentioned.
First, someone goes to Youtube & finds the most ridiculous videos of churches & televangelists & posts them to give a one-sided view of it.

American Christianity has no problem with the Holy Spirit...but we would appreciate if the babbling in tongues, being slain in the spirit, and random seizure having nutjobs please distance yourself from american Christianity.
This is not okay:

Then, They pick out their favorite hated denominations & mock them, knowing it will cause someone who cares to come unglued & challenge them, derailing the thread & giving them more opportunities to slam the beliefs of others. (See below)

Not sure if you are a baptist or blasphemer of the Holy Spirit.
Not sure if you should be stoned to death for a multitude of false prophecies, or if it's worth the price of rocks.
Deuteronomy 13:5
That prophet or dreamer must be put to death for inciting rebellion against the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery. That prophet or dreamer tried to turn you from the way the LORD your God commanded you to follow. You must purge the evil from among you.
Then, the challenger, right or wrong, is mocked, ridiculed, & called a troll(who are the real trolls?)
Not sure if you've deceived yourself that your a prophet or if you just troll
You should write all your responses in tongues I think it would be hilarious.
The end result is:
*The Op doesn't get a fair shake with his thread
*The thread gets derailed
*The people wanting to talk about it are mocked, ridiculed & judged
*Those reading don't know what to think & leave
*The trolls win
*Last, but not least, The Holy Spirit is blasphemed (mocked)

Now, understand that the whole mess made was planned from the start.......not by the trolls, but by Satan himself. One only needs to look at the whole thing as a carefully planned script & then you can clearly see it as it is.
Satan has won so far. Is that important to you, reader? Then do something about it.
