What would you have done if your parents got divorced, your two best friends moved away, you dog died, your horse died, your grandma died, half your family was trying to change you, your dad quit his job and you had to spend most of you time Alone all in a 2 year span at age 12-14. That's what I had to go through and I became depressed. You can read my whole story under the thread titled drink depression and loss. But what would you have done in my shoes if you hadn't been to church in years.

Can't find your old thread. But I cannot even imagine that kind of pain. I can tell you what I would have done though. I would have been very angry and bitter likely blaming God. Hey whats more even without all of those terrible things having a very normal childhood by the time I was 13 I was rebellious, bitter, and angry blaming God for whatever reason.

I'd go to church and seek the love, empathy and fellowship of others
because you just can't go it alone.
You need your 'real' family.
They are the family you will have for eternity;
of course not all of them,
just the 'real' ones.

Hope you are able to go.

Sorry for posting that unhelpful response Baptistchild. I assumed you were much older now and the pain that you are now experiencing was in the past. So please don't allow bitterness or anger to enter in and spoil your precious soul. It only caused me much sorrow and pain. And lastly God was not to blame. Please do follow the good advice of TrustingHimm777 and seek out support and friendship with other Christians.

I am NOT looking for support. Just what you would have done. This is not what should I do. This is what would you do

i am going through a lot and i look at the God who restored Job double fold for what Job lost in his life.
God Bless:)

I rebelled, fled in worldy ideals/images/idols like music, media, party and promiscuity for years to come. Creating my own God.

Untill finally God, the creator of universe, was sick and tired of waiting in vain for my love, devotion and everlasting praise He deserves above anything or anyone else.

Angry, dissapointed, sadned that i was giving all away so rapidly, amazing creation instead of creator itself (romans1:25), combined with major issues to commit to anyone or anything. Considering all that i wished to love would be destructed anyways, i myself became part of the destruction, so at least i would have power over something on earth, as an unconscious agent of lucifer. #ashamed to say

Shalom and Father Gods blessings for his unimaginable grace and infinite patience upon our lifes and descisions, how awful it must be seeing his creation, his children waist away, caught by the snares of his enemy that roams the surface of this earth, disconecting from his divinity within ourselves through the gift of his Spirit that is within us.

(1 Corinthians 6:19-20 19*Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20*you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.) how little did we knew...

... and thank God for the cross! In the name of Yeshua Hamassiach (Jesus the Messiah), amen
