Brother Hizikyah, the truth is available to all who desire it.

[SUP]9 [/SUP]Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

[SUP]10 [/SUP]And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

[SUP]11[/SUP]And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

.
I've been staying out of this because I've given my thoughts a while back, but in using that verse (and more specifically the chapter because all must be read in context), are you saving those that don't observe the 7th day Sabbath is under the strong delusion caused by arrival of the man of sin, and are thus damned?

I have no authority to say anyone is damned. You are adding to what I said. I have no clue as to how each man will be judged! That is all up to Messiah. I am saying Messiah didn't come to preach that all the commandments are done away with.

Mathew 5;7 Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.

Actually, I didn't add anything to what you said, but you didn't finish the context of the scripture that you quoted.

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Colossians 2:16-23 (NASB) [SUP]16 [/SUP]Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day— [SUP]17 [/SUP]things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ. [SUP]18 [/SUP]Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self-abasement and the worship of the angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, inflated without cause by his fleshly mind, [SUP]19 [/SUP]and not holding fast to the head, from whom the entire body, being supplied and held together by the joints and ligaments, grows with a growth which is from God. [SUP]20 [/SUP]If you have died with Christ to the elementary principles of the world, why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to decrees, such as, [SUP]21 [/SUP]"Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch!" [SUP]22 [/SUP](which all refer to things destined to perish with use)—in accordance with the commandments and teachings of men? [SUP]23 [/SUP]These are matters which have, to be sure, the appearance of wisdom in self-made religion and self-abasement and severe treatment of the body, but are of no value against fleshly indulgence.

Colossians 2:16-23 (NLT)
[SUP]16 [/SUP]So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. [SUP]17 [/SUP]For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality. [SUP]18 [/SUP]Don’t let anyone condemn you by insisting on pious self-denial or the worship of angels, saying they have had visions about these things. Their sinful minds have made them proud, [SUP]19 [/SUP]and they are not connected to Christ, the head of the body. For he holds the whole body together with its joints and ligaments, and it grows as God nourishes it. [SUP]20 [/SUP]You have died with Christ, and he has set you free from the spiritual powers of this world. So why do you keep on following the rules of the world, such as, [SUP]21 [/SUP]“Don’t handle! Don’t taste! Don’t touch!”? [SUP]22 [/SUP]Such rules are mere human teachings about things that deteriorate as we use them. [SUP]23[/SUP]These rules may seem wise because they require strong devotion, pious self-denial, and severe bodily discipline. But they provide no help in conquering a person’s evil desires.

This is Paul telling his people not to be worried about being judged because they are keeping the Sabbath and following the high holy days and not eating unclean foods. You know that, right?

Actually, I didn't add anything to what you said, but you didn't finish the context of the scripture that you quoted.

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Thank you, that is the next verse, however, my point was "delusion", to explore the meaning.

Exodus 31:15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath [seventh day] of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
Exodus 31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath [seventh day], to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

I don't know about eternal damnation for it. I know that the words above came out of Yahweh's mouth, and he says it is a perpetual covenant (legally binding agreement.)

This is Paul telling his people not to be worried about being judged because they are keeping the Sabbath and following the high holy days and not eating unclean foods. You know that, right?

You are floggin a deceased equine here. I have beaten that one into the ground and it still is thrown up as a justification for not keeping the Sabbath and the Feast Days.

oooops

now tell me again why you keep sunday?
give me a bible verse

I am not saying I believe this and am only posting what I have been told by individuals that will say Sunday is the day...

1. The disciples were commanded to (set aside offerings) on the first day of the week
2. Jesus was resurrected the first day of the week

I think the above two is why most churches and so called churches meet on Sunday.

Again I stress the first line of this post!

As long as Genesis 2:2 still holds true is a good enough reason for me to choose that day for rest.
And as far as I know no where in the bible said to be saved I must not rest on that day.
And yes I take Sundays and any other statutory holidays the government gives me.
And yes I take any paid holiday my boss gives me.

How does one, either Jew or Gentile, pollute or defile the Sabbath? If they do pollute or defile the Sabbath, what must be done to that polluter of the Sabbath? In your estimation, is a majority of the NT church responsible for polluting and defiling the Sabbath?

Has not the NT believer, as a member of Christ's body, flesh and bones (Eph 5:30) already entered into His rest through Christ by ceasing from his own labors of obtaining righteousness through the law and finding rest for his soul through the finished work of Christ by faith?

Polluting the Sabbath is doing anything Yahweh would not want on that day.

And seeing as the Sabbath is a prophetic shadow picture of the 1000 yr regin of Messiah, mo, none have entered into it yet.

Thing is just because the mainstream is to say Sabbath is Sunday or evetday does not make it right friend, there is no command in Scripture for these changes. It does say evil will think to change the appointed times:

Daniyl 7:25, "And he will speak great words against Yahweh, and will wear out; mentally attack to cause to fall away, the saints of Yahweh, and think to change times and Laws..."

"Times" is word # 2166 - Hebrew Word Study (Transliteration-Pronunciation Etymology & Grammar - 1) a set time, time, season

Colossians 2 is frequently used as a witness against Sabbath and Feast days, I will give my stance on this passage from the start:

Colossians 2:13-23, " 13 You were dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh. He made you alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14 wiping out the handwriting in ordinances which was against us; and he has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross; 15 having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. 16 Let no one therefore judge you in eating, or in drinking, or with respect to a feast day or a new moon or a Sabbath day, 17 which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Messiah’s. 18 Let no one rob you of your prize by a voluntary humility and worshiping of the angels, dwelling in the things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, 19 and not holding firmly to the Head, from whom all the body, being supplied and knit together through the joints and ligaments, grows with God’s growth. 20 If you died with Messiah from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances, 21 “Don’t handle, nor taste, nor touch” 22 (all of which perish with use), according to the precepts and doctrines of men? 23 Which things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imposed worship, and humility, and severity to the body; but aren’t of any value against the indulgence of the flesh. "

Feasts that Yahweh says should be kept for all generations are promoted in the NT:

1 Corinthians 5:7-8, "Therefore, purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new batch, since you are unleavened. For truly Yahshua our Passover was sacrificed for us. Therefore, let us keep the Feast (1858), not with bold leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth."

Leviticus 23:2, "Speak to the children of Israyl, and say to them; Concerning the Feasts of Yahweh, which you shall proclaim to be Holy Convocations; these are My Feasts."

Most resources call the ,"Jewish" Feasts, but Yahweh calls them His Feasts, they are not for Jews only.

Exodus 12:48-49, "And when a stranger lives among you and wants to sacrifice the Passover to Yahweh, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near, and sacrifice it; and he shall be as a native of the land. But no uncircumcised person shall eat of it. One Law shall be for the nativeborn and for the stranger who dwells among you."

Numbers 15:15-16, "One ordinance shall be for you of the congregation, and for the stranger who sojourns with you, as an ordinance forever throughout your generations. 13 You were dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh. He made you alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,

14 wiping out the handwriting in ordinances which was against us; and he has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross;

15 having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

16 Let no one therefore judge you in eating, or in drinking, or with respect to a feast day or a new moon or a Sabbath day,

17 which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Messiah’s.

18 Let no one rob you of your prize by a voluntary humility and worshiping of the angels, dwelling in the things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

19 and not holding firmly to the Head, from whom all the body, being supplied and knit together through the joints and ligaments, grows with God’s growth.

20 If you died with Messiah from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances,

So he is saying if your dead to the world why would you subject yourself to its (the worlds) ordinances. To think he is saying if your dead to the world then why would you subject yourself to Yahweh"s/Yahshua's Commandments would make no sense, but he explains it further.

21 “Don’t handle, nor taste, nor touch”

the pharisees had a law in which you could not eat meat and cheese togather, or even within 4 houhs of eachother. Now this is not in Yahweh's Law even, Yahweh's Law says dont boil a goat in its mothers milk (3 times) (the local pagans had this as a religious practice Yahweh did not want His people to partake in these evil pagan practices) the pharisees using something called "midrashic interpretation" the pharisees looked at it and said well since it says this three times it must meant three different things. SO THEY MADE UP THEIR OWN LAW, that was completely disconnected from Scripture and enforced it as from Yahweh.

22 (all of which perish with use), according to the precepts and doctrines of men?

So here very clearly he states "the commandments of men", now if you read from 16-20 you see he stays on topic, and 20 says basically if your dead to the world why do what the world tells you, so we can see he is still on this topic from v16. In this verse 22, he says "which are all for destruction", how does Sabbath lead to destruction and it would also have to be a "commandment of men" if there is ant commandment that is the farthest thing possible from being a "commandment of men" it is the Sabbath, it was from creation and it shows the AUTHORITY of the Creator, the mark of the Creator. Also tying a "commandment of men" to destruction Romans 8:13, "For if you live according to the commandments of men, you will die; but if, through the Spirit, you put to death; put an end to, the evildoing of mankind, you will live."

23 Which things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imposed worship, and humility, and severity to the body; but aren’t of any value against the indulgence of the flesh.

Pleasing of the pharisees by following the talmud. v22 for context = "after the commands and teachings of men"

you see the pharisees would have a problem if you did things according to Yahweh's instruction and not their ORAL LAW, this is shown in MATT 15, 23, mark 7:7-9, etc

If you kept the Sabbath NOT according to the Talmud but according to the Scriptures the Pharisees would have a problem.

Matt 12:10 & 12, "And, behold, there was a man who had a withered hand. Then they asked
Him, saying; Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath Days?--so that they might accuse Him."
"And how much more valuable is a man than a sheep? Therefore, it is Lawful to do righteousness on the Sabbath."

The "Rabbis" also made their own holidays, such as Rosh hashanna and more. They also had their own day and way of "celebrating" Yahweh's Feast Days as opposed to what Yahweh said. When they left babylon they even changed the names of the moons (months), and rosh hashanna even changes the time of the new year, commandment and ordinances of men. the calendar Yahweh instuted is Yahweh's calendar, the one who created it created the heavens and the earth. Our current calendar is the gregorian calendar, which goes back to the bablonian calendar. Yahweh said the days end and begin at sunset, not the "Rabbis."

% made up "feast days" the Pharisees may had, brought you to trial, beat, imprisoned, or even killed you for not honoring. The Talmud tells a story of another "Rabbi" disagreeing and wanting to follow the Scriptures, and the head Pharisees makes then man, on threat of death appear in public on a Scriptual Feast Day in a way that the man cant honor Yahweh, thus commanding him to disobey Yahweh.

Rosh Hashanah (New Year)
Rosh Hashanah occurs on the first and second days of Tishri (the 7th moon or month, Yahweh's year starts in the 1st month). In Hebrew, Rosh Hashanah means, literally, "head of the year" or "first of the year." Rosh Hashanah is commonly known as the Jewish New Year.

How does the year start in the 7th month? According to the Scriptures and Yahweh;s calendar the year starts in the 1st month, Abib.

Chanukkah
On the 25th of Kislev are the days of Chanukkah, which are eight... these were appointed a Festival with Hallel [prayers of praise] and thanksgiving. -Shabbat 21b, Babylonian Talmud

Tu B'Shevat
There are four new years... the first of Shevat is the new year for trees according to the ruling of Beit Shammai; Beit Hillel, however, places it on the fifteenth of that month. -Mishnah Rosh Hashanah 1:1

Purim
Is one of the most joyous and fun holidays on the Jewish calendar. It commemorates a time when the Jewish people living in Persia were saved from extermination.

Tisha B'Av
Five misfortunes befell our fathers ... on the ninth of Av. ...On the ninth of Av it was decreed that our fathers should not enter the [Promised] Land, the Temple was destroyed the first and second time, Bethar was captured and the city [Jerusalem] was ploughed up. -Mishnah Ta'anit 4:6

1 Corinthians 15:50-54, "Now I say this brothers: that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of Yahweh; neither does corruption inherit incorruption.Behold, I show you a secret truth: we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed--In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet (word #G4536). For the trumpet will sound (word #G4537), and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible will have put on incorruption, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will be brought to pass the saying that is written: Death is swallowed up in victory."

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, "For Yahshua Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the malak gadol, and with the trumpet (word #G4536) of Yahweh. And the dead in Messiah will be raised first, Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet Yahshua in the air; and so will we ever be with Yahshua."

Short Definition: a trumpet
Definition: a trumpet, the sound of a trumpet
Word Origin - from salpizó

4537 - salpizó

Leviticus 23:4, "These are the Feasts (word #H4150) of Yahweh, His Holy Convocations, which you shall proclaim in their seasons."

4150 - moed
moed: appointed time, place, or meeting
Original Word: מוֹעֵד
Part of Speech: Noun Masculine
Transliteration: moed
Phonetic Spelling: (mo-ade')
Short Definition: meeting

The question is are the Sabbaths and Feasts days "precepts and doctrines of men?"

(v22 (all of which perish with use), according to the precepts and doctrines of men?)

Clear context shows this is not about "you can judge me for ignoring Yahweh's command." Its about the religious leaders of that time had their own non-Scriptual days and way to "keep" these Commandments (SOUNDS JUST LIKE TODAY HUH?) and a person could be taken to court if they were not "kept" according to the man made law.

YaHWeH is not a lier, His Word stands forever!! YaHshua paid the blood covenant price so we could be reconciled and receive the truth and follow Him who knew no sin, and with the comforter of Spirit residing in us have power to follow His commands.

The Word must be received with a desire to know Truth. The above verse means to me, that all have been offered the truth, for it must be offered in order to receive it or reject it. If we earnestly seek the truth, search the scriptures like the Bereans did, we will find the Truth that will help us endure to the end.

If we reject the truth, if we are comfortable with what we think is truth without searching and studying all the scriptures, we will be satisfied to follow the crowd instead of finding that narrow way. Then, as scriptures say, Almighty will send us strong delusion. If you study just what that word means, delusion, as used in this verse, it creates a picture of being sent home and comfortable with our familiar surroundings.

Daily, we must repent for any lie we have believed, ask for wisdom, renew our minds.

Why fight against keeping the Sabbath? Nowhere in the Word does it say the Sabbath Day rest was changed, except by the adversary. A quick study of history tells us exactly when that happened, for anyone who sincerely wants truth. The adversary does not try and hide it, no, quite the opposite, he brags about it, and he has many followers who are comfortable to do so.

Wow, great post.

It certainly occurs to me that in judgement, "I was too busy", "but my pastor said", "I didnt care enough to study it myself" will not cut it.

Hosheyah 4:6, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you will be no priest to Me. Because you have forgotten the Law of Yahweh, I will also forget your children."

Isayah 66:17, "They who sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens, following after the 1apriest in the midst of those who eat swine's flesh, that which is offered to gods and the rodent--will be consumed together: says Yahweh." 22-23, "For as the new heavens and the new earth which I will make will remain before Me, says Yahweh: so will your seed and your name remain. And it will come to pass that from one New Moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, all flesh will come to worship before Me, says Yahweh."

Just to reply, because there are common points made.

1. Setting aside offerings does not equate Yahweh making a day holy.

2. Did Messiah even resurrect on Sunday? In this video Scripture is used to show when Messiah did resurrect.

hahahaha would that be beatin a dead horse? HAH I have a few (wild) horses that might go the way of the dodo if they keep eating the food plots I have planted for deer and turkey! HAH NO PETA RESPONSES NEEDED AS I AM JOKING...somewhat!

Resurrection - YouTube

Yeah I know and don't really know about the video...it does say the first day of the week when the women went to the tomb, when Jesus (ana-stasis) as found in...Matthew 28:1, Mark 16:9, Luke 24:1

Unless the text is corrupt it seems probable from what is said that he stood again the first day of the week.

The collection of the saints was commanded on the first day of the week..1st Corinthians 16:1-3

I agree with your number 1 above, but can an inference be drawn from the fact that it would be hard to collect an offering from the assembly on the first day of the week if they were not assembled together?

Anyway, like I said above, these are the arguments that I have heard concerning Sunday as the day of worship...

You wrote: "it does say the first day of the week when the women went to the tomb"

Not when Messiah resurrected, but "went to the tomb"

Why did Messiah say for the woman not to touch Him, but the man could touch Him a bit later on?

Firstfruits?
