This is Paul telling his people not to be worried about being judged because they are keeping the Sabbath and following the high holy days and not eating unclean foods. You know that, right?

From The Bible knowledge Commentary:
2:15-17. By fulfilling the demands of the Law, Christ disarmed the demonic powers and authorities (cf. 1:16; 2:10), triumphing over them (cf. 2 Cor. 2:14). As a result believers are delivered from these evil powers which inspire legalistic rules about foods and festivals. No one should judge you by what you eat or drink because Christians are free from the Law’s legalistic requirements (such as those in Lev. 11; 17; Deut. 14). God does not condemn those who eat everything (Rom. 14:1-4). In fact, God says that all foods may be eaten since they were “created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth” (1 Tim. 4:3). The teaching that forbids this, Paul wrote, is “taught by demons” (1 Tim. 4:1) whom Christ has disarmed (Col. 2:15). This liberation of believers pertains also to festivals such as a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath Day (cf. Gal. 4:10). Those who would bring Christians under the bondage of the Law make artificial distinctions between the “ceremonial” and “moral” law, and so they say the Sabbath has not passed away. That this is false can be seen from the following: (1) The Sabbath command is the only one of the Ten Commandments not repeated in the New Testament. (2) The early believers, following Christ’s resurrection and appearance on Sunday (Mark 16:1; John 20:1), met on Sundays (Acts 20:7; 1 Cor. 16:2). (3) The Bible nowhere distinguishes between the so-called “moral” and “ceremonial” laws (this distinction was not made before the 13th century a.d.) (4) This Colossian passage explicitly condemns those who command Sabbath obedience. (5) As Paul put it, the Old Testament Law (including the Sabbath) was only a shadow of the things that were to come. The reality or “substance” (sōma, lit., “body”), however, is to be found in Christ (cf. Heb. 8:5; 10:1). What the Old Testament foreshadowed, Christ fulfilled (cf. Matt. 5:17; Rom. 8:3-4). A “shadow” (skia) is only an image cast by an object which represents its form. Once one finds Christ, he no longer needs to follow the old shadow.

Now, it you want to make your claim of keeping the sabbath, you need to look at this first.

The year 2014, Gregorian calendar (ours) is the year 5774 on the Jewish calendar.

From Wikipedia:
Because of the roughly eleven-day difference between twelve lunar months and one solar year, the length of the Hebrew calendar year varies in the repeating 19-year Metonic cycle of 235 lunar months, with the intercalary month added according to defined rules every two or three years, for a total of seven times per 19 years. Even with this intercalation, the average Hebrew calendar year is longer by about 6 minutes and 25+25/57 seconds than the current mean solar year, so that every 224 years, the Hebrew calendar will fall a day behind the current mean solar year; and about every 231 years it will fall a day behind the Gregorian calendar year.

Anyone trying to keep the Sabbath on the Gregorian calendar isn't keeping it at all! One would have to take off of work in the middle of the week to keep it!
All laws & prophecies of the OT hinge on the Jewish calendar. Therefore, those fussing about changing from Saturday to Sunday is a "changing of times" is totally unaware it was changed already by the changing of the calendars! If Sunday-goers are sinning, so are the sabbath-keepers of the Gregorian calendar!

Then there's the rest of the laws concerning the Sabbath (seventh) day:

1. No work done at all (Ex. 20: 10; Lev. 23: 3; Jer. 17:21-22). No watering the lawn, no working in the yard, no hobbies, no surfing, no fixing flat tires, etc. By law if a person did not stop all types of activity in honor of the Sabbath, he was breaking the law. In Numbers 15:32-36 a man was caught collecting sticks on the Sabbath, and he was stoned to death.
2 No kindling of a fire (Ex. 35:3). No fellowship cookouts or barbecues. You can't go into a restaurant and get a hamburger that's been flame broiled, you can't cook eggs, or pancakes in the morning because you'd be kindling a fire for cooking. To drive a car would be to "kindle a fire" In the combustion chamber of your engine.
3. No traveling at all (Ex. 16:29). Later the Jews added to this law, allowing only a half mile of travel on the Sabbath which we see observed in the NT. But the pure law says "stay at home." Actually, If you kept this part of the law, you could not travel to your church gathering unless it was less than one-quarter mile away from home. If you had an emergency you could not drive to the hospital.
4. No trading (Amos 8:5). If you happened to need gas to get to church service, you could not "trade" money for gasoline. You would not be allowed to buy a cassette tape of that morning's message or a book at the store. There is to be No exchanging of money for goods. If you worked with stocks and you needed to sell you couldn’t.
5. No marketing (Neh. 10:31; 13:15,19). Make sure you do no shopping whatsoever. You can't buy any ice cream for dessert after dinner or anything else. If you run out of food or drink at home you can’t go out to purchase any, you can’t even by a stick of gum.
6. A holy assembly with double the daily offering along with the other offerings. In other words, you are to give twice as much on the Sabbath (Num. 28:9).Do we practiced this today In compliance with Old Testament law. Do Sabbatarian's really practice the law? I have yet to see people go to Shabbat and give twice as much each week.
7. New showbread In the holy place (Lev. 24:8). Of course this cannot be done today since there is no temple, so this part of the Sabbath cannot be followed by the church. The fact Is the Sabbath was not made for the gentiles, but for the Jews and their generations (Ex. 31:12-17). It's a law given between God and the Jews.
8.The last part of the requirements for keeping the Sabbath day law Is the penalty for breaking It. DEATH

So, which of you are keeping the Shabbat of the 10 commandments?

Stephen63,
1. Sabbath keeping is not taught by demons.
2. Sabbath keeping is taught by Christ - do you really not see that in NT?
3. Is anyone able to keep the other 9 commandments perfectly by the letter?

For the Christian every day is the Sabbath.

Exo 20:9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
Exo 20:10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.

When do you work?

Answer here. Everyone who is in Christ have rested from their labor to please God by works. The work of salvation is complete. Christ is our Sabbath

Hebrews 4:7
God again set a certain day, calling it “Today.” This he did when a long time later he spoke through David, as in the passage already quoted:

“Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts.”

8 For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. 9 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; 10 for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his.

What I see is Jesus teaching the Law because up till His death/burial/ resurrection everyone was still under the old covenant. Except the gospels, keeping the sabbath is never mentioned in the NT, nor taught, with exception to Paul's teaching that it's a shadow of things to come, & that was Christ.

The Shabbat isn't being kept at all except maybe by some orthadox jews, & even then it must be kept in the heart as well as the letter.

Moreover, there's no difference between moral law & ceremonial law in the OT. Law is law.

Amen, bro!

Which day? Every day?

Heb 4:4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: "AND GOD RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORKS";

We are not speaking of some ethereal, philosophical dream here, we are talking about the seventh day being the picture of the Millenium.

Heb 4:9 Therefore remains a keeping of a sabbath for the people of the God. - Diaglott

Actually, Sabbath keeping is mentioned.

I always find it interesting that these discussions never come up about the sixth Commandment, seventh, first, third, tenth, etc. The only one that people fight against is the fourth one, the sign...

Exo 31:17 It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.' "

And who is Israel today?

The 144,000 like me!

Rev 7:4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed:
and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand
of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

Ok john832 I can see we will not agree here. Enjoy your sabbath, and I will enjoy my freedom in Christ.
Galatians five is an interesting read. Though the main controversy was circumcision the point made is, if one seeks to be justified by keeping the law in any way, he is bound to keep the whole law.

You dont have to rest with God if you don't want to...
In fact you have to desire it with all your heart and soul and mind

Keeping the Sabbath is not being justifiec by the law

we are justified by the blood of Jesus
Forgiven in past sins

keeping the law is the work of the holy spirit

if you are not keeping the law you do not have the holy spirit you have another spirit.

There is no freedom in christ to break the law ...

to be sanctified means to walk in his covenant
his covenant is to
keep his words and he will be my God
it is conditional

it is a covenenat
the conditions of the covenant is to walk according to his word.
any other way is false gospel

2 Th 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Gal 5:7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
Gal 5:8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.
Gal 5:9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
Gal 5:10 I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that keep on breaking the ten commandments.

Are Jesus teachings not part of NT?
Do you not consider the four gospels NT?
Are Christians not to obey anything not mentioned in the last 23 books?

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they
that keep the commandments of God,
and the faith of Jesus.

The gospel that preaches just the faith of Jesus has removed some words from Revelation
they have removed "that keep the commandments of God, and"

what will happen to those with the easy gospel message that removed the commandments from the book of revelation?

Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy,
God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city,
and from the things which are written in this book.

not a good idea to preach against the commandment COVENANT with God

the whole bible is the word of God that is what Jesus quoted from daily

here is from the four GOSPELS

(Mat 5:19 KJV) Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

(Mat 15:9 KJV) But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

(Mat 19:17 KJV) And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

(Mat 22:40 KJV) On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

(Mark 7:7 KJV) Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

(Mark 10:19 KJV) Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.

(Mark 12:29 KJV) And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

(Luke 1:6 KJV) And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

(Luke 18:20 KJV) Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

(John 14:15 KJV) If ye love me, keep my commandments.

(John 14:21 KJV) He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

(John 15:10 KJV) If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

Why don't you believe the four gospels?

they were written AFTER Jesus went to heaven
the four gospels say salvation is conditional/.

John who wrote one of the gospels
wrot a book called the revelation of JESUS

it says a bad man of sin would come and preach a new gospel to the world and kill all gods commandment keepers...
why do you want to join him?

Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

why you want to join his sied, the commandment breaking side?

your going to loose you know.

Lets do something fun for a change how about we change the word to enforce what we want the word to say.

I will place the ridiculous changes next to the true Word (in parentheses) to prove a point.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith (and keeping the Sabbath), and that not of yourselves;it is the gift of God,

John 5:24 Verily verily I say unto you,He that hears My word and believes on Him that sent Me, (and keeps the Sabbath) has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation but has passed from death to life.
Etc. etc.
