We had no snow last winter to speak of and this winter it looks like one day of it is it. Literally, it snowed for a few hours, to about 6 inches, and, disappeared within about 24 hours. Kind of odd, but, you know, we should be thankful to God for all things so I thanked Him for the one day of 'sunshine, so to speak, and, told Him piddy really enjoyed it's presence and looking forward to an early
Spring. It's around 50 now, sunny, and, feels like Spring. :)

I've never taken much stock in that global warming thing, just not me, but, I do think God plays mind games with the scientists who THINK they are guessing the 'evolution' of our weather patterns, when we ALL know that creation is the answer and God creates the weather. This is hard for me to believe, but, He is complete control, even of the weather, all over the world, all the different climates. Fascinating, really. when I go to think about it, and, the more I think about it, 'miraculous' is the perfect word choice :)

Interesting. I googled for more info, but I don't understand how the movie gets put into Skype.

a) Do you put the movie on a DVD player and then
Skype cam the DVD player?
b) If you insert the DVD into the computer, how will the other person see what's on your computer screen?

Maybe one person live streams on Netflix/Amazon/Whatever, then with screen sharing in Skype you see what's being streamed?

So, you're saying Skype A and Skype B sign-up for Netflix to watch the same movie? Does that mean that Netflix has Skype capability?

All I can image the Skype screen and the video screen, but I don't see how Netflix would send a movie to Skype. Wouldn't Netflix sending to my computer?

There are many ways to do it as Still waters said yes screen sharing is always the best option.

There are a number of ways really however I prefer screen sharing gotta love technology.

No worries LittleC, we all comes in a package. Just let God choose for you and you two will be just PERFECT for each other!! :)

If I marry, God's going to have to have someone really special to put up with me. lol

I mean, I'm not an unpleasant person to be with. That's not it. lol I'm going to have to have someone who'll be able to deal with me whenever I have a nosebleed. Now I don't have them very often. When I do, though, man. I'm a wreck. I had one about an hour ago...and I went into a small panic attack and got so nauseous that I got sick to my stomach. Yeah.

There is an option that allows the other person to see your screen as if it were their own, that is how this method works, you share your screen with them so you can both watch the movie at once.

I do fight off loneliness quite often. Sometimes I wish I could fill that with a guy (emphasis on the word sometimes. 90-95% of the time I'm content with where I am as far as being single goes). Especially since I'm getting older. By this age, my oldest sister already had a sort-of boyfriend, then not too long after he was gone she got a real boyfriend (then a year later they broke up).

Maybe some people are just in love with the concept of falling in love. And I think sometimes, I fall prey to that.
lil_C this is for you:

F. Scott Fitzgerald once wrote "And in the end we were all just humans. Drunk on the idea that love, only love, could heal our brokenness."

I like to think that he wrote is true and I shared this quote with you because I believe you can relate to this feeling so can I.

It wasn't dumb Rachel. That was your way to deal with the situation after he did put you on the spot. You did good.

If it was me for example, I would have turned to him right away saying "No, I'm listening to your interesting ideas before I make my comment on them" And then choose anything he said n' say "That was interesting etc. etc." n' start talking about what he said.

I mean bottom line, when someone puts you on the spot, put the ball back in their court. Don't take it. ;)

Yesterday the regional president manager came to each of the branches to discuss things with us. After he talked to my branch, he looked over at me and said, "Any thoughts? You're being very quiet, and that scares me a bit." He was being facetious, I wasn't actually scaring him, but maybe my quietness was exacerbated by the fact that my other coworker was quite vocal about her thoughts. I asked a few questions that I already knew the answer to just to say something, so then instead of coming off quiet, I probably came off as dumb .

Sigh. I shouldn't have conformed and just said, "I'm listening but I understand." I don't know if I should have to make an excuse for my quietness when that's kind of just who I am...

Monica, I would do chocolate fondue n' dipping strawberries n' marshmallows in the chocolate, but not with a friend!! ;) So you are on the right track sis. :p

sort of. i'm cooking dinner for a pal. pot roast and apple pie. and then after, if i'm really lucky, we'll watch some super sappy, big-budget love story.

oh, and i think i'm going to have to break down and buy more of those chocolate covered strawberries. i'd be rather curious to see the demo data on who actually is buying those.

so how about you, dub-dub? (which is my nickname for you, btw)

We have it here too iTOREtheSKY. Except that I have a bunch of friends over for Valentines day and guess what else? Some of them are not single. All coming for a Catan game n' snacks n' a movie!!

Never had any pals cook me dinner on Valentine's Day. What planet is this that your people come from Monica?:)

Monica, TRUST me, don't even get that movie Love Actually. It is not romantic at all. And it is SO inappropriate. I was shocked n' turned it off right away. Didn't even continue the first 20 minutes of it!! SO out of line!!!

actually, i was being facecious about the romance film. but believe it or not, i've never seen Love Actually. : )

i think i was boycotting romance films when it came out. but i'll have to check it on your recommendation.

and the reality, is, i will probably end up in a sugar daze, zoning out (or passing out) while watching a documentary called The Genetic Evolution of the Pond Scum.

Here's an advice form your older sister LittleC, be content with your own life by yourself. Don't expect a boyfriend would add anything to you. Or don't ask him to fulfill your loneliness or to fulfill anything n' he shouldn't ask you either. It's not fair for either one of you. God is the ONLY one who fulfills our needs. The boyfriend should be just a bonus. :)

I ask myself everyday in winter in this Canada dry country saying "What happened to global warming??!!!"

So a few years ago I was supposed to be freaked out because the winters were warmer, now I'm supposed to be freaked out because winters are actually like winter.

Can the "scientists" please make up their minds?

How nice it is to say thank God at all times. Actually it's SO nice watching snow fall. And when everything is just white, it looks so beautiful. Thank God for His beautiful creation. :) N' it's a lot of fun for a snow ball fight!! I'd say I LOVE the look of the snow, but not the feel of it!! :)

You are right Green. I was saying the same thing in an earlier post about God's detailed creation. When you think about the details of God's creation including the weather and what have you, go get yourself a 1500 pieces puzzle n' see how hard it is to put it together. At that point you'll realize that you can't even imagine how God controls all of these details. It's WAY bigger than we can even think!!! Like you said, it's a miracle FOR US But for God, He does it in a blink of an eye.... :)
