There were a few reasons for the Lord's manifestation.
1) to be baptized for those who couldn't be
2) to atone for our sins
3) to take away our excuse to say we can't keep the law.

Jesus says He's a fulfillment of the law.
Meaning He wouldn't fail in any area of it.

Let me ask you this, if God's law of liberty could be altered or changed
why did Jesus need to die for us. Why not say" you know what that law we setup it's too hard for them."
"Let's just make a little tweak in the Law"

God's law is ever-binding.
It is written that it would be easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for even one tittle (one jot one little marking)to be changed.

It's mind-blowing how so many people fall for Satan's deception, but the bible foretold it( Daniel 7:25)

Might I add up until the time of Constantine you would have been still observing the 7th day sabbath.

The roman church in their catechisms openly admits that there's no biblical reference for 1st day observance.
It's their mark and that they changed it as proof of their ecclesiastically power as the Mother church and
as the acting power of God on earth.

Research it, It's not very hard to find.

Thank you for this view as you are led to and in truth, appreciated, growing up in God's amazing Mercy to us all, wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is what my response is:
Psalm 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

You are encouraged to worship the Lord every day but you will not find another day that is blessed, hallowed, a sign between us and God, sanctified and made for us other than the 7th day Sabbath that God instituted back at creation. Love in Christ.

Where in Scripture does it state that the Sabbath is Friday night to Saturday night sundown. I knoiw it as traditional and the God blessed the seventh day, but where does it say Friday night to Saturday night?
Anyone

the 7th day sabbath ... with the changing of calendars through out history who can be sure what day is the 7th day? Those who observe the seventh day as the sabbath will tell you the week has not changed since Adam, which I find amusing to say the least. If some want to make one day special to honor God and observe rituals and regulations that in their hearts are honoring toward God, then I say: God bless them. But I do not believe we have to become jewish to worship God correctly and follow what they have determined to be the seventh day. In Christ there is neither jew or greek, bond or free, male or female. I believe all christians are commanded to take a day of rest in honor of God our creator. I do not think less of those who honor God on what they call the seventh day, any more than do I think those who consider the first day of the week their sabbath to be better.
I do take exception to those who say I worship a 'heathen' god for not observing their rules and regulations, and I find such that condemn others for not following their doctrines and traditions to be antichrist.
My own faith tradition has a long history of condemning those who refuse to obey their doctrines and tradition, executing countless humans for refusing to submit to their laws and regulations. Warring and conquering 'heathens' and forcing them to submit to their traditions or face death. Was this not done in the spirit of antichrist? That the Catholic Church apologizes and claims repentance while still professing to be inerrant is a sin the Church has yet to fully repent from. Any faith tradition that condemns others for not following their tradition is just as guilty of sin as the Catholic Church. Until we as christians fully repent of this hatred and evilness one toward another we will continue to bear false witness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

May we love God and love one another, and end this hatred and condemnation, it is anathema.

Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy, Lord have mercy.

John 6:44No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Has God revealed to you "to do the Sabbath day?

Numbers 15:28And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the Lord, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.

Hebrews 10:26

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

Really you did not answer the ? I asked it is a yes or no answer?
Anyway, is your obedience perfect in following the ten Commandments or better than that do you always love as God has and does in Mercy?
Is it not true if we break one commandment it is the same as breaking all? Therefore your flesh, my flesh and alkl flesh will never please God, except one and the one is Christ is it not?
So we can go on with our bad selves and worship in the flesh as it seems to be being claimed when:
Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
[h=3]Romans 8:9-11[/h]Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

[SUP]9 [/SUP]But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. [SUP]10 [/SUP]And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. [SUP]11 [/SUP]But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

I quit my self will worshp, reckon me dead to flesh sin and alive to God in Spireit where toiday is the onlky way Gpod can be worshiped continuously
John 4:23-24
Thanks Sabbath rest is Christ in eternity alive in the Spirit from God, mdead to flesh even though flesh is alive, yet not by me anymore but by God

I thought God asked the Hebrews to obey the 10 commandments?

Yes its purpose to show them to not be perfect and in need of God, And the predcictions of Christ's coming, came and did the redemption that was needed
Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God
Ephesians 2:16 and that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
Colossians 1:20 and, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

I will never meet all of God's will. I do know that I have accepted Jesus Christ as my saviour and try as best as I can to be like Him. I fail everyday in my efforts. Who here has never failed?

Praying you see then beyond your flesh since you see your flesh can never please God. Turning now to Christ in trust for God to do through you what he did through Christ while Christ was here fulfilling the first testament of his coming to redeem us in the Spirit, and us reckoning ourselves now dead to flesh, trusting we are still held alive b God through Son's perfect work for us
Romans 6:1-11 good realization if God permits, praying God shows you this transformation from flesh to Spirit of God and thus walk as Christ walked in 100% dependence on Father to do the leading, this is for us to today, since he is and has poured out his Spirit on all flesh. Time to walk in Faith ( belief) and receive this, being dead to flesh and alive to God. when this has taken place you are in the Sabbath 24/7 at rest

What I learned about the OT was that when God said it, He meant it. He didn't variate from it.
Numbers 15:32-36 (KJV) [SUP]32 [/SUP]And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day. [SUP]33 [/SUP]And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation. [SUP]34 [/SUP]And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him. [SUP]35 [/SUP]And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp. [SUP]36 [/SUP]And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses.

Just a thought that came to me as I read you wrote here.
Jesus died outside the camp too, right whipped, beaten, scourged and nailed to the tree in the form of the cross or stake, whichever, crucified for us as a sinner and yet was taken outside the camp and killed by self righteous people that obey yhe Sabbath and the laws as if they are perfect when no one is of the flesh outside of Christ that is
Christ is my Sabbath rest 24/7, thanks Father

Establish the Law learning all righteousness through scripture all that pleases God not after a carnal state of mind but a true form of Eternity ..

And that be:
Luke 6:32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.

Unconditional love can no flesh do, and is why one needs to be born again in the Spirit of God by the resurrected Christ, not the dead Christ. A gift from Father to us that believe it is finished for us by Christ, then we walk as he did in Faith unto Father as Christ did in Christ's flesh. Is not the same Holy Spirit sent to us the same Holy Spirit that led Christ?

Was Jesus the last blood sacrifice God will accept?

And therefore there is no more forgiveness to be given from God's standpoint, "it is finished"
John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Colossians 1:22 in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

I follow the 4th commandment as God wrote. I don't do a lot of what you listed as it can be done ahead on Friday. Common sense has to be used. God said if the ox is in the ditch you would not leave it there to suffer. People try to make the Sabbath much harder to observe than God's instructions were. 10 simple commandments from God and you would think the sky was falling to try to honor God's request. Which can only be done through Christ Jesus but no one ever hears what I am saying or what God was asking.

Which Jesus when here before the cross showed no flesh can be perfect and in need of perfection, which is only found in Christ, after the cross which includes the resurrected Christ for us by Faith to be alive now in Spirit and dead to flesh will

Study to show thyself approved study before speaking

Ask: for the below verses to be done in each of us

[h=3]Matthew 10:16-20[/h]Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

[SUP]16 [/SUP]Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. [SUP]17 [/SUP]But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; [SUP]18 [/SUP]and ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. [SUP]19 [/SUP]But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. [SUP]20 [/SUP]For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

I don't think the priesthood being changed says the law is done away with. When it is replaced by Christ's law, we must look to Christ to find out what that law is. There are lots of verses explaining that, surely everyone here has read them. Written law is to remain, but we are not only to do it but we are to discipline our minds according to law, too. Don't murder, for instance, is advanced to include not calling someone a fool.

In truth love is: God and neighbor which is the fulfillment of all Law
This is what is given to us in the Spirit through the final sacrifice of Chirst and the last shedding of blood to clear our consciences from sin, by love
[h=3]Hebrews 7:11-12[/h]Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

[SUP]11 [/SUP]If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? [SUP]12 [/SUP]For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

I think you are adding to what Jesus was talking about. You are saying it is 'moral practices' when Christ was saying love must enter in to the day God made holy. If we do something unloving, it is not honoring the holy day.

"I desire compassion, and not a sacrifice"

This is a rebuke against external practices divided from moral righteousness. If that's adding to scripture, then what do you believe this passage means? Karraster gave commentary on it as well. That's why Jesus healed on the Sabbath, that's why David's men ate the bread only for the priests. That's why priests in the old testament were allowed to break the Sabbath in the temple (their priestly jobs didn't stop on the Sabbath). It's because it's good to do good on the Sabbath, over trying to perfect complete external commands. To do what's right in the eyes of God over the external practices of your hands is much better.

And there is a reason why it's better to do good on the Sabbath, because the Sabbath was made for us. In other words, if your family is poor, you have every right to work on the Sabbath to help your family financially. If your friend is in the hospital and needs someone to be there, you have every right to drive and do whatever you can to help them on the Sabbath. Good deeds rules over external practices. That's what the Sabbath rest was, an external practice. It was to help you draw close to God, which we should try to do everyday, not just in the Sabbath. But to do what's right has its rights.

Very true howard

Very true howard

very true indeed. Wait, was that for worshiping on Sunday, or was it Sabbath?

“In the 4th century, Jerome also refers to Nazarenes as those “…who accept Messiah in such a way that they do not cease to observe the old Law.” In his Epistle 79, to Augustine
By the time we get to Constantine’s adoption of ‘Christianity’ as a state religion, all of the original tenants (observation of Sabbath and Torah) were subject to persecution. All of the original tenants of the faith of the Nazarenes were outlawed and made punishable by death. Presumably, Yeshua would have been subject to these punishable offenses as well!
There were still believers in Yeshua who followed the pattern he himself established! They observed the Torah. They kept the Feasts and Sabbaths and dietary laws. They were described as ‘Jews who have converted to Christianity.’ Wikipedia goes on to document how these Nazarenes were persecuted.

Mat 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
...and He continues to tell who will be persecuted

Was he warning them of the events in the fourth century (and others), or are all persecutions a foreshadow of things to come? This scenario is repeated in the prophetic book of Revelation.
Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
What are the characteristics of this woman with which the dragon was wroth? Are they the same as those martyred by Constantine, the Inquisition etc.?
She is a remnant that keeps the commandments and the testimony of Yahshua. Not two women. Just one: the bride. The true ‘church’ that holds the same faith as that once delivered to the saints (Jude 1:3).

Homard: Lets zero in on this one question and not add any scripture that may or may not apply. Just concentrate on the seventh day Sabbath like a child sitting before the Father asking Him to explain. First, the Father would explain about creation, and how He made the last day of creation a holy day that He blessed. You ask about the lunar calendar that was used at that time, and God would explain that to you. It is how time was divided at the time the creation was explained, and then sun up to sun down divided days. God's Son explained a lot of things about how we were to honor this special day God gave to us, God expects us to listen to His Son. The Father assigned a people to live out His ways. They didn't do it very well, but we are to look to the ones who did live out God's instructions for ideas on how to follow God and Jesus His Son. God gave lots of instructions to us, but these are the instructions that apply to this one question about how to follow Him about the Sabbath.

In other word, there is none?

And I'm not here convincing people that they shouldn't observe the Sabbath so me providing scripture that does not exist (because the 7th day is only mentioned when God rested) wouldn't amount to much.

But I asked you because you said that the 10 commandments were in Genesis. I've read Genesis a few time and never read where God commanded anyone to observe the Sabbath. I mean as much as was said about the observance of the Sabbath after Exodus, there is nothing before Moses stated it to the Children of Israel.

There is no command in Genesis "Thou shalt not kill" but, they knew it was wrong and should keep that law. There is no command in Genesis about not worshiping idols yet they knew it was wrong. According to your logic because these commands are not found in Genesis does that mean they were not required? There is no text in all Genesis that says they did not keep the sabbath of the Lord.

And today's Pharisees (those who deny that Jesus is the Messiah) reject the one day in seven observed by the disciples, and by the vast majority of Christians for over 1900 years.

Show me from the day of Pentecost where the NT disciples, in the church, observed and practiced keeping the Sabbath as prescribed in the law. This is what happened at Pentecost when 3,000 souls were saved and added to the church...

Acts 2:46,47 46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

The only record we have of those keeping or gathering on the Sabbath after Pentecost were the practicing Jews, that Paul and others took opportunity to go in unto those gathered in the synagogue on the Sabbath, to preach Christ and to open the scriptures unto them concerning Christ. The epistles record no instructions to observe or keep the Sabbath for those who believed upon Christ, both of the Jew and the Gentile. If NT believers observed or gathered together on the Sabbath, it was not according to any mandate of the scriptures through the law but was of their own volition and accord to do so, being a common practice of the Jews to gather together on that day.
