'Son of God' Movie - Released Next Week!

Just incase you missed it advertized, this movie's in theaters next week.

Really can't wait to see it! I've been hoping that someone would put out a movie like this for the masses to watch, and now it's happening

I'm glad you're looking forward to the movie, but don't we already have enough threads on this? Also, I noticed the trailer looks more like a reworked movie version of The Bible TV series (Gospels part) than an entirely new creation.

I've been absent from this site for a while, so was not aware of other threads.

Yeah, I just realized that it's a reworked version, but not completely identical to the mini series. The fact the mini series was only on the history channel whereas this one's in the movie theatre is amazing news, there's more chance of non believers going to see it. I was actually praying that someone would put out a movie for the masses to see. Would still love to see someone do an end times movie also.

I'm not just excited to see it, more excited in the way God will use this to reach out to non believers. I think this will lead to questions and discussions afterwards.

Not sure where in Montana you are, but it looks to be showing in most theaters. Try searching with your zip code. If you miss it you can just get it on dvd.

We may not have found the perfect movie yet - the bible mini series left out some key parts, but for non believers the gospel message will get across and I believe God will use this latest movie to convict the lost.

I know someone that got saved after reading the section on the begats!

Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure the thief scene was in it, when I first watched it years ago, but the one I have here seems to have it cut out for some reason??

Sounds strange to you and I but for some, the begats shows that God's Word has real human history in it. If not for the begats, some would just see it as good stories - nothing more than myths.

"The Gospel of John" is the best & most complete Jesus movie I have seen. It is 5 hours & 15 minutes long. Jesus is played by Henry Ian Cusick and his acting ability is absolutely superb. In total I have 3 complete Jesus movies.

I'll look into that movie, looks good.

As I said, I'm excited in the way God will use this movie to reach out to non believers. When was the last time we had any movie like this in the cinema? Even if it turns out to be spiritually weak for Christians, as someone else mentioned, the gospel message should get across to the lost. How many might get saved after watching it and how many questions and discussions as a result of this movie?
