I can't go to a third world country right now and help as I'd like, but I can help people in need in my own backyard.

I can't stop the suffering in North Korea, but I can pray and spread the news about what is happening there.

I can't heal the hurts I see around me, but I can offer a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear and a prayer.

I can't save the world, but I can help at least one person everyday.

I can't sleep, but I can spend my time productively.

I can't see the future, but I can know the One who can.

I can't make people be forgiving and kind, but I can love them anyway.

I can't make the ugliness in the world go away, but I can help people appreciate the beautiful things.

I can't monetarily or physically help some of those I know in need but I can pray for them without ceasing.

I can't be what other's want or expect me to be but I can love unconditionally & be content in who God made me to be.

I can't donate a lot of money to help those in need... but I can donate my time for them. :) that's what I love about being a Red Cross volunteer.

I can't do anything on my own, but I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

I can't fix peoples problems, but I can introduce them to Christ who can.

I can't help everyone in need, but I can help someone in need.

Thanks to those of you who get this thread. The world can seem so large, life can be so overwhelming and we can feel so helpless. But for everything we think we can't do, there is something we CAN do. That's what we need to realize. Christ has made a way and love finds a way.

which country is a third world country?is it because you were taught so that you say so?
step out into the real world.there are enough poor people in your own nation,excluding the spiritually starving..
what standard are you using to say third world?!!.
lack of proper education i guess..

and you don't have to fly around the world to end problems,it will be there till the end of this world.
yes,help the people who are close to you is good enough and pls pray also to share the Gospel.
for social activities among Christians,its also a Calling.Don't embark on things that you are not called for.
Because all Christians activities must and should be done with Prayer.

and get rid off this 1st world/3rd world discrimination.don't forget that corporates in your own nation is sucking the live blood out of it and was responsible for so many blood shed around the world,so who is making the world pathetic and label them so?

How do you know what/where my calling of God is?
Exactly which part of helping people in "my own backyard" would mean I don't want to help people in my own country?
How does your misunderstanding and misreading of my post translate to a lack of proper education?

I can't donate to all the charities I wish I could, but I can find opportunities to help right here where I live.
I can't save my family and friends, but God can.
I can't cook traditional Mexican dishes, but I can cook some Asian dishes :)

If true, I would think it might be better to simply say that rather than to personally attack someone as well as their country. Sensitivity to a thing does not a derogatory term make.

Here's the thing, satan hates it when we give glory to God, which is the intent of this thread. We should expect some sort of disruption from time to time, but it's okay. God will still be glorified. :) *shrug*
