That is unfortunate. To follow Christ means to let go of sinful nature, not openly declare to everyone that it's okay to be living in sin. Good to hear that many Mennonites are against this decision.

Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Clam Bake?

"She will receive her license on February 2nd to serve as Pastor of Nurture and Fellowship at First Mennonite Church of Denver."

After reading this line, it seems as though the churches have much bigger fish to fry than worrying about homosexual associations, not that I approve of the growing trend of tolerance concerning degenerate human natures.

Since when did anyone need a license, certificate, or any man's (or woman's) approval to serve the Father? I wasn't aware John the Baptist was duly sworn in and officially licensed by the Scribes, Pharisees, Sanhedrin, or Sadducees.

What do I know though?

Send a fool on a fools errand?

Re: Clam Bake?

2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
2Th 2:5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
2Th 2:6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
2Th 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
2Th 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

Does anyone realize what these sick, sinful perverts do to each other? This is not a church---it's a spiritual whore house!

This proves that the Mennonite denomination also, has become utterly corrupt.
No it does not, there are many conferences within the denomination that have spoken against it, didn't you even read the article? I used to go to a Mennonite Church and there are people there who would disagree with this action and who I think reverently love the Lord.

"The Mennonite Church is split into various denominations. The largest Mennonite denomination in North America is the Mennonite Church USA. The 1995 Confession of Faith in a Mennonite Perspective expressly states that marriage is between one man and one woman.

The Mennonite Church USA, however, does have a small proportion of congregations that are "Welcoming Congregations" which are churches who are "welcoming" and "inclusive" of LGBTQ people in all levels of church life. The name "Welcoming Congregation" is a designation of the Brethren Mennonite Council for LGBTQ interests (BMC) an organization started jointly between the Brethren and Mennonite churches in the early 1970s.

The Brethren Mennonite Council on LGBT interests is an organizations that works among all Mennonite and Brethren denominations although other Mennonite denominations have not shown interest in having dialog on this issue." -Wikipedia

Looks like the bar fell into apostasy amongst some Mennonite congregations in the early 1970s.

I missed this and cannot believe how many churches satan has gotten
a stronghold over. This saddens me because every Mennonite will be
looked at differently.

My former Physician was a Mennonite. She is the most gentle, kind,
understanding woman Physician and human being who made you feel
special as a person and friend. She loved. She is unfortunately lesbian.

My husband and I were surprised to find this out. But we both still
loved her because she loved us. We did leave her care due to the fact
we were needing better medical care. However when we saw her out,
we never thought of her sexual orientation, we just saw her as a precious
woman.

I talked about Jesus and what He did in my life, never thinking of her
lifestyle. I am not defending her lifestyle. But I still love her as much
now as I did when she took care of our medical needs. I pray for her to
come out of that lifestyle. I leave her in Jesus' hands.

We are going to see many Churches split due to what has happened here.

This is why I consider myself non-denominational. I attend a church that is firm in Gods Word, with a pastor who really believes in God and the Bible.

What I can't understand with my logical mind is if someone wants to be an LGBTQ (what's the Q for? Maybe in case they forgot some group?) why not leave their denomination and join one that is already in the alphabet soup way? Why bring another denomination down?

Then my spiritual mind says, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood ..." Then I understand.

Satanism rules in many of these churches and I can only pray that those members who believe in the Scriptures will leave the hornet nest and find another church that preaches God's work.
So what's next... animal pastors?
(Not that I have anything against THAT btw)
;)
